I'm not exactly sure why I chose to start Black Clover 2-3 months after it ended, but I did, and boy oh boy do I have a lot to say.
The story is Shonen af: A young man named Asta strives to become the wizard king, despite the fact that he lacks mahou. But compared to other Shonen where they give our hero the power he lacks, this anime takes a different turn, and Asta remains magic free the whole story which I thought was an interesting choice in their part. A lot of people call this show a knockoff, but its like its a Shonen,
...
so of course its gonna have the typical shonen traits we've seen before in Naruto, Boku No Hero Academia, one piece, etc. Basically what I'm saying is that its not a knockoff, its just influence.
I've said this before, but an anime where the art style stands out is a huge welcome, and I can easily see that in the way the characters faces are drawn. And I think its also important to mention that even though I absolutely love some of the series that studio Pierrot puts out, studio Pierrot themselves are kind of mediocre in my opinion. mainly due to the fact that it feels like that they have room for improvement. Every now and then there will be shots that feel incomplete and rushed. Its mainly only the OP's and ED's where the animation is super good.
You know, before I saw this show, I saw everyone go absolutely ape-shit over the OP's of this show. And I had the same exact experience with the Fairy Tail OP's as I did with the OP's of this anime. I witness everyone loving the OP's, and the I check them out myself unimpressed. Now to be fair, Black Clover does have its fair share of fine ass OP's such as OP3, 4, 10, 11, 12, & 13. However, the rest are just average. The OP's and ED's are by no means bad, but that high bar that everyone else gives them are just to high for me to reach. I also wanted to bring up that I lowkey feel a little bad for Gakuto Kajiwara's throat in the first few episodes. Thank god they toned down Asta's screaming as the series continued because otherwise, Kajiwara Kun might've needed to get throat surgery like Okamoto Kun.
Characters are a very important part of storytelling, and Black Clover is no stranger to that. Within the first 20-30 episodes of this show, we are already introduced to like 50 or so characters, and although that me seem like a lot to take in, they actually handle it surprisingly well. I'm gonna keep it real with you and say that I really didn't give much of a damn about Charlotte. Other than her little gag with Yami, she really doesn't do much for me in my opinion. My least favorite character by far is Sol Marron because not only is she a big ass simp for Charlotte, but she's also sexist af. Like I seriously cannot understand a soul who would enjoy a character that literally hates half the population, and the same can be said about the witches in the witch arc. A little of topic, but why the hell is it always the tan girls in anime that irritate me the most, and Sol is just another member of that list. A lot of people love Yami, and I can understand why. He is a very badass guy, he orders everyone around like he's a drill sergeant or some shit, and he has a very optimistic attitude surpassing his caveats all the time. But I think the problem that I have with Yami is that he can get a little arrogant sometimes, and it can get really irritating. Noelle is cool I guess, but she's really nothing more than your stereotypical tsundere, and she's quite annoying on top of that. Fanzell Kruger is nice; I love his easy going personality, and well yes he does have an unhealthy habit of walking around exposed. At the same time though, I just cant help but feel bad for him considering the abusive relationship he's in. Gauche is kind of funny I guess, but he really doesn't have any other trait to him besides nosebleeding to his sister Marie which is sus af, but I can't deny that Marie is adorable. But by far the top 4 best characters in the whole damn show is Yuno, Charmy, Luck, and Asta. Yuno is so Sasuke like, and he just doesn't give a damn. He deserves better than Sylph, because Sylph is just flat out annoying as all hell; she's by far the most ear bleedingly awful character in the whole damn show. I love Charmy because she is by far the best girl in the show symptom and personality wise. You know this anime is doing something right when someone like me who only eats to live enjoys Charmy the most who is a girl that literally lives to eat. She's just so easy going and not to mention she's respectful as all hell, and on top of that, her voice actress shares the same birthday as me. Charmy is just the type of character who is simply impossible to hate. Now as much as I love Charmy, I love Luck even more because he more personality and development to him. I love his energetic mahou powers, and his psychotic and optimistic personality, and the fact that he always smiled, even when he lost his family. His best moment was in episode 105 when he bawled into tears for the first time in his life. That scene was just so sad and adorable that I lowkey just wanted to hug Luck and tell him that everything was gonna be ok. Asta being the star of the show is of course the best character because this man literally pushes himself to the extreme despite having no mahou powers and that there is no caveat to his extremely high energy. He legit went from almost giving up on his dream all together in the pilot to building his body like a damn mini hulk. This man is so badass when he's walking in the red smoke in his buff attire in the 13th opening. Its like "That's right Asta, that's what's up." He was obnoxious at first with all his screaming every 2 minutes, but they decreased that to a large extent after like 15 episodes or so.
