In the new millennium you often hear the bad side of life, talk of wars or rumors of wars. You possibly chat with a friend about natural disasters or an upcoming zombie apocalypse.

Never hoping the world comes to an end and that the religious nuts are wrong is wishful thinking. Personally I'd find a field of barley wheat and a good book on brewing then call it fair.

"Humanity Has Declined" threw me for numerous loops and I was pretty surprised with how good this turned out. I often find myself picking out titles that I am utterly disgusted with but this one was a good ...

Yo back with me who will review this anime.
first of all why am i giving it a 10 over all? just think about it after i write this.

- This story is really weird but amazing, what's weird about it? The first weird thing about the story or the plot, I think the episode is reversed or this is on purpose but after looking back this is true, both stories are weird in many other mystery story references, this is amazingly weird (did not mean to insult or demean other stories), what I mean first is the fairy, here the fairy exists like the author or ...

So after long last, finally I’ve decided to do another review, and that for a series that truly deserves more spotlight. Let’s not waste any time and begin.

TLDR: don’t watch this for a complex story but for the wacky fun adventure you and the characters will find yourselves in and you’re gonna have a great time with this, highly recommended, this is a hidden gem.

STORY(8/10):

If you are looking for a complex story with tons of worldbuilding and depth and whatnots, then you can immediately turn around and avoid this. But if you are looking for a wacky fun adventure in a fantasy land with a ...

==========
Story
==========

An anthropomorphic loaf of bread explodes in a shower of blood red carrot juice. What did I just see? The first episode closes out with that with that exact image. It’s startling, disgusting and intriguing all at the same time. I was left with a feeling of shock and awe that something that cute was left in such a gruesome heap.

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita left a lasting impression with all the shenanigans it pulls. From being sucked into a manga where the popularity of the book was the key to survival to sentient space satellites that came to Earth to escape their fates, the tales ...

Watch out for the fairies. Otherwise you can be tricked in to liking the Jinrui wa Suitai Shimasita series.

Bizzare, scattered, peculiar. The storytelling of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimasita, also known as "Humanity has declined", is similar to popular series like Baccano and Suzumiya Haruhi. The plot was hard to follow as it was told in a very random, non-linear manner, and I am not quite sure what the director was aiming for. For this reason I would recommend to watch episodes in the following order: 10, 7, 8, 3, 4, 9, 5, 6, 1, 2, 11 and 12. By this the ...

Preliminary (7/12 eps)
-This review is mainly based on episode 1-

After watching the first episode, I knew that it would be my favorite anime for the season. It is a dark comedy which constantly creates satirical comments on society, and often exaggerations (to the point of it being surreal even in a fantasy world) are made to create more impact. Clever points are presented in stupid or cute ways, in which sometimes people can just fall in love with.

First we get the view of the world. No machinery, everything is green, and you don’t get the feeling of “Declining humanity” (in which image might be created by rubbles ...

Ive only seen 2 episodes and it BLEW MY MIND!

The story is intriguing and entertaining with some dark spots on there, being the decline in humanity being the MAJOR dark spot there. The art is amazing as well and it inspires me myself as an artist in training to try harder in getting my art just as beautiful and fun like the art used in this anime, not to mention he cuteness of it makes the new viewer go in awe from the characters who are actually dark and brooding. The characters themselves pull you into the story as well because of their actions and ...

From the first episode alone there has spawned youtube videos with thousands of views and from that video people think, "this is so weird, I’m not going to watch that". Or the exact opposite, they only watch it because it's weird. Unfortunately they've missed out on a chance to watch an amazing anime. Humanity Has Declined is much more than weird, it's dark, funny, witty, clever, creative, and different. There are many things that set this anime apart from others and most notably is the art style. I'm not one to dote on the art style of an anime, but, it definitely caught my eye. ...

This story got me hooked after the first 5 minutes of the first episode, I got no problem with the art or sound and I find the characters very enjoyable, almost as if I bonded with them at first glance. The humor is something extra, It helps balance the mood of the story and personally I love the humor.

I enjoyed this show very much. It shares a great deal in common with one of the most underrated shows I am aware of: Hikari to Mizu no Daphne. Even if you don't see it for the brilliant piece of satire that it is, it is very possible to enjoy it on a purely entertaining level.
I'm not going to ruin it for you by telling you all the things I noticed that make it so amazing, but I will say this:

When I had just finished watching it I thought it was very nice and I rated it. I was ...

