Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan

This anime is about little pinguin visiting Kyoto and its sightseeings. Although it only looked cute at the first glance, there are episodes when you can actually learn something about Kyouto, or Kyoto history. Besides shrines and ponds also statues, gods or typical Kyoto food is introduced in a interesting, but simply way, so everyone can enjoy it.
The art is great, very pleasurable to the eyes and Chitose-chan is exactly the type of pet you wished to see on your own eyes :) Despite the stories being simple, the overall enjoyment is high mainly due to cuteness of main heroine. Give it a try!

If this isn't the cutest thing I've ever seen, idk what is, honestly. Straight up masterpiece! Legit was crying inside when I reached the end of this; wish it could've gone on forever (season 2 someday pls!?) ;~;

Seriously though, really adorable and enjoyable series. It's about a Penguin called Chitose who goes to live in Kyoto and goes on lots of cute adventures. That's all you need to know. Watch it, you won't regret it!

Chitose-chan is quite possibly one of the cutest and most enduring animated animals I have had the pleasure joining in it's adventures. While I am going to go a bit into detail about what I thought was okay and what I really enjoyed, I will say now that this is a definite watch (especially for a short anime series) and would watch another season if produced.

The story is literally the synopsis and while it doesn't get the chance to expand as much as I would like into it, does deliver at least one interesting new fact about Kyoto or a heartwarming moment with Chitose-chan.

Speaking of, ... Chitose-chan is incredibly expressive and the right amount of cuteness that you would protect with your life. Most of the other characters (like humans she meets) and backgrounds match the show's overall aesthetic and while not as cute compared to Chitose-chan, do leave an overall soothing impression that heals the mind after a long day.

The music is enjoyable to listen to (especially the theme song for the first half of the series) and helps bring everything together. A big shout-out in particular to the narrator and Chitose-chan who nail their roles perfectly in terms of voice-acting.

If your in need of a sweet series with a lovable animal, please give your love to Chitose-chan and they will not disappoint.

A very cute quick watch for anyone who likes penguins or cute anime. I think it would be a good show for a younger child or a family to watch together. There’s not really any big overarching plot, but the plot of each episode is nicely done, especially for the time frame it’s in. My biggest quip is that they reuse the same voice actor for at least 6 different characters, but for a production this small it’s understandable. I think more episodes would’ve been nice as well, especially with the episodes being less than three minutes each.
