I kinda wish I knew what I was getting into before I started watching, That way I could avoid the unoriginal mess that is Twin Angels Twinkle Paradise.

STORY:

Twin Angels: Twinkle Paradise is both a magical girl and a kids show, so because of the territory each episode is structured to be it's own mini story. (over the coarse of 12) Each episode's plot usually ends up involving some evil trying to steal one of the seven amulets (magical artifacts) and the twin angels going in and stopping them. Fairly simple stuff here, but each episode is so simple in fact it fallows a pattern i.e., Angles get in trouble. They are then saved by their classmate named Misty-Knight and then things explode. On top of that, the individual episode arcs are nothing original and shockingly predictable. (making them boring at times) Tack on some over the top cheesy writing and coat that in a remarkable level of stupid and the story is decent at best. [4]

ART:

A colorful art style in the first thing you will pick up, it's in your face and hard to ignore. The animation is and easily the best part of the show but its seems to be lacking in the creativity department. For example, the robot enemy seen in almost every episode comes in only three variations. Oh and speaking of limited choices, I can only count the twin angels having only six different attacks (two of them are almost the same thing) to be shared among the three girls. But I digress, getting back on the topic of the animation it is the best in the very little action and fight sequences being fast, fluid, and frantic. Saying that I did notice a lot of repeated animation, but this only seemed to be the case for the transformations before a fight. However, it was only 30 seconds in every episode so to an extent I can forgive it. Expect some generic looking characters and a bland school setting, Oh, and explosions expect a decent amount of explosions and the art really is not all the bad. [6]

SOUND:

(Sigh) The music in the show is pretty forgettable. Well most of the music is, except for the borderline obnoxious opening. It's ending that is a bit more toned down compared to it's counterpart and gets job done. As for the voice actors, they all seem to do a well enough job giving off their lines even if its lathered in cheese and over acting(That only a children's show can pull off.) though Haruka seemed to be the one grating on my ears the most with her very annoying forced giggling. (ugh) with only one memorable song under its belt and its only memorable because it's so overly obnoxious and a highly annoying main character not to mention I can't even remember the music in show. I find my self having trouble finding praise in the sound department. [4]

CHARACTERS:

The show has three main characters. First up is Haruka Minazuki, she's a bit of an air head also clumsy and overly nice your typical anime protagonist (I also find her the most annoying.) Next is Aoi Kannazuki she's is the soft spoken and dignified type and kind of the glue that keeps everyone together. Lastly Kurumi Hazuki, she's that little girl genius type so that means she's immature and kind of the weakest of the three. She also gets into petty arguments with Haruka. Unfortunately, these are all typical anime archetypes and the show really doesn't expand on much outside that template. The antagonist is evil just because and were not really given much of a reason why and Misty-Knight is just there as a way to get the girls out of danger not really developing much of a character beyond that. as for the rest of the cast, it's a tired line of things done elsewhere like a girl who trips a lot a girls whose good at swimming and an obsessed journalist hell bent on discovering the identity of the twin angles. It's been done in other places and it's been done better and not one character seems to stand out from the pack. [3]

ENJOYMENT:

Did I enjoy this show? If your still wondering that by now, no, not really. I began playing little games with myself, in which I would guess a stories plot or some event before it happened or the exact moment when someone trips, I remember smiling at a few jokes and laughing at the show when it did one of its often stupid moments (Like having our protagonists talk about there secret identity in a public bathroom.) , Again did I enjoy watching it no. Did I want to continue watching it, no, and will I be re-watching it in the future, HaHaHa absolutely not. [3]

CONCLUSION:

To put it bluntly, this show is was a waste of my time. It's story was laughable, it's characters were nothing more than cardboard cutouts. It's sound was forgettable with the art being it's only strength. It still fell victim to the huge mass of stupid that is Twin Angels: Twinkle Paradise. Is it the worst show I have ever seen? No, but there is honestly no reason to watch it.