As much as I enjoyed this shows beginning, I do agree with everyone that this anime did have quite a weak start. For me personally, the lowest point in Black Clover was from episode 52 to 72, but during around episode 80 was when the show was finally showing its true colors and potential, and it only got so much better from there. I really hate to say this I really do, but for an anime to redeem itself is such a rare thing, ESPECIALLY NOWADAYS. Seriously, for an anime to redeem itself is like seeing a youtuber maintain his popularity for a decade plus, because it is so rare that its almost nonexistent. I've been watching anime for 3 years now at this point, and for some reason Black Clover is the only anime I've seen that has crawled itself out of the toilet, and truly redeemed itself. The only other anime I've seen that managed to redeem itself is food wars, but then again food wars went back down in the shitter in season 5, so that show redeemed itself from its shitty first season, and then fell back at square one in the final season. I'm the type of guy who never drops an anime, unless its a recap or something I've already seen before because I'm the type of guy who likes to give things a second chance because at the end of the day, I'm not so cold blooded and I do understand that no one is perfect and that a first impression wont always be a final impression. So to see an anime learn from its past mistakes and built itself into a better show is what makes me love Black Clover so much and why the show earns my respect. For that one reason alone is why Black Clover is kind of special to me.
Overall, Black Clover may be your typical Shonen, and it is by no means a masterpiece, but don't let the cover fool you. If you happen to be starting this anime, or want to start it, its important to remember that patience is key. This anime may not have the best Kickstarter to it, but if you're a patient guy like me, I promise you that it does get so much better during episode 80 and above. And once again, Black Clover is a rare gem because it is the one and only anime I've witnessed that has truly redeemed itself in terms of quality, story, and characters. And one final thing that I wanted to point out before I get goin is that there surprisingly quite a bit of people on production of this show who are either born outside of Japan, or they are bilingual or trilingual. But with all that being said, thank you so much for taking the time outa your day to read my long ass review on Black Clover, and until next time, this is R.S.Soria signing out.

Now I had no idea what the hell I was expecting when I was first exposed to this new series, but goddamn dawg. From episode 1 alone, I was immediately hooked; Tokyo Revengers is Erased done right in my opinion. 2021 has given us a few stinkers so far, but this is by far my favorite anime of the year right next to Evangelion 4.0 and Nagatoro. I do have little nitpicks here and there, but they are super minimal, and they don't ruin the experience in any ways.
The first episode alone riled me in so fast; a young
...
guy named Takemichi who lives by himself in a messy apartment travels back to his middle school days when he was a delinquent in order to prevent the fate of his delinquent friends, and his girlfriend. Its such a simple, yet extremely well done premise, and it always hits.
I may not be a big fan of how the eyeballs have a very square shape to them, but an anime where the art style stands out is always a welcome in my eyes. The animation is very solid, (especially in the backgrounds) but some of the fight scenes could be a tad bit better. It was kind of easy to tell that some of the fist fights were lacking budget, but overall, everything else looked good. I also found it interesting how this anime had the dudes in early to late middle school, and yet they all look and sound like small young adults, even when they were 12 and 13 years old. Most anime will have middle school guys be voiced by ladies, even if they are 14 or 15 yrs old, but this show is an exception. That tells me that all the guys in this show are early bloomers.
Yuuki Shin did a phenomenal job as Takemichi; other than having an extremely small roll in Beastars, this was my first real exposure to Shin-Kun, and I thought he did excellent. His scream in episode 12 was so perfect, it sounded like Yuuki really was traumatized in the voice recording studio. It was also very nice hearing Tatsuhisa and Yoshitsugu again because I'm very fond of those two seiyuus. The OP absolutely slaps, and I'm so happy they kept it the same for all 24 episodes. The EDs are also pretty decent, but goddamn, the OP just tops both EDs.
This show has a very strong cast of characters; although Takemichi is a bit of a cry baby, (no pun intended) he's a very relatable guy, and I sympathize with him a lot (especially in episode 12). And on top of that, he's got some literal thick skin from all the the moments he gets his ass socked by other delinquents. I really look forward to seeing his development in season 2 because currently, he keeps repeating himself saying that he needs to get stronger, but isn't actually putting in the work or trying to get stronger. All of Manjirou's gang members are always respecting and bowing down to him, and putting him as superior to them, but this doesn't boost Mikey's ego to an unhealthy height, which is what I love most about Mikey. He's a very careless dawg, and even with all his delinquent minions supporting him, it doesn't make him think highly of himself above others or anything. All the other characters have their little traits, but since this is only 24 episodes, we'll all have to wait until the 2nd season to see their characters expand.
