Boushoku no Berserk

Fate Graphite lives miserably as a gatekeeper in a world where skills given at birth determine an individual's entire life. Afflicted by the seemingly harmful skill Gluttony, which makes him perpetually hungry, he is abused by the holy knights—the supposed protectors of the populace—who view him as a dreg of society due to his skill. However, Fate's destiny takes a dramatic turn after he kills an escaping injured thief. To his surprise, Gluttony activates, enhancing his stats and granting him new skills.

Following this epiphanic event, Fate receives a job offer from Roxy Hart, the only benevolent holy knight in the city, which he happily accepts. Eager to further explore Gluttony's true potential, he partners with a mysterious talking sword named Greed, who warns him that Gluttony is a taboo skill that breaks the logic of the world. Now forced to live a double life, Fate must slay monsters at night to satisfy his awakened appetite for souls, lest he go berserk and lose all chances at finding happiness.

I would definitely recommend this if you are into op characters who starts as a weak but has a hidden power locked inside of him. Here we get to see some romance without having harem. Mc only likes one girl here. Only thing I don't like is there is no season 2.
Here the story revolves around a boy who received a sin as a power which comes with huge advantage and also has big drawback. Mc doesn't know how to you his powers first and nobody has knowledge what his skill does other than giving him more hunger. So he has to work hard just ... to fill his stomach.
Story is somewhat predictable I guess but it definitely has its unique story which makes it a lot more enjoyable. Animation is good. There i lots action and adventure involved. FMC is very kind and strong here. She liked mc from the beginning even when he was weak. She been kind to him when all where strangers to him. Mc is smart and becomes somewhat cold as the story goes on.
I think you will definitely enjoy this if you have interest in such type of story.

Mixed Feelings

If Solo Leveling had more plot and no follow-through. 5/10

TL:DR; A beaten-down, weak guy gets handed some incredible skills and proceeds to make everything more complicated than it should be. It's not a revenge fantasy because the skill made me do it!


The Review:
This series, both visually and narratively, has a lot going for it. The problem is, it doesn't really explore any of the world it sets up. In the very first episode, we're presented