Interest StacksFrom 1977 to 1985, Sanrio produced movies through their Sanrio Films label. After A Journey Through Fairyland, Sanrio switched gears and started doing short films, OVAs, and TV shows based on their characters. In 2006, Sanrio announced they are again going to do feature-length films. Every cinema or direct to video anime film that came out between 1970 and 1979. The following list is more assumption than actual knowledge, since I don't have access to the books, etc. Anime series that covers all of the original source they're based on, with some notes. good or bad, I'm always down for a short animated film... Fictional European countries and Anime that don't specify being set in Europe but take heavy inspiration in environment and setting. A list of anime that are adaptions of children's books (all around the globe). Recommended for reasons of nostalgia and as Iyashikei-anime before Iyashikei was a thing. A list consisting of anime that convey a sense or feeling of what childhood is or could be. It's supposed to be somewhat of a childhood/nostalgia archive in it's entirety.