This show is absolutely fantastic at making you have fun with it so much, that you can very easily forgive and ignore the little errors. The plot twists and cliffhangers are some of the absolute best I've seen in a while, and episode 12, episode 16, and episode 24 are all perfect examples of that. The pacing is absolutely perfect, and the suspense is always present. Episode 12 legit shocked the hell outa me when the camera zoomed out and showed that Hina wasn't actually sitting down; that episode also kind of woke me up to realize that car accidents can be a lot more deadly I thought they were. The end of episode 12 was the moment this became of favorite anime of 2021. Episode 16 where Baji and Kazutora wanted to steal a bike for Mikey, only to discover that Mikey's brother already had a cycle ready for him was another win win in the series. And the aftermath of Baji and Kazutora getting caught red handed after they misunderstood only made the moment better. And on top of all that, the 24th Episode where Takemichi was in the present, and shit went south was such a fine ass cliffhanger, and it seriously makes me curious wanting to know what will happen next.
Overall, Tokyo Revengers was one fire anime, and I'm holding my damn fingers crossed for a season 2. If your into suspenseful action crime stories, plot twists and cliffhangers, or young teens going at war with each other, then this show is right up your alley. I really don't like the direction that seasonal anime have been going since covid started, (especially in this year of 2021) but once again, Tokyo Revengers is my favorite anime of 2021 right next to Evangelion 4.0 and Nagatoro. But with all that being said, thank you for taking the time to read my review; this is R.S.Soria signing out.

If I'm being real here, this second season doesn't really feel like much of an upgrade from the first season of Gintama other than the fact that its now finally in 16:9. The first two episodes of this second season had my hopes up that this show was gonna go in a new and exiting direction, but instead they decided to go back to their old typical ways of lowest common denominator humor.
The story feels exactly the same as how it did in the first season which is something I'm happy about because the single episodes with the
...
occasional 3-6 episode arcs is a very clever strategy, especially for a show that's this long.
The art is definitely an upgrade from the first season. I have very mixed thoughts on sunrise studios because they are a very hit or miss studio in my opinion, but they give Gintama the nice smooth animation it deserves.
Just like the first season, the soundtrack and voice acting are easily my favorite part of this show because its so simple to tell that the voice actors are giving this they're absolute all. And just like the first season, the OP's & ED's of this second season are absolutely slaps as hell. I really have to give this show credit on one thing that despite how decent, yet ridiculously overrated both this show and second season is, this anime seriously has some bomb ass taste in music, dawg. Like forreal, I can listen to these OP's and ED's all day with no complaints.
The characters is where I'm kind of let down on in this sequel season because I was seriously expecting this show to continue on with everyone being 2 years older with Shinpachi being the only one who didn't change. The first 2 episodes felt new, refreshing, and exiting. So it really hit me hard when I discovered that they weren't gonna give this series the Shippuden treatment. Other than that, my symptoms on these characters hasn't changed at all since season 1, and I believe that's probably for the better. But I will mention this that I forgot to say in my season 1 review of Gintama. How Gintoki is still alive is beyond me because I don't think folks have really thought to themselves just how much extremely physical painful moments Gintoki has tolerated. I mean, this man has literally gotten stabbed in his appendix, had one of his balls sliced in half, and somehow he's still standing on his own 2 feet. Like this mans such a badass, and he's a character who even influences me a little. Katsura is still my favorite supporting character in this show despite only making appearances here and there. Another supporting character that I really enjoy is Tatsuma. I forgot to mention that in my first season review, but I really enjoy Tatsuma's optimistic cocky personally, even though being cocky is his weakness. This man doesn't fear no one, and is always keeping it cool which is my favorite part of his character, and what makes him stand out from the other characters. I forreal believe that Tatsuma is underrated as hell, and I'm very happy that this 2nd season acknowledged that he lacks screen time.
As I said a little earlier; the 2 year time skip arc left me disappointed knowing that nothing was gonna change both humor wise, and character wise. The Jugem arc was pretty damn weak in my opinion simply because it was unfunny and stupid, and the same thing can be said about the Scandal arc. However, this second season did offer some fine ass arcs at the same time. Like the Vacation arc I thought was pretty fun, even though it was just Tokugawa ShigeShige getting lost and abused like a damn toy. I forreal fell a little bad for ShigeShige, like he's a cool dude he's chill af, but he's always getting treated by others like an object more than a human being. But by far my favorite arc of this season was the star wars parody Renho arc because this arc shined on all the aspects I love about Gintama. Katsura and Elizabeth really steal the show in this arc, and Tatsuma finally gets time to shine in this arc. Although the Dark Vader joke was a little weak (it would've been more clever if they called him Darth Elizabeth or Duck Vader.) it was still cool nonetheless. I also found the several Elizabeth clones with different hairstyle's and fashion very fascinating. This arc is easily one of the best arcs of the whole damn series.
