"There is no easy way from the earth to the stars,
Fire is fed by the wind and extinguished by the wind,
Grant us peace."

Okay, now I will admit one thing here. I have been itching (that's right, itching), to review this series from around episode 6. There's very few shows that have that effect on me, and almost every one is a special case. This one is no different, not because the show is actually good, or because it's well animated, or even because it has a good soundtrack. I've been wanting to review this show because of the things that inspired it's creation, and by ...

Story:7/10
THEME. The themes of this story was indeed not something to be awed for bewildering unexpectedness; The themes are not very new and are often discussed in many literature. Some of these literature are dated as far as back as the Egyptian and Babylonian times. Not telling what the themes are~~
CHARACTER'S MOTIVATION. Frankly, the motivation of the characters in Tears to Tiara was a cliche. I'll give you a hint, "mamoru" is a big key here and for otakus, this key word "mamoru" is very redundant because it's used in many of the animations currently distributed today to provide characters a motivation.
CONFLICT. I like ...

This seriously needs more reviews!!!
Awesomely awesome show, had me hooked from episode 1. It is a tad gory so beware, but other than that i loved it. One thing that bothered me though was that the characters, while amazingly drawn, etc, aren't extremely fleshed out, so they don't have a ton of personality. Rhianon comes off as a bit flat and helpless, and while she is married to Arawn (not a spoiler, it's in ep 1), not much is said about their union.
Seriously though, great show, i love the mythological and arthurian ideas thrown in, as well as the background music and themes. Enjoy!

Preliminary (15/26 eps)
This was a ver excellent conversion from a game to an anime not many can make this trasition well Tears to Tiara is one of the few to make it. The Original Japanese Audio and English Dub are excellent. The Series feels like it is out of lord of the Rings. Baseson has made another big sucess. I have never played this game but this series is incredible their is drama and action which keeps me interested in this series. If you like Lord of the Rings then I can guarente you will love this series

When I first started to watch Tears to Tiara it was really hard to keep watching because I thought it was a real slow-burner yet it turned out to be one of the best shows I've ever watched.

The main characters are all well-conceived and have a strong presence throughout the whole anime. You automatically come to love them.

Some old legends are mixed up in the plot (including the Arthurian Legend e.g.) and give the whole series a kinda familiar touch. The drawing style is very beautiful and so are the opening and ending. The choice of voice actors fits the anime really well, too.

You could ...

Shortly: I really recommend it. I watched it 3 times.

Okay, I admit. First time I watched It I found it a bit boring at first, but when I got into it, it was difficult to stop. So don't give up so easily (especially not after the 2nd episode, which can make one maybe drop the anime).
In the end, the anime is filled with action, moral questions, humor and more. So, not just useless fights or philosophy.
The characters all differ from one another (and some of them are a bit strange, but that's not so unusual for animes). It adds a lot as if all ...

A series that has been lost in the sea of Anime shows over time, this review should bring back up to the surface for a brief time so let's get started.

The Story involves a tribal group that have become at odds with the current empire and than are brought into a plot to revive the legendary demon king rumored to bring destruction to all. that plan backfired and instead the demon king allies with the tribe as their new chief and plot to reestablish a long forgotten nation and bring down the current government to be rid of it's influence and corruption while facing a ...

Right up to about episode 19 the anime was very well paced and had a good build up in character growth and story. Then things kinda went who did who and what happened? It felt that there was a time skip and people and races we never met were there playing important roles and it left a lot of questions. This probably would not be a huge deal to those who played the game but for others coming into this anime with no foreknowledge probably got whiplash. By the end of the anime I was left with more questions and feeling very unsatisfied. Don't get ...

This was a very enjoyable show, it's hard to believe the tag that says its based on an eroge. I had some problems with the clothing designs of characters, but was able to get passed it. This anime also decided to use a lot of names familiar to Western audiences, mainly from Arthurian lore; this is something that happens in a lot of anime and tends to annoy me. I didn't like the way they portrayed the Elven race in this, but a solid plot and a few great characters were more than enough to overcome the flaws I saw.

This anime definitely ...
