Towa no Yuugure

After waking from a long cryogenic sleep, high school student Akira Himegami finds himself in a world he no longer recognizes. The city lies in ruins from war, society is now governed by an organization called OWEL, and traditional marriage has been replaced by a new system known as "Elsie."

As Akira struggles to comprehend this drastically changed future, a familiar figure appears before him—Yuugure, who bears a strong resemblance to his girlfriend Towasa. To his shock, Yuugure smiles gently and proposes: "Akira... please marry me."

Confused by her sudden proposal, Akira agrees to travel with Yuugure, holding onto hope that somewhere in this world, the real Towasa is still alive.

Along their journey, they encounter the evolving forms of love in this new era and reflect on what their bond truly means.

Its an original anime no source " manga/LN " which means there's almost no chance of the anime to ever get a sequel .

Now the story isn't predictable bcz of the lacking source , and the type of anime this seems to be " sibling love " this already got alot of negative votes to even consider for a sequel the story is catagorised as " Sci- Fi " but tbh i haven't noticed that much the android part is not much to describe it as something cool happening also even the side characters having the sibling love thing makes the series kinda wierd like ... " have some normal romance !!! " welp 4/12 eps have been aired by now when this review is being written idk how the anime will end but the direction things are going i doubt we will get a very happy/satisfying ending they might just make the mc " Akira " get to meet his sister " Towa " or maybe make him married to the android or maybe the plot might be that the android is Towa somehow which seems highly to tb the plot...

So why did i mark the review as recommended well, IF YOU JUST WANNA WATCH SOMETHING WITHOUT HAVING THE PREASSURE OF THE SEQUEL OR WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT BY READING THE SOURCE MATERIAL " manga/ LN " THEN THIS IS WHY YOU GOTTA WATCH THIS ! My reason might seem blunt and nonsensical but here me out watching an original Anime ( which doesn't have a source ) is kinda fun in its own way cus you can't get spoiled until and unless you watch the whole thing and however the show might be going original anime's tend to get the endings fullfiling to the viewers so might as well give it a shot who knows the anime might get a spot on you " Favorites " list .

Well anyways this is all my speculation and people might not agree with me but at the end of the day its my review so why should I hold back ?

Preliminary (4/12 eps)

If you watched episode 0 of this anime, you’d be surprised by how this anime evolved... or devolved, you decide.
The episode tries to plunge us into this futuristic yet gilded world where AI is prominent and practically everywhere. It also shows the relationship between our MC and his fiancée, and the episode ends quite literally with a BANG. All in all, it sets the tone for the anime as some serious sci-fi stuff that will get you on the edge of your seat all the time, like Vivy.

Well... I can certainly say... not really.

Although it definitely has some serious moments in the first two episodes, ... that feeling of dread just disappears in a few minutes because how TF am I supposed to take this anime seriously when the literal villains are just a more violent version of Team Rocket?

They feel like caricatures, evil for the sake of being evil, like they take a nap on an evil bed, sip evil coffee from an evil mug, and munch on evil bread.

Their entire personality is basically “HAHAHA I’M EVIL, I’M SO EVIL, LOOK AT ME I’M EVIL, HELLO I’M EVIL” or “YOHOHOHO, DON’T TOUCH ME SLAVE, I’M DISGUSTED BY YOUR TOUCH YOHOHOHOHO.” And they get defeated by the heroines in one episode, maybe even less.

The MC is also the type of goody-two-shoes who does good for the sake of being good, but it doesn’t suit him because he’s a goddamn deadbeat. I’m not saying this type of character doesn’t work—it does—but it only works when your character is Superman. What our MC is doing is basically a crippled guy trying to save someone from drowning.