Overall, this second season felt more or less the same as the first season, which is by no means a bad thing, but I just found the time skip arc only lasting 2 episodes to be kind of a dick move. The humor is exactly the same with the same bathroom jokes that in anime at least I really don't find appealing. Like if I really wanted to see lowest common denominator humor, I'd go watch Bryant Moreland or something like that. And on top of that, I still think that this anime is decent, but nothing to write home about. And like I said in my first season review; its easy to understand why people love this show, but people just push it way much in my point of view. So yeah, after watching 252 episodes of this anime out of 375, I think it's safe to say that this anime definitely isn't for everyone. Don't get me wrong, I think Gintama's a fun anime, but that high bar that everyone is giving this show is just too high for me to reach.
With all that being said, I'm gonna put this anime on hold for about a year or 2 until I check out the rest of the seasons simply because I feel like I could be watching something that I would enjoy more than Gintama, and also because I got through 252 episodes, so I'm already over halfway there. Personally, I don't really recommend this second season or this show, but don't take my word on that because if you want to watch this anime or this second season regardless of what I told you here, by all means be my guest because there's a good chance that you'll love this anime a hell of a lot more than I did. So in conclusion, I believe that Gintama is a decent, yet overwhelmingly overrated anime with lots of ups and downs, and until I continue this series from season 3 to the final season; I'm gonna take a one year break from this show, so pls bare with me. But with all this being said, thank you so damn much for reading my review on Gintama Season 2. This is R.S.Soria signing out, and you have a fine ass day, chow.

At the time I'm writing this review, I had just got finished watching the first season of Gintama, but before I express my thoughts on the first half of this show, I'd like to share my little history I had with this show before I began watching it about 3-4 months ago. I was first exposed to Gintama during the time Jujutsu Kaisen was airing, because I saw someone mention the show in the comment section of a video where Itadori was watching LOTR, and so I was surprised that after 2 and a half years of watching anime
...
at the time, only NOW was this show finally getting recommended to me. It's like this show is Rated #15 on myanimelist, and only NOW am I finally hearing others mention this anime. But regardless, I'm kind of happy that it took me forever to discover this show, because this show is flooded with references that I'm sure I would have no damn clue about if I saw this show in my early freshmen weeaboo days. When it comes to story, this show kicks off the first couple 100 episodes as episodic, which to anyone who's read my Ranma review, you will know that rare episodic anime is something I enjoy, so that was a win win in my eyes. Sure, the show did eventually transfer to arc episodes, but those arcs were only around like 5 episodes. So in that case, this show is very good at pacing. One thing that I thought was kind of poorly executed about this show was the fact that the drama felt forced af half the time using the same damn piece of soundtrack, and it was rare when the dramatic moments actually worked. Another thing that I do find very hit or miss about this show is it's sense of humor. The references to other anime, and the goofy dialogue were my favorite humorous moments about this show, but the rest of the humor in this anime falls kind of flat in my opinion. Now I understand that humor is very suggestive, but using the same feces jokes, piss jokes, and exposed men in public is simply not funny to me; it gets repetitive super fast, and even the show admitted that themselves, which is another thing I really wanna point out. By far my favorite part about this show that debates me on changing my score from a 7.5 to an 8 is the fact that this show is very aware of how ridiculous it is, and how despite the fact that this first season lasted from 2006 to 2010, the episodes from 2008 to 2010 were still stick in the 4:3 sized tv screen, which I thought was weird and unusual, but very interesting at the same time. 2008 was the year that 16:9 sized screens started to become a hell of a lot more common on tv, but there's a good chance that this show decided to catch up to that 3 years late on purpose. I mean this show was animated by sunrise studios; the same studios that animated both code geass and inuyasha final act, and both of those shows were in 16:9 sized screens while while airing during 2006 and 2009. But despite the mystery behind the screen size of this show, the character designs and art are very weird, but unique, much like Eiichiro Oda's art style. Some of the designs are a lil weird to me, but the color scheme of this show is by far the best part of this show; I just absolutely love the color choices and range in colors that they chose, which makes this show very pleasant to look at. The sound really couldn't be any better than it already is, because literally all the opening theme songs of this show are slapz af with not a single disappointment; literally some of the best anime OP's of all time. The EDs are pretty damn good too with the notable exception of the 2nd ED. When it comes to voice acting, it is so easy to tell that all the seiyuus were having a lot of fun recording this in the studio, cause there characters are always talking faster than all hell. I believe that everyone in the cast gave this show their absolute all, especially