Mixed Feelings
This special is not based on the novel series Gundam Wing Frozen Teardrop so the animators took a different approach than what others did on the other Gundam stuff. Instead of animating the whole story, they had stills of scenes with the dialogue over it. Its an interesting choice, but something i wouldn't have done. i would have preferred to see this animated completely

the art itself was pretty good. the scenery was one of the strongest points

the sound was by far my favorite. its the strongest asset the special has considering that it relies so much on it because the scenes arent animated ...

Mixed Feelings
This took a very interesting take to show some of the events of Frozen Teardrop. It is stills with sound and dialogue recorded over them with some minimal animation thrown in. I actually enjoyed the way it was presented even though at times it was sort of hard to follow. The original cast even returns for their voice overs

Part of me wants to believe that this was an attempt at testing the waters for a full length anime series. However, for one reason or another, unfortunately didn't pan out and thus they bundled it with the Gundam Wing Blu-rays for those who wanted ...