Then there’s Yuugure, our first heroine. I think Ishikawa Yui is just typecast as the calm and chill android girl. Every character she voices has this flat, unchanging tone that just feels familiar, and the same thing happens with Yuugure. The first sound she makes and I already know who voices her, and you can already tell what kind of trope she is. But out of all the characters she’s voiced, Yuugure is definitely one of the most annoying. Every time she says “It’s classified,” I wanna rip my eyes out of their sockets.

Then we got Amoru. She’s hot, she loves her family, and she likes to draw books... yeah, anything else about her? I don’t know, Yuugure said it’s classified.

The animation is great by average anime standards, but for an original anime project, it’s nothing to write home about. The action scenes are great though—they definitely put all the budget there. I don’t know why they didn’t make it more even in other aspects, but I don’t know any more about it because Yuugure said it’s classified.

The plot is a mixed salad bowl. It feels like the creator got lost in the sauce when writing this. They just threw everything in—there’s a fucking ninja android, a cleric android, an android that wants to marry you, an evil government organization that employs psychopaths, some mafia—it’s all packed into this anime so tightly that even the author probably forgot one or two things.
This anime is also pretty violent. You can literally see people fucking explode into puddles of blood, but rather than feeling like an integral part of the plot, it comes off as a last-ditch attempt from the creators to promote it as something “dark, bleak, and for adults.”

Why is it like this? I don’t know, Yuugure said it’s classified.

The worldbuilding is also weird. This is supposed to be a post-apocalyptic world set far in the future, everything in ruins, and a large portion of humanity is in awe of “how good it was.” Even our MC says that the way people live in this era is almost like the 18th century. BUT THEN SUDDENLY THEY HAVE A FUCKING MINIGUN, DRUM MAG, AND AN ARMED VEHICLE. They also have matchmaking parties with the most 2000s-looking banners I’ve ever seen. Like WTF? I thought androids were supposed to be the only cutting-edge technology left in this world? People already forgot what marriage is but somehow still know what a machine gun is? Why is this happening? I don’t know, Yuugure said it’s classified.

There are also a lot of interesting ideas introduced here and there, but I doubt they’ll be addressed in just 12 episodes.

I also can’t tell how you’re supposed to enjoy this properly. I wanna say you should watch it with your brain turned off and just enjoy the flow, but you can’t really do that because some plot points actually require thinking. But if you take it seriously and let your brain work overtime, you’ll find so many weird things about it. It feels like they don’t even know who their target audience is. So how do you enjoy it? I don’t know, Yuugure said it’s classified.

So overall, do what you wanna do. I only enjoyed it for the gals. You’ll have to find your own reason to keep going. I wanna tell you more about it, but Yuugure said it’s classified.

Preliminary (3/12 eps)

This one become a disappointment very fast.

The episode 0 was interesting, showed the world and all the turmoil around the development of very advanced AI and then androids capable of replacing humans.

Then we had the episode 1, showing the MC awakening in a devastated world where society is completely different. With the exception of the over the top villain that had a big neon signal over it's head showing that he was bad, corrupt and needed to die, the episode was good, showed how brutal the world had became, how powerful androids were, the oppression of a massive organization that threated peoples lives like nothing, ... the very good setup to a fulfilling and well build pos apocalyptic cyberpunk world.

Then came episode 2 and everything became trash. The android is lusting for the MC but don't explain why it needs to marry him, it even said that it had sexual functions and invited him to "test" it(seriously?), we had a whole explanation about the new polygamic gay marriage customs of the people of the future, them the MC showed to be a clichê good two shoes with nothing inside it's cranial cavity and another ridiculous villain imported from One Piece with LGBT makeup and a black/white bad personality that screams "I'm de bad guy, I'm corrupt, I'm bad, I don't care about the live of others, please hate me and kill me!".

And in the episode 3 we got lolicon, incest and a harem.

Sorry, but I'm fed up about these extremely clichê themes. Is time to these authors started trying to write new things, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, but please try to make something at least not 100% clichê.

Don't waste your time and don't give audience/time to these 0% effort written animes/mangas.