If there’s one thing you must know about this show, it is that it’s certainly not a typical run of the mill anime. Set in a post-apocalyptic time, Humanity Has Declined tells the story of an unnamed pink-haired girl who serves as a mediator between humans and fairies, which are the new humanity of the world. Why the humans are exactly in decline is never explicitly stated, but the viewers are occasionally reminded of the fact. The story is part sci-fi and part comedy on the lines of dark humor, a combination which somehow works together well.

The story, which progresses primarily in two episode ...

In a word, I think I'd call this show "weird."

It's definitely a comedy, and definitely, while on the surface light actually is pretty dark.

Each "arc" of the show is more or less totally separate from each of the other ones, though I think a pretty good job was done with jumping around the different arcs (iirc, the light novels were not written in the order that the anime was).

Personally, I find the theme of the show to be exactly what the title implies it to be -- the decline of humanity. In general, each arc will begin with an episode that takes a look at ...

Preliminary (Unknown/12 eps)
A parable of modern society wrapped up in loveable characters, demented storytelling, pleasant pastel colours and fairies with a permanent grin plastered on their faces.

Mankind has declined and magical fairies have taken over the planet. Interesting, right?

- How did mankind decline?
- What happened to society, economy, etc?
- Where did the fairies come from?
- What's the source of their magic?

If you're looking for answers to the above questions, be prepared, you'll not going to get them.
This anime raises several questions with each episode, yet answers absolutely none of them. Despite this, it's a lot of fun.

Sound: 10

The soundtrack was really good, and it fit really well with the anime. The ending song was specially good, and the studio managed to make it part of the story at times.

Story: 8

The chapters are not in chronological order, and I think this worked in favor of the anime. The only problem was that a few chapters were really dragged out just to make a pun at the end.

Art: 10

I started watching anime thanks to stories with really abstract humour - you know, the type where you are not sure if what you're watching is so sophisticated that your stupid brain can't process it, or just really unfunny. Either way, more often than not these jokes tend to fly over my head.

And Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita ("Mankind Has Declined" - probably due to watching shitty Chinese cartoons, amrite? Anyone?) is this type of show ...to some degree. Post-apocalyptic world that's as far from popular visions as it's possible, populated both by mankind, that's not really suffering and new dominant race - fairies. And it's ...

May contain spoilers.
The show is very well written, although the time splits for the later episodes may be confusing. Something about a majority of humans wiped out in some catastrophic event and fairies became the new humans. The plot isn't really there as it's almost like a SOL with the MC recalling specific events. However, each event is pretty well written and never fails to entertain. The satirical humour is really well done and surprisingly dark, especially with the fairies always smiling.

Its art is pretty fitting. A colourful show that seemed light-hearted upon the first look, but gets dark suddenly, and helped with sarcastic remarks.

Its ...

If you haven't watch this Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita you are missing out on the one of the weird, random but funny anime of your life. At first i thought it will be extremely boring anime in the whole wide world but don't just judge the book by it's cover i had a good laugh.

Story : 7 points because it makes me want to keep on watch and wanna find out what happens next.

Art: ummm 8 points because i like the faries and it's not a really bad art too.

Sound: 8 points why? because it matchs with the characters.

Charatcers: 8 points because i ...

_Wibbly Wobbly - Timey Wimey_

The structure of this anime is really cool in how non-chronological it is.
They set up tons of mysterious situations, with little cute but mischievous gnomes, robots, silent sidekicks, duplicates, dystopias, and the structure accentuates those mysteries.

Every episode could be set at any time, at any place, at any point in a story that hasn't started yet. That makes it really cool.

On the other hand a few episodes felt a little hit or miss, and also some of the mysteries start to fall apart into just complete lunacy, which is funny but not always equally satisfying. It's got a great deadpan sense ...

So, if you're looking for a brand new anime with an interesting plot and story line, this is the one you need to watch! Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, or Humanity has declined, is an anime about humanity taking a decline. There is a new kind of humanity on the rise of a species known as the Fairies. These little human like creatures aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, however if given the right motivation, they can build great empires and cities. The story is about a girl by the name of Watashi, and her adventure as a mediator, taking care of the fairies.

I particularly ...
