Both got some insane bounty hunters. Enough said :)

The show contains an unstoppable female main, who is cold-blooded and would murder anyone put in front of them. Which show am I talking about? Well... prepare for a road stained with blood.

Each serie have this mafia/yakuza climate. They are packed with gun battles, as well as more emotional, sad scenes. Requiem for Phantom focuses on main characters and their decisions, while Black Lagoon is more about criminal world in general.

Both have gore and graphic violence and cool fighting women in the lead cast. Both have mafia and criminals. Black Lagoon is however more episodic and lacks an overall plot, and Baccano has a very tight, complex plot. Both series are relatively short, with Baccano having 13 episodes (16 counting the specials) and Black Lagoon 2nd season having 12 episodes (the first season has the same amount)

The main characters are anti-heroes. They both protect what they love.

- Both shows are produced by Madhouse. - Both have an episodic nature. - Both have badass main characters who work as guns for hire. - Both have a lot of crazy action and gunslingers. - Similar vibe. The main different between the two is that Black Lagoon is realistic, while DMC has supernatural elements.

Both animes deal with inherently dark plot and have similar feels. Though the general contents of the animes are quite different the mature content and smart combat focus is present in both.

This show has a great story with some amazing characters and it has some great action scenes on top of that. the anime has the most amazing female characters i have seen, second to Revy of course. I would full-heartedly recommend this anime if liked Black Lagoon. (if u didnt like black lagoon why are u reading this?)

Hellsing Ultimate and Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage are both over the top and very violent seinen anime. Both anime, more so Hellsing than Black Lagoon, don’t hold back on the violence, and are pretty dark. Both were animated by Madhouse as well, and have a similar art style. Watch S1 of Black Lagoon first, and this recommendation also applies to Roberta’s Blood Trail.

Both have a dark plotline of children who are killers. Both are also very good.

As intense as the first season

I would say all Black Lagoon TV series are the best equivalent to Michiko to Harchin.

Both series involve, in their background story, an extremely strong, tragic, and intimate bond between two twins who are as pretty as they are lethal (Hansel & Gretel / Yu Lan & Yu Fan). Not only both of these are, as their titles say, 2nd seasons of two fantastic series, but they also have great animation, lots of action, a fair amount of violence, some drama, psychotic characters, and two of the most badass women ever seen (Revy & Melissa, yes indeed). If you liked FMP but want something darker, check Black Lagoon out; if you're a Black Lagoon fan but also enjoy mecha series, try FMP.

Both are sequels/continuation of their respective previous seasons, both with the emphasis of macro-military warfare and power struggles between factions and countries.

These series are both same kind of animes in many ways. There are gunfights, good action and blood is flying around. Also there are some sexy girls in these animes too who fights with guns. Speed Grapher has also supernatural powers included.

Both anime is about strong, clever and experienced women, felt in love with common japanese employee.

It has the feel of Yu Yu Hakusho in regards to it witty humor, fun characters, and jaw dropping action. Not to mention a very well written and casted english dub. Be warned, this is a very graphic anime.

Think dark but with no jokes and an appeal to your sense of justice and detective action. Black Lagoon on the other hand is dark but with comedy and military action.

They are both about for hire mercenaries, that use guns as their main weapons. And meeting different mercenaries and assassins while doing jobs, sometimes going against them.

Both have great fight scenes, are remakes and continuations of stories, and have awesome main characters.