Tomozaku Sugita; there really wasn't any other more perfect choice for Gintoki that him. It was only natural for someone like Sugita-sama to land the roll of Gintoki. This show has an absolute big ass crusade of characters, and I'm very happy to say that most of them last least were very likable and enjoyable. Gintoki runs the show the whole way through, and he's always such a blast to watch. Shinpachi is always pointing shit out that doesn't look like good news, and I forreal wish they didn't make him such a punching bag. Kagura is absolutely adorable; I love her high pitched ass voice, her relationship with Sadaharu, and her (at least most of the time) adorable attitude. Toshi is also pretty good; episode 119 where he's desperate to smoke is by far my favorite episode starring him, but what I didn't understand at all was why the hell they decided to have Sougo Okita betray him, and leave him to fall to his death only for Toshi to come back less than 10 episodes later as if nothing happened. Maybe the jigsaw arc was a filler arc, but as far as I know, that's just not very good writing killing a character, and then bringing him back like nothing happened. Tae Shimura is alright, but she doesn't really have much to offer on the table, and she can get a lil irritating sometimes. But by far my favorite supporting character in this show has to go to Katsura Kotarou and Elizabeth, not only because Elizabeth is a mysterious adorable Duck thing, but because Katsura is very rarely see hanging with others in the show, because he's his own man. He's a very chill dude who goes about his own beeswax, and in general he's just an extremely likable character who honestly deserved more screen time than he actually got. If I'm being dead ass here, the only character that I really couldn't give less of a damn about is Ayame Sarutobi. Not only because she teases the ever-living dog shit outa me, but because she really doesn't have anything to offer on the table. All she stands out for is being a horny slutty lil simp bitch for Gintoki, and Gintoki being the thot slaying chad that he is, couldn't care less about her, and is always throwing that bitch aside which is another thing that I like about Gintoki is that he doesn't tolerate simping thots. When it comes to enjoyment, I generally did enjoy this shows goofy, yet unique storytelling and wacky ideas. And well yes, its true that this show does have a few bad episodes that make me reconsider whether it was a good idea to start this anime or not, it was fun nonetheless. Overall, I will admit that I am a tad bit disappointed with this show, and I do believe that it's overrated. But I can't help but say that its easy to understand why people love this anime, and even I have to admit that I liked it; I just didn't love it like everyone else did. But regardless, Gintama is a good decent anime. And although yes, it does have its flaws and its a very generic shounen, its not afraid to admit that. And I'm looking forward to the later seasons expecting them to be even better. So if your looking for something simple to laugh at if your into parody, goofy, witty, or bathroom type of humor, than this is the show for you that I recommend giving a go. But with all that being said, thank you so much if you found this Gintama Review helpful. This is R.S.Soria signing out, and you have a good night, because I'm about to go to bed right now after writing down this long ass review for 2 hours.

I've said this once before, but I absolutely love Rumiko Takahashi's content, & Ranma is no exception. I was absolutely hooked from the start knowing that I was already gonna love this show, since it was created by my favorite manga artist, & starring one of my favorite seiyuu's: Kappei Yamaguchi. And on top of that, I have a very soft spot for old school anime, because not only do they not tease me as much as modern anime, but its just fascinating watching old ass anime that's like 25+ years old. So starting off with story, this show
...
has a very solid premise: A young man named Ranma is cursed by a cursed spring from China that turns him into a lady while being hit with cold H20, & turns him back into a man while being hit with hot H20. This show is very unique when it comes to how its structured, because unlike most anime this one is an episodic anime. Now granted, it's still a story with time moving forward throughout the episodes, but every episode stands out in its own way with the occasional 2 episode stories here & there, but nonetheless 98% of the anime is episodic stories which is something you'd expect from a western cartoon. Rumiko Takahashi's art style may be just one of my favorites, I absolutely love her character design, (especially on Mousse) because unlike most anime I've seen, she draws male pupils the same exact size as female pupils. Now, I'm not against drawing male characters with smaller pupils than the females, because it makes it easier to tell who's who. But I really appreciate Takahashi sama's choice of drawing the male characters with big pupils with the exception of Kuno & Soun, but I digress, because everyone in real life has the same pupil size. Really the only character design I don't like much is the fact that Ryoga & Ranma share the same haircuts minus the braid, & they have somewhat similar fashion making it a lil tough to tell who is who whenever both characters are on screen, but that's just a tiny lil nitpick that doesn't really matter, since Ryoga wears a headband unlike Ranma, & both the characters have voices that are different enough to tell the difference. Despite when this show was released & its episode count, the animation is very solid. Of course there will be extremely little error's here & there, but I believe that's forgivable considering