Two BL games that have been adapted to TV with the BL entirely omitted. Both have poor animation, poor production, and are an overall boring experience! Play the games! They are 10x better!

Both are based around notable video game series as well as lot of trippy shit happening from time to time as well.

Both involve some kind of a game world, though logging on to the game differs a bit: In Sword Art Online, a more realistic way using "Nerve Gear" whereas in DRAMAtical Murder, it's more of a fantasy way like while standing in the street or just about anywhere. Both have hot guys: SAO -> Kirito DMMd -> Aoba Both are for fans of the game genre.

You wanna see a bunch of boys being gay, but not in a sexual way? You wanna see a bunch of intense boy-on-boy scenes that gets EXTREMELY homosexual but nothing good comes out of it? Do you want to watch something that's actually good after watching this god-awful adaptation of a BL visual novel? Then watch Free!, because it's a hell of a lot better than this garbage that was SUPPOSED to be a bunch of dudes being gay but didn't deliver. Also, the animation/plot/music/characters, well, everything is so much better in Free!.

There is a similar feel with the teams/gangs and a computer-type object aiding the characters. DRAMAtical Murder with the AI computers: AllMates; and Air Gear with the computerized roller blades: Air Treck (AT's.) There is also the competition/game-type themes involved in each.

-Both BL/BL-esque while not being the main focus -Both about a society that is not what it seems -Both have semi-political messaging.

In my opinion, DRAMAtical Murder and Danganronpa are both very well-written and amazingly done adaptations. I was very impressed by all the effects and really brought both to life. Both are full of action, drama, confusion, and allot of emotional rides. I personally enjoy that kind of feeling. I highly recommend you at least give one episode a try. Don't worry, everything with make sense soon enough.

- Both characters have some sort of important power, and they don't know about it. - In both animes there are like street groups like clans, like for example "HOMRA" in K-project and "Dry Juice" in Dramatical Murder. - Both are set in a futuristic world. - "Neko" is K, reminds me all those "AllMates", like Ren. - The characters are colorful, and you can associate a color with each one of them. - In both animes there are fights or battles between different clans, groups or characters.

They both have gang issues that are important in the story. The protagonists pertain at different gangs that compete with each other with the difference that Durarara!! has only one kind of gang while DRAMAtical Murder has Rhyme and Rib. In both shows the gang leaders are males and people who knows each other closely.
