A continuation of my previous stack, "Anime Based on Significantly Older Manga", exclusively including remakes. The manga must have been at least 15 years old when the anime released. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and remake.

List is incomplete. If I am missing any big ones, let me know. Thanks to everyone who has helped me add to this list.

Animax Latin America was the affiliate for that region of the youth channel of Sony Entertainment Television. The signal for Latin America was launched on July 31, 2005, replacing the adult animation channel Locomotion. Like the other subsidiaries around the world where it is available, it broadcast anime series, and since May 2008 it began with the broadcast of live action series and movies distributed by Sony Pictures.

On May 3, 2010, the channel is renewed by premiering a new logo and graphics. Since May 1, 2011, it was renamed Sony Spin, disappearing as a television channel.

Personally, a channel that brings back beautiful memories of my childhood and that, several series broadcast by Animax, give me a nostalgic feeling for an anime that currently no longer exists.

This stack will feature anime with broad ecological and environmentalist themes.

For an anime to be considered environmentalist, it must primarily communicate a message regarding the condition of nature; moreover, it should portray nature as suffering, whether from pollution, deforestation, ecosystem collapse, or similar crises, in a manner that resonates with the Japanese environmentalist movement.

Feel free to recommend another anime I might miss.
Let's start with anime that is not in the database.

From Seitarou Kitayama lost anime: Physiology and Ecology of Plants (Shokubutsu seiri seitai no maki) 1922
source: Promiscuous Media_Film and Visual Culture in Imperial Japan, 1926-1945; pp.160

*Note: For this interest stack, The Anime Encyclopedia has been extensively used.
*Also, gratitude to anime-planet.com for their environmental tag. Without it, a considerable number of anime would be included here.
*Most of the descriptions were co-written using LLM technology, specifically Microsoft Bing Copilot, with the generative prompt: "Hi, can you write me a short synopsis about an anime named ..... with environmentalism themes?"

Update: On 18.8.2024, after watching the third part of the @WooKong1 anime history documentary, I added a few anime titles that were discussed in its ecological section. Overall, I highly recommend the video. A not fully animated movie mention in the video Godzilla vs Hedorah (1971)

This Interest Stack is directly inspired by Digibro's "250 Anime Recommendations". Everything listed here is directly taken from the original video.

------
The reason to create this stack was to not make anyone sit through a 6-Hour long video. (Note that the original video is over 7 years old so some Ratings and Episode and Season count may be outdated).

------
This is only Part 1 of the 250 Anime recommendations list (Separated in parts because of MAL's 50 entries per list limit).

------
In the words of Digibro herself: "I'm also going to state how much i recommend these show's, So the minimum will be a light recommendation meaning something that i dont necessarily think is amazing but its worth checking out if you're bored, Not all of these are gonna be like 10/10 classics. Some of these are gonna be like OK shows that are just worth checking out. Maybe you'll like it more than i did."

------
* = Light recommendation
** = Medium recommendation
*** = Strong recommendation
**** = MUST-WATCH

------
Here are how these anime are categorized (In Order)

DRAMA : Aoi Bungaku Series - Simoun

COMEDY : Arakawa Under the Bridge - Cromartie High School

SUSPENSE : Gankutsuou - Young Black Jack

TEEN MELODRAMA : Air - Clannad (Continued in Part 2)

Explanation of each major Black Jack entry, recommendations, where to start etc! There is no real watch order so start where you wish!

This is by no means a comprehensive list of all of Black Jack's anime appearances, but rather what I consider to be his most major ones. Take everything with a grain of salt as this features a lot of my own opinions/taste.

Enjoy! <3

Osamu Tezuka was a Japanese manga artist, cartoonist, animator, and film producer. His prolific output, pioneering techniques, and innovative redefinitions of genres earned him such titles as "the father of manga," "the godfather of manga" and "the god of manga." Additionally, he is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during Tezuka's formative years.

Tezuka began what was known as the manga revolution in Japan with his New Treasure Island published in 1947. His legendary output would spawn some of the most influential, successful, and well-received manga series including Tetsuwan Atom, Jungle Taitei, Black Jack, and Hi no Tori, all of which won several awards.

This list includes Must Watch Anime Adaptations of God of Manga Osamu Tezuka's Works

Having grown up with anime, I was fortunate enough to discover a few shounen anime that are not popular or often talked about. If you are interested in anime like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z, you will love them, so please try them out.

P.S.: This list also caters to new shounen anime like Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen.

P.S. to the P.S.: Some of these are a bit childish, nonetheless entertaining.