that this anime was made in the late 80s to early 90s, & that it was 161 episodes long. The soundtrack is rather decent. There are good op's & ed's here & there, but nothing crazy slapz to write home about. I very rarely talk about sub vs dub, because #1 I believe its a very repetitive subject, & #2 I mostly stick to sub at least 86% of the time, simply because I prefer to listen to the original Japanese cast. But I just gotta say dawg, I really love the performance that the seiyuu's put into this. As for the dub, I seriously wish they didn't cast a lady to voice both male & female Ranma. I understand why they did it, because it would be a hell of a lot easier for them, but then again the female voice just doesn't fit male Ranma since he's a 16 yr old dude, & not a lil kid. I've heard a very small clip of Richard Ian Cox dubbing the male Ranma, & he seriously fits the dub role for Ranma much better, since both Richard & Yamaguchi Kun voiced Inuyasha & Ranma. Unfortunately, I can't find the dub that stars Richard Ian Cox anywhere, so if anyone has access to it, I'd love to see it. But its not like it really matters since I prefer watching this show in Japanese. The characters are absolutely outstanding in this anime. By far my favorite side character is Mousse, because I believe he's underrated as hell, I love his appearance, his humor, his curse, his crush on Shampoo, & I also really love his seiyuu Toshihiko Seki. I heard that guy was tested positive for covid a few months ago at the time I'm writing this review, so I wish him well & seriously hope he's doing alright today. I love Kuno's running gag of him calling female Ranma "pigtailed girl", & how he always has to bring up his personal bio in every conversation he's in. Ryoga is a good character as well. He may not be one of my favorites, but it's easy to understand why he's the most popular supporting character in the show, because not only does he have a very mature personality, but he's like the only character that's both equal & slightly higher than Ranma when it comes to strength, which makes sense since the two dudes are basically rivals. Ranma & Akane are of course the two characters that shine the most since they are the only 2 main characters of the whole show, seeing two tsundere's being shipped is always interesting since it's not something you see very often in anime, & it's really only something you see Rumiko Takahashi do with both this show & Inuyasha. To be dead ass, the only character that I don't like all that much is Happosai. And before you say it, no it's not because he's an elderly pervert, because I enjoyed Masher Roshi from Dragon Ball despite the fact that he was an elderly perv, because unlike Happosai, Roshi actually pays the price for spying on ladies, & gets a good beating, he was a very humorous character which I enjoyed. Happosai on the other hand is always escaping & getting Scott-free with his actions always dashing away with a bag full of panties, & its not extremely rare, but pretty damn rare that we ever see him get his short ass kicked for being the panty thief that he is. But what's even worse is when he staples his pervy actions on others. Perfect example is in episode 40 where Happosai pictured Ranma to be someone that he's not right of front of all the ladies, therefore Ranma wrongly got his ass beat by all the ladies at the bathhouse, when in reality they should've been beating Happosai's ass instead. Then a few seconds later, he asks Ranma why Ranma always gives him a hard time while squirting soap in Ranma's eyes. I forreal don't understand why Ranma never stands up for himself or ever defends himself in conversations half the time, sometimes he does, but typically he doesn't. I'm lowkey surprised Ranma didn't respond back saying "That's what I should be asking you." because I know for a fact that's what I would've dont if I was in Ranma's shoes. Sorry that I got a lil ranty, it's not like I think Happosai is a badly written character or anything, I just don't think he's very likable, but it's easy to get over him fast since he is just a supporting character at the end of the day, & he's very overshadowed by all the other great characters in this show. This show is entertaining af, almost every episode is absolutely outstanding, & the fact that this is an episodic anime only helps that more seeing something new happening every time not knowing what's coming next. Overall, this show was great af, entertaining af, & in general just another reason why I love Rumiko Takahashi so much, & why I believe she's such an incredible storyteller. Sure there were lil issues here & there that I had with this show, but all those tiny ass flaws are completely overshadowed by everything that's great about this anime. If your into classic old school anime with that sort of old look to it, & if your really into Japanese content or Martial Arts type shit like I am, than I can guarantee you dawg, this show is right up your alley. I just spent 2 hours writing this review down, & it's been about 3 months since I finished this show, so I'm very happy that I finally got my thoughts & opinions on this show off my chest, so if you've read my review till the end, thanks for sticking around, & you have a goodie.

Overall: 9/10
(A few Spoilers Ahead)
Despite the fact that I Gave this anime a 9/10, I have a very love hate relationship with Darling in the FranXX, and its all because of one reason...one big reason, & its the only thing that's stopping me from giving this show a solid 10. Because that one reason just so happens to be a character that I really don't like, I'll save my favorite & least favorite characters for the end of my review. The story & is very solid, it started off simple & a lil sugary in the first 5 or 6
...
