Criminally underrated!! If you're into parody and mahou shoujo, this is exactly the kind of thing you're looking for. It's one of those series that "doesn't care" in a good way, stuff happens because it's funny or entertaining and it doesn't waste your time with explaining how or why. I found myself laughing start to finish, and on top of that, I also found myself invested in the characters, which are pretty much all great. The finale of the series is nothing to be disappointed in either, it escalates rapidly into a satisfying spectacle of humor and emotions. I can't begin to guess why nobody ...

Recent years have had a rash of dark, subversive "magical girl" series. This has made me go back and appreciate shows like this that play the genre straight and have some fun!

The dark, gritty shows are really just the same old stories of teens with "special powers" they would have normally written. They just make the cast girls, put them in dresses and call them "magical girls" while making limp-wristed inclusions of the actual tropes of the genre.

I really, I mean REALLY love Magi Puella Madoka Magica. All of these "me too!" copy cats that have followed after it just make me ...

I kinda wish I knew what I was getting into before I started watching, That way I could avoid the unoriginal mess that is Twin Angels Twinkle Paradise.

STORY:

Twin Angels: Twinkle Paradise is both a magical girl and a kids show, so because of the territory each episode is structured to be it's own mini story. (over the coarse of 12) Each episode's plot usually ends up involving some evil trying to steal one of the seven amulets (magical artifacts) and the twin angels going in and stopping them. Fairly simple stuff here, but each episode is so simple in fact it fallows ...

Twin Angel is a parody of the classic mahou shoujo formula and nothing more. Such shows usually make fun of their own stereotypes anyway, so at best you will see this as an ecchier version of Sailor Moon. It is hardly as captivating though since it isn’t trying much to accomplish anything other than a few chuckles or boners out of the audience.

As any veteran viewer already knows, J.C. Staff is a studio that thrives on 2D paedophiles and this is just another one of the dozens of shows that proves it. And as any casual viewer will admit, they rarely pour much thought in ...
