I have to say that this anime takes some big swings in opposite directions emotionally. Overall I like it, but to break it up, I like the first third, hate the 2nd third, like the last third.

This is a unique take on the stranger in a strange land genre and worth a watch for anyone who enjoys that type of show. You may want to give up on it when you get to the middle, but if you push through, it will return to the enjoyable style of the first third.

One thing that did bother me was the change in personality and strength ...

I think I liked this show? I will explain my thoughts a bit, but there are slight spoilers so I'll put some spaces before I begin.

Mixed Feelings
This series can be summed up in one word: mediocore. From the very beginning you get the feeling that this won't be more than a 3 and a half star show at best, but it really falls apart. Almost every character fits neatly into the standard tropes and the show never tries to grow them in a different direction.

This is a school combat anime that gets more ecchi as the show goes on. Every man enjoys a little fan service, but it shouldn't take you out of the story. The story itself shows signs of becoming interesting, but it never becomes ...

This is one of my favorite shows, not just animes. The only problem I have with the show is that you need to pause constantly during your first viewing, because there is so much additional information subtitled in places other than the character dialogue location (so much worse to watch with a DvD player rather than a streaming site).

I couldn't give the story a 10 because it is episodic with no real overarching story, but every episode is funny. It is a show that I was hesistant about because the pictures displayed on the info page didn't strike me as great, but I ...

Log Horizon (Anime) add
This is an absolutely fantastic show. There have been a lot of stranger in a strange world anime where people are transported into a video game world, there have been several instant classics in this developing genre and Log Horizon ranks among the best.

I don't like the young children plot lines of the show, but then again I rarely do. There is a captivating season long plot and characters that actually develop unique personalities. The main character may be considered as an overpowered hero simply because of his intelligence and strategic thinking, he is not the greatest fighter.

The show hits a lot ...

It's a harem anime with a decent plot that gets lost along the way. There are enjoyable characters, even though many conform to typical tropes. If you like ecchi, you'll enjoy this.

The first half of the show is much better than the second. It seems like they ignored doing much for the overarching plot during the first half and then tried to force and rush everything in the second half. I debated even giving this 3 stars because of how much the plot falls apart and because of the weak weak ending, ultimately my enjoyment of the characters earned this the extra ...

Mixed Feelings
This is much weaker than the first season and has a different feel. I debated giving it less than 3 stars, but my enjoyment of the characters from the first season carried over and persuaded me to keep it at 3 stars. However, there were several enjoyable characters from the first season that don't appear or have very minimal roles. There are character relationship changes that are unexplained and a departure from Oriku's typical behavior. Maybe the creators tried to rush things, but too much is unxplained. The whole season feels more like a side story, rather than a continuation ...

This anime starts off fantastic, but I found the plot going in an uninteresting direction as it went on. The animation style is unique and a bit jarring at first, but you get used to it, and the style seems to fit well with the low key tones of the story and characters.

There are some fantastic characters in this and it is a shame that they aren't explored properly. The last few episodes feel rushed and the ending fairly unsatisfying to me. The show has a different feel than most anime and I really wish that it had stuck with the tone ...

Mixed Feelings
This is a pretty typical slice of life high school harem. If you enjoy that genre then this will be worth your time. The cross dressing butler is a unique thread, but not uncommon. This one was executed well, but with the weak ending that almost all harem anime have. There is also an unnecessary 13th episode which is more of a side story.

The show hits all the tropes: hot springs, maid cafe, fireworks, etc. You will be frustrated at times with the strict adherence to the usual harem formula, but the characters are good enough to keep you watching. ...

The show had an interesting premise to start, but fell apart by halfway through. It wasn't a normal harem at the beginning, but they kept forcing it to conform. The early episodes had some laugh out loud moments and painful awkwardness. So painful at times I almost stopped, but the few funny moments kept me going. I only completed the show because after I'm halfway through a series I feel obligated to finish.

I should mention that the show had a handicap for Western audiences as there a lot of jokes and puns that clearly don't translate well or make sense. ...