episodes, but it slowly but surely improves & gets better over time. The art is one of my favorites as well, the action looks decently smooth, & the character designs are average, but good. The sound is absolutely outa this world, the opening theme is easily one of the best themes I've heard in a long ass time, to where I covered it myself, & although I destroyed my voice doing that, because it's such a high pitched song, & I'm a dude, but nonetheless I loved the song. For me, the enjoyment was depending on how much I loved the characters, & this is where I'm gonna start to go a lil ape shit of the one single character that doesn't pleasure me very much, but before I do that I have to mention my top 3 favorite characters in this show: Hiro, Zorome, & Ichigo. Hiro is such a fantastic, greatly written, wholesome, down to earth dude that I have nothing but sympathy for him, & I feel hella bad for him too. My second favorite character is Zorome, because he doesn't take shit from anyone, & always try's to explain himself & his reasoning for stuff, which is something you rarely see main characters do in an anime so standing up for themselves instead of just letting others step on them. One of my favorite moments from Zorome is where the wedding gets crashed, & unlike everyone else, Zorome isn't even scared of the dudes that barged in & ruined the wedding, hes just gets pissed off & irritated being all like "Who the hell are you guys?' I just thought that scene of him was silly & genius, I love it. What I mainly love about Ichigo is that she's the only other female character other than Zero Two who generally loves Hiro, & cares for him, & unlike Zero Two, Ichigo doesn't play stupid games with Hiro or say hypocritical shit, she is always 100% dead ass with Hiro, & that's what I love about her most. Ok...NOW that I've gotten all my favorite characters outa the way, I've been dreading talking about this character for over a week at the time I'm writing this review. This character is the one major reason why I refuse to give this anime a solid 10, & her name is none other than Zero Two. I don't give a damn about how many weebs I just triggered right now, I REALLY don't like Zero Two. She is by no means the worst thing ever, because she shows love for my favorite character Hiro, but it still does not change the fact on how unlikable she is. Yes, her moments with Hiro are bitter sweet, but she is a very unapologetic, hypocritical, lil bitch who doesn't even care about others half the time (with the exception of Hiro of course), but even then, her actions not only toward the rest of her piers, but also towards Hiro, this all shows in episode 8 where she said that Hiro was pervy when in reality it's Zero Two that's the pervy one, because not only did she walk on into him in episode 4, but in episode 8, she literally lied to all the dudes about the restrooms being available to men, when in reality, the restroom was females only, & the dudes would bathe outside in the lake. So that's a strike right there, she's a big ass fibber. The next few strikes grinded my shit even more when after she stole all the dudes clothes in a basket, took off Hiro's towel by force not once, but twice, & then perceived to throw all the dudes laundry on the roof of the building, so she got no business calling Hiro the perv, when in reality, its her that is the perv with the naughty mind. I still remember watching that rooftop scene from episode 8 after watching every pervy action she just did, I crossed my goddamn fingers & was all like "Don't you dare say it, don't say what I think your about to say!". I mean seriously, it was almost like this show was was reading my goddamn mind that I said that in my head, because literally less than 10 seconds later, she fucking said it, she fucking falsely called Hiro a perv, & I was so pissed that I predicted something that I didn't want to predict, that a small part of me died after watching episode 8 which was by far the worst episode of the series. The reason it baffled me so much was because #1 she pretty much described herself after what she did, & #2 Hiro is the polar opposite of a perv if anything, because not once in the show did he ever get a bloody nose, or purposely try to turn himself on. And #3 it showed how hypocritical Zero Two is, & I can't stand hypocrites. Also, Zero Two still thought of Hiro as that in episode 19, & in episode 16 she played with the other girls oppai, which I thought was funny but still showed how much of hypocrite that she was calling others pervs when she was groping others. And right before that bath scene in episode 16 she told Hiro "no peeking" which irritated me not a lot, but still enough to start growling like an animal, because like I said before, Hiro is not the type of guy to spy on girls like that, & that is more of something that Zero Two would carelessly do, I would be surprised. But despite all those flaws of Zero Two, her best & most redeeming moment by far was in episode 15 which was my favorite episode, because that episode made her wake up & realized what she was doing wrong, & even though I'm still mad that she never apologized once in the entire show, this episode was the closest we could get to that, because this episode was absolutely beautiful & it made me show a lot of sympathy for not only Hiro, but Zero Two surprisingly, because episode 15 reminded me that even though Zero Two is far from perfect, & can be a hypocritical jack ass at times, she still cares deeply for Hiro, & Hiro loves her too, so in that case I don't hate Zero Two entirely, I just think that she's an extremely overrated waifu, & is not a very likable main character, & gets very little character development. Overall, my point of view on Zero Two is the exact same as Josh Strider's point of view on Light Yagami, & although I highly recommend Darling in the FranXX if your into sci-fi romance, please be aware that this show really does not have a very good protagonist that is Zero Two. This is by far the longest review I've wrote so far, so thank you if you've read till the end, & you have a good one.

