Fight League: Gear Gadget Generators

Story - 3: could be nice, but is so boring.
Art - 10: The art is done so well, enjoying just to see even just photos from this anime characters.
Sound - 9: Very good opening, good ending song, nice ost.
Character - 9: The characters have anime personalities, even in game they look nice.
Enjoyment - 5: Due to very boring story, the sounds, character and art dont make it too good, with a decent story this anime could be really good.
Overall - 6.
You can watch this if youre a fan of the game or you will be a fan of the game maybe after you watch.

It's a good show. I want a season 2. It is a very unique thing to see and the song is great and because it's so short, I feel it was a key thing in making the story work and not feel like a waste of time. Although others may think differently. For a 26 episode mini series, it is definitely worth giving a shot.
I personally love the art style, and the fighting is great, and the characters are well designed and their personalities are unique and I just love it. Like some people are just so unexpectedly different from what you would normally assume.

Since this is an anime about battling and was created after a video game, you can expect, where the focus of this anime is set.
This is a sort of a 10 minute per episode anime, and nearly every episode contains a battle.
The animation is very great, it is colorful, has nice camera rides and for a 2d animation, it looks pretty deep.
For a normal anime, the story and the characters are a bit to flat, although they tried to put in some moral about friendship and working together inside, but for this anime, it was enough.

The anime delivers exact the thing, wich it is promising: ... battles full of action, great animation and short entertainment, you can wach between something else, if you are bored right now, or if you want to watch a good anime, when you have not much time.
If you now all this, there isn't anything bad, about the story or characters, wich aren't that deep.

The only bad point, i can tell so far is the speed of the anime.
Of course it is about cool, fast battles, but especially at the first episode, some parts where a bit to fast and i couldn't really see every character battling, and every detail, i wish i would have seen.
But either i got used to this very fast, or the problem didn't occurred anymore, in the next episodes.

Conclusion: This anime delivers exactly, what it is promising and if you like this kind of stuff, you should definitively watch it.
If you want to see a long anime, with a deep, long story, you still should watch this, but shouldn't be disappointed, about the story.

Edit: The story increases its potential, after some more episodes.
Also, thy tried to put in some character development and some interesting backstorys for some of the characters.
It still might be not a as big story than in some other anime, but it surly surprised me and was more, than i expected and wished myself.

This show is cool as balls.

One of few shows that look good in CGI, has very enjoyable characters and cool battles. The main characters try to enter the Fight League and for that they need to get some recognition by doing a lot of fighting against other teams.

G-Wrench is my favorite. Cool design, caring, kinda punkish and ready to kick some ass. In serious situation she reminds me of Matoi Ryuko from Kill la Kill. Another cool character. :D

There is also a mystery regarding who Monocrome is, a cute girl that becomes G-Wrench's little sister pretty much.

This show is a promotional anime for the Japanese Online Game Fight League (ファイトリーグ). Tho I won't get into how this anime compares to the video game since I didn't play it yet.

The anime is about a girl named Torque Twister G-Wrench (yes, that's her name) who wants to enter the Fight League with her team Bolttechs, but since they keep losing against strong opponents in the GGG cup, they never managed too. So G-Wrench upgrades her Gear (the weapon she is using. Literially a giant wrench) with a mysterious chip her Grandpa forbid to touch as a little child.
With her upgraded wrench, she enters ... again the GGG cup summoning a mysterious girl named Mona Chrome who helps her to win.
The rest of the episodes focus on Chrom adapting to the real world since she has been manifested into a completely different world and them facing various strong teams to increase their win streak. That is obviously the most I can tell without spoiling the truth about Chrome.

So what do I think about it?
Since it is a promotional anime, it is just half as long as a regular anime episode. The battles are in CGI. Since it is based on a game, you have them interact with attacks like they do in video games such as Poisoning giving you a purple aura which slowly weakens you but not risk your life etc.
While I dislike CGI, it doesn't bother me this much in this show. It's a promotional anime so the budget is likely really low. But I don't recall any reuse of animation thanks to that and the CGI isn't as noticeable like in something like RWBY. The battles are very engaging despite the gears looking quiet hilarious and not something you would expect to be useful in a battle minus the ones Chrome uses.

Promotional animes don't do much of a good job with her characters but I am surprised how the show handles its cast. Chrome trying to learn about the world is really fun to watch and trying to adapt to the team. She is also really honest with her thoughts since she is a child so she doesn't hold back if she has something in mind. Her gear look like children blocks at first glance but can protect her from incoming projectiles, make her fly and turn into a lance which looks pretty cool.

What surprises me that I like the G-Wrench like at all. She comes off as really selfish by not listening to her grandpa. Using the ship without his permission or knowing nothing about. Sending out Chrome to get her a soda from a vending machine forgetting that she is still a child. She is also really goofy and tries to make Chrome a fan of her favourite anime Gunbar which she likes to quote stuff from regularly. But she really does care about her teammates a lot which does result of her getting her caught of guard. But like a true team leader, she does her best to not let her teammates get harmed and sometimes she is serious When she does, get badass. When that happens, I feel like she resembles Matoi Ryuko from Kill La Kill. Also I love her character design. It looks badass even with, or rather especially with, the giant wrench in her hands. I mean can you imagine how heavy that thing has to be?

The other characters aren't as notable as of Episode 14 which I thought it enough to express my enjoyment for this little show. G-Wrench's grandpa Bolt seems distant to G-Wrench but he does care about her and it gets explained indirectly why he discourages her to make it to the Fight League.
Bolttechs member Cleanette gets an episode which is good but really didn't change my opinion on her. You can tell what her character is about just from her name and weapon.
Her other teammate Mattie is completely worthless. Her gear is a hover board and she didn't do anything so far that is worth mentioning.
Kara I kinda like because her opinion clashes with the morality or goals of her teammates like when the considers using herself as a bait for the enemy but G-Wrench refusing that idea because it goes against her idea to win as a team and protecting her allies. Her fellow teammate and twin sister Wily has the most agency in battles and seems to be the smartest. Not smart in a way she can analyse weaknesses of opponents, but every time she says something, it is the thing that makes the most sense.

The opponents so far don't stand out much with few exceptions since most of them are character archetypes and didn't get much time for use to see them as characters. Q.E.D. Professor Pi (Somebody really loves math) is probably my favourite. She is always prepared before entering the battle but her curiosity seems to be her weakness. Her weapon isn't designed for long range, but he also means to power up her teammates. There are other things I can't mention without spoiling.
Piers seems to have some connection to G-Wrench but that doesn't get explored. In the intro she looks badass but like G-Wrench she is really goofy outside of matches. She is also really carefree which sometimes clashes with her fellow Q.E.D teammate Snips who assist Prof. Pi outside of battles as well. They have 2 other teammates which didn't get much explore yet.
There is not much I can say about the antagonists or the other team mates.

There are stuffs that are a bit confusing like what art chains are since we don't see it much and it didn't get explained in the story. At least it wasn't infodumbed which is a plus I guess. Also I don't know what triggers Style Change.

So would I suggest to watch this anime? Well, if you like the video game, I don't know if I recommend since I don't know how it represents the source material. I honestly think its average of a regular anime but good for a promotional anime. The CGI and 8 minutes worth of runtime may be a turn off, but it is really entertaining. I didn't find many characters I dislike. I count 1 of team Bolttech. But if you want to watch a new anime but don't want to waste too much of your time with, I say give it a try.
