Preliminary Spoiler

Pikotarou no Lullaby Lullaby is a cinematic masterpiece due to it's beautiful story. Of a man getting over his fears. As the story develops the main character slowly becomes more and more fearless. Till the last ep where he gotten over all his fears and able to rest, peacefully. The art rival that of any Kyoto Animation's films and anime. The ending song is beautifully made and it beats the evangelion ending, "Fly me to the moon". I really enjoy this anime, it captivated me the second I lay my eyes on the screen while this was playing. Overall this damn anime is a 20/10. ...

Preliminary (4/9 eps)
Pikotarou no Lullaby Lullaby is a series of shorts similar to that of Mr. Ando of the Woods or Salaryman Man.

The premise of which is different bedtime stories being told to Pikotarou of PenPinappleApplePen fame.

Each episode has the same opening and closing which takes up around half of the 3 minute runtime.

The art is simple and humorous and the animation is limited but what these Takashi Taniguchi animations lack in art they make up for in humor.

It has some hilarious comedic timing and while the episodes vary somewhat in quality they are great to binge with a few friends.

Preliminary (4/9 eps)
Each episode is about 3 minutes, including the very short opening and ending. First, let's start with the art : there's no animation whatsoever. It's just a still image, with the characters barely "shaking" when they have a line to say.
Sometimes, the camera zooms in on the character's face, but that's about it. Nothing really changes.

The narrator does all the voices. So Pikotarou does himself and either one or two other characters on screen. His range is limited. Even though we can leave this to humour.

Is it funny or enjoyable? To be honest I would not recommend it to anyone. It looks like each ...

Pikotaro's Lullabies are quintessential Takashi Taniguchi - wry, a little clumsy and rather silly (maybe even downright stupid).

Not to be taken seriously, these 3-minute shorts offer an alternative perspective to classic fables/folktales from around the world. Aside from the opening and closing, there is minimal/no music and - true to Taniguchi's style - all sound effects are depicted by voice. The characters are often awkward and have tenuous interactions with Pikotaro (Kosaka Kazuhito), and the art is what one might find in a picture story book or web comic.

Overall, these may be great for anyone who has a penchant for pineapple apple pens, thinks ...

Preliminary (8/9 eps)
Pikotarou no Lullaby Lullaby is, at its core, a VERY Japanese show. I don't think it should even be considered an anime. This would be one of those shows that'd be in the intermission of a TV series.
Basically, the anime is about bedtime stories, with their very own 'Pikotarou twist' to them. Some of these short stories are globally known, so they're more entertaining to watch. However, due to the cultural boundaries of Japan, many stories have Japanese folk tale based in them, so most people wouldn't get the references implemented into them. Personally, I knew all of the stories (so far at least) so ...

Preliminary (4/9 eps)
The word "anime" refers to Japanese animated media, and this shouldn't be considered an anime because it's not even animated.

There isn't much to say about this series: no plot, no animations (only still images with just a little bit of trembling when characters speak), extremely poor drawing with a very childish character design. Voice acting is nothing special because all the characters are dubbed by the same guy.

I understand it's meant to be focused on humor, but there is no humor since dialogues are pure nonsense and they're definitely not funny. I really can't consider it enjoyable by any means since there is ...