Holy shit dude! This movie might have been one of the best, if not THE BEST MOVIE THEATRE EXPERIENCES IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I had to wait exactly one week to see this movie in theaters after it's US release, but you know what? It was worth it, & the months of hype for this movie since its japanese October release date was 100% justified. I can forgive the cgi that they used here & there, because the animation was absolutely beautiful just like the show. The show itself is visually amazing, so the fact that they
...
kept the animation the exact same for the film was an absolute welcome win in my opinion. Watching this in theaters really helped with the big ass screen, & listening to the original Japanese voices from the speakers was a fucking blast, dude! This was my first ever time watching an anime movie in theaters, & what I loved most about it was the fact that it was cannon unlike most anime movies, & it picked up right where season 1 left off. I'm telling you dawg, if you wanna really enjoy this movie, I HIGHLY recommend you watch it in theaters if you get the chance, because you won't regret it, if you like the show, you will LOVE the movie. I almost teared up watching this, & seeing Tanjiro's dreams of his siblings, & Zenitsu's dream of him & Nezuko was just way too Kawaii for me to handle. All the characters in general are their typical selves just like in the show, Inosuke is still the high energy basterd that we all love him for, Zenitsu is still the coward yet badass comic releif that we all love him for, but by far Rengoku was the one character that was portrayed the best. His goal & purpose was served, completing his bucket list, & there really wasn't any better way they could've handled his character than how they already did. Overall, I really hope I get to binge this movie in theaters again if I get the chance, but if I don't, fuck it, I saw it once in theaters, & I'm satisfied & pleased with what I got. I had high expectations for this movie after I heard that this movie surpassed Spirited Away's record of highest grossing animated film in Japan, & those expectations were completely justified. And I love Spirited Away, don't get me wrong, but damn, I will never forget the experience I had n the theaters watching this movie, because I was just all like to myself, "Am I really doing this right now? Am I seriously watching an anime movie in theaters?" So yeah, go watch this film in theaters if you get the chance, & if you love the show, because I guarantee you, it will not disappoint.

By far the best written anime I've ever seen. I am by no means an Asuka simp, but Asuka's like the 2nd most tolerable tsundere out there. Shinji & Misato are by far the two best characters, because Misato is selfless af as she takes care of both Shinji & herself all at once. I also love how monotone Rei is, & the only thing I didn't like character wise was Asuka practically taking issue's out on Shinji making her look like a bully. But the interaction between Shinji & Asuka is probably the best part about this anime,
...
because it's so realistic. Asuka is teasing & confusing the hell outa Shinji, in one scene, she's nagging at him, but then in another scene, she's asking to kiss him cause she's bored. And it really hits me personally, because I went through some similar shit in sophomore year with a girl named Amelie (who was my middle school ex btw), & much like Asuka, she would tease me, get pissed at me, & lowkey confuse me wondering, does she really like me, or she just pulling my leg? So when it comes to characters, its the greatest written characters I've ever seen. I also really enjoy the forest surrounding the town setting, & the fact that this show has both comedic & very serious moments at the same time. I never understood why Hideaki got a bunch of shit for this one, I loved both the show & The End Of Evangelion, & he fact that this was influenced from his personal life only makes it feel more real. Either way, if your looking for an anime that's 800 times more character driven than story driven, then this is one is right up your alley.

If you are looking for an anime for some fine ass vibes, than this one is right up your alley. Rumiko Takahashi is one of my favorite manga arts ever. I love her style, & this anime shows that. The ed's are some of the best I've ever heard, the soundtrack couldn't be anymore perfect, & the beautiful feudal setting with all the tree's & mountains just scream far east. Shippo & Miroku are by far my two favorite characters, because Shippo is just your average cute little bastard, & Miroku is just a very entertaining wholesome dude who
...
knows when to be serious & knows when to be freaky. And on top of that, this show does censorship the right way, because with most 12 episode long anime being teased with censorship always pissed me off, but with this show, the censored fan service doesn't bother me 1 bit, because you get so invested into what's happening on the story, that you don't care if the fan service sucks. Overall, its a great, fantastic, fun, & enjoyable Shonen with some of the best music I've ever heard, & some of the greatest vibes.

Very disappointing show if you ask me. Does it have it's pros? Yes, but most of them are pretty minor & a lot of what I could've liked in this show just ended up being wasted potential. I like the characters (especially Nior) even though they are cliché characters, they are likeable nonetheless, Nior is a very innocent & wholesome dude & that's what I like about him. The characters that I don't like are the other male students, because they are portrayed so poorly as typical horney teens who don't give a damn about nothing else, & it
...
was so stupid. The opening theme is mediocre, but at least it doesn't hurt to listen too, the ending theme on the other hand is very pleasant to hear. Every now & then, there will be little elements in episodes or little shits & giggles that I really fuck with, but they aren't really much to write home about. I would've liked episode 10 if it didn't tease the hell outa me with all the goddamn steam in da way, which left me in a bad mood, so that was wasted potential for sure. I like the LP concept, & although its executed kinda weirdly, I can get over that fast. But I think the part that left me unimpressed the most to even calling this show bad is the boring ass executed fan service, but if your the type of person who enjoys fan service no matter what, than this is the anime for you. But if your someone who has standards like me when it comes to fan service & ecchi scenes, than I suggest you just stay the hell away from this one. Overall, it was simply a bad, disappointing, big ass time waster, but at least it wasn't a dumpster fire like Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-Kun.
