Isshuukan Friends.

(My english is HORRIBLE, so I'm really sorry if reading my review will give you a cancer. Really.)

Maybe as so much people, I watched Isshuukan Friends because everybody said that's a really really REALLY good anime. But... NONONONONONONONONONONONONONO, no, please, NO.

I wasted my time and I hope you'll not make the same mistake.

The chara-design is HORRIBLE (all in this anime is horrible, in fact) and I think I don't need to explain why : the faces are the same and not really developed (any details), the mouth is small, the nose... Jesus, but just : where's the nose? e-e

About the story itself, I don't know ... what to say because there's NOT story. You can watch the first episode and just after, watch the last without screaming to spoil yourself. It's literally boring.

In fact, the 80 % from the anime is around (is it right to say that?) a romance, but the romance... No. I can't. It's too simple-minded (I'm not sure it's the good word, sry) : the characters are about 17yo and they worry about who much grams of sugar they need to get in their omelets. Seriously? And OF COURSE, the relationship doesn't progress.


So I can't understand why so much peoples seems loooove this anime (ah and if you asked yourself if the end is at least sad, etc., no. I'm girl and I'm on periods and I don't feel any sadness. Don't waste your time.)

Crappy ending and a huge disappointment. The story truly begins to develop at episode 12 and then it just randomly stops.

Just finished watching One week Friend... This Anime is so disappointing, the main characters is so doll and annoying, except for the supporting cast but even them couldn't save the show from extinction...
The Animation and the background music is so doll that i prefer to sleep than to watch this anime..

PS: Just watch 50 first dates instead starring Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore..
They've Similar Concept 'cause One Week Friend is unwatchable and it failed so hard to become a better anime

It isnt often I look at an anime at 12 episodes long and think that it could have been edited better.

One week friends tells the story of a girl who loses certain memories weekly. Every monday, part of memory resets itself. The nature of memories which are erased are oddly specific to any friends she makes. So if you have seen "50 first dates" the movie, you would know what you are getting into. The first few episodes follow a pattern which each episode spanning a week. Things progress at a snail's pace as we go through the same motions again and again. "I ... see, he is eating egg sandwitch. Sooo good"

This normally wouldn't be a problem if the characters were any fun. Sadly the two main characters Yuuki and Kaori together have the charm of a wet broom. Yuuki is your typical shoujo mangina "Yes! Man" who exists just to make Kaori happy.Kaori, well she resets every episode so its kinda hard to really understand her. She likes Yuuki. Ok, what else. She likes friends. Ok, then what? She like crepes. Hmm.. intersting titbit, what next? Hmm.. yea we are out of things to write, lets just reset and repeat.

The side characters are also bland and boring. We have a mentally challenged girl called Saki bore up the thing in the name of comic relief. Kujou Hajime had one job and that is to drive the series to a conclusion and add some drama and he fails so spectacularly that its not even funny. The only saving grace is Houtarou Oreki- I mean Shougo Kiryuu a guy who is as bored at the proceedings as we the viewers are that you can almost call the anime out for being unintentionally self-aware.

Oh and the best part, the ending. It ends the way it begins. Another week has passed and Kaori's memories has reset again coz the writers cannot be bothered to write more. No conclusion, no closure and no progress of any sort.

4/10 coz the music is not bad.
