I woke up to find I was in an old house deep in the snowy mountains. They said I was carried into there with my head being bruised. I think there’s two main stages in one’s life. The first is the stage before you see
‘A Time to Screw’ and the second is after you see it. I mean it when I say this is a life changing experience and one of the most mind bending pieces of media I’ve ever had the pleasure to witness. A Time to Screw is an absolute masterpiece. Pure kino from start to finish. Mix together bondage, food play, S&M, philosophical diatribes, three identical pretty boys and a bunch of horny maids and throw them together into a mansion with a magical clock and top it off ... with the best English dub I have ever heard in my entire life and you’ve got A Time to Screw, a tour de force of avant garde erotica

Starring Hentai dubbing legend Pete Meat as the three identical lead characters, the unbelievably complex and layered plot tells the story of Itsuya (i think), a power crazed sadist who forcefully takes over his brother (clone?)’s mansion and draws its maids into a world of perverse sexual deviancy. From there on out, it’s a total free for all. Forget rhyme or reason, forget coherency, forget basic common sense. It’s time to fuck. Witness a woman have a cue ball shot into her anus (“I think I’ll break” sneers Itsuya as he pots the ball). Observe two fine ladies coat their master in a variety of foods, vomit on him and then proceed to fuck his still, almost lifeless body. Gaze in awe as someone fucks a box. Sure, the atrocious animation and bizarre colouring errors that sometimes turn semen into rainbow coloured blobs and pussy juice into crude oil can be off putting but that simply adds to the challenging and creative style of this piece of unfiltered kino.

They say that we come for the porn and stay for the plot, and A Time to Screw is no exception. Within the first three minutes of this hour long magnum opus, we, the feeble audience are thrown in media res into a philosophical debate between the maids as they attempt to proclaim who was the greater mind in the field of theoretical physics. Albert Einstein or Robert Oppenheimer. “Einstein was a faggot” claims one of the fine ladies as she shaves her vagina. By the end of this powerful scene, we’re only left asking more questions and A Time to Screw refuses to go at your pace, instead barrelling along with no regard for outsiders or the intellectually feeble. Like all great art, it answers to no one but itself. However, the genius does not stop here as we are treated to other equally brilliant and thought provoking scenes throughout the picture. “Nothing is none fat” proclaims Itsuya in a flashback “Thats why the world is going to explode one day”. I rest my case.

A Time to Screw isn’t your common hentai. While you were jerking off your dicks and pussies, I was jerking off my brain watching this. Highly recommended for anyone with an IQ over 250 and people who like fisting.

"Tokineiro," or "A Time To Screw," looks like your run of the mill subpar 2000's era hentai; mediocre character design, mediocre characterisation, maybe it's got a few decently hot parts you can loop repeatedly and get your rocks off to if you have a thing for literal nostalgia boners. Who knows. I don't know.

Except I do know. My third eye is all the way open. My chakras are aligned as fuck. And with my eyes and several other orifices spread wide I can safely and solidly tell you there's more than meets the eye (all three of them) here.

Tokineiro, specifically the dub of Tokineiro, is ... a subversive masterpiece.

The story is rich and deeply, complexly psychological, packing plot point after plot point into its total hour of runtime. Said plot includes but is absolutely not limited to: box fucking, breakfast, three whole white haired sciencey looking fellas, homophobic slurs directed specifically towards Albert Einstein, dissociative identity disorder, flashbacks, motor oil, and so much more. It's on the level of shit like Evangelion, I'm telling you. Like, if Serial Experiments Lain mindfucks you, Tokineiro fucks, breeds, and utterly desanctifies your mind's gaping boyhole in a doubly schizophrenic fashion. Tokineiro is your daddy dom. Tokineiro is your soft, gentle lover. Tokineiro is a joint delusion we all share. Tokineiro is kafkaesque. Tokineiro is God.

I've taken the time to draw fan art for this series, being an artist of a semi-professional skill level who has decidedly better things to do (I still owe my local femboy a commission- that's not a joke.) I made my fiancé watch it, I intend to make several of my best friends watch it, I'd show it to my parents if I had any relationship with them after the last time I did peyoturacaine (peyote + datura + cocaine, for the unacquainted) and tried to get them to watch Japanese media. I've never even written any anime reviews before. But the will of God has forced my hand here. I'm so deeply invested, filled with a legitimate fucking passion for this hentai. It's captivating in the same way a car accident is.

If you're contemplating watching it, I can do nothing if not urge you. Please. It's an hour out of your time and you will guaranteed emerge from it a more enlightened individual. Do yourself a favour and watch the dub of Tokineiro.

Your life will be changed.

Yes. Yes he is. His name is Pete Meat, and he dubs hentai.

After running a train on the world of laughter with "Sextra Credit", Media Blasters saw fit to buy up several more disgustingly misogynistic, filthy hentai and turn them into uproarious black comedies; among them was 2004's "Time to Screw". Headed up once again by the awesome Pete Meat and a bunch of voice actresses who couldn't give any less of a shit, Media Blasters prepared their second assault on the world... and ... stuck their pinky in its collective asshole. (yes, the pinky line does make an appearance in Time to Screw too!)

Once again, the dub itself is the only reason to ever watch a disgusting show like this- because, like Sextra before it, the Japanese audio version is played straight and is a depraved, misogynistic power fantasy. The art is crap, and they have no value as any kind of... personal aid... but as a comedy, it's "Time to Score"- and only 10s in the scriptwriting and delivery department. Pete Meat is the single greatest hentai dub voice actor, ever. He hams it up, sounds totally disinterested, and then switches up and even sometimes comes off like he's disgusted with himself at having to read these lines! It's all for a ridiculous comedic effect though- and I laughed out loud more times at the creatively nasty humor than the Cleveland Browns create ways to lose games.

With lines like:

"Have you ever tried to fuck a box?"
"are you pregnant?" "why, do I look fat? I'll start a diet tonight!"
Which then led to the first quote
and "Can you imagine how many faith healers would be out of work if they knew about the powers of kinky sex?" - in direct quotation to an old woman miraculously being able to walk again after having sex with a maid.

I needed to change my pants. Twice.

This goes on and on for an hour- an hour of filthy sex acts involving a vacuum cleaner, a 3 course meal, a billiards set, a washing machine, and a wheelchair. You do the math. It's got bondage. It's got rough sex. It's got maid fetish. It's got FOOD fetish ffs! The maid girls in the sex mansion cover Pete Meat in all manner of food they cooked- steak, salad, pudding, casserole, everything- then proceed to vomit all over him (using it as lube) and then have sex with him. By the end of it, he looks like Pizza the Hutt, and I couldn't tell if I was tripping or just laying on the floor clutching my sides watching a hentai dub. If you can't find something to tickle your funny bone, you just have no sense of humor.

All told, "Time to Screw" is inferior to its stablemate "Sextra Credit", with its poor attempt at a mystery/mind bending plot vs Sextra's straightforward revenge plot, but it succeeds in all the same levels of quotability, hilarity, and sheer ludicrousness. But since I'm scoring this on the hentai scale (maximum being a 4, because they're all complete crap anyway), a 3 and my shining recommendation of the dub make this another can't-miss, 2sexual, black comedy romp that's worth the price of admission: your sides.

"And then there was the matter of time; Einstein and Oppenheimer, the theory of relativity, and the conundrum of big balls in your face. It was all a continuum, like one long winding turd, snaking its way through the universe. And, like a turd, the smell was not to be forgotten."
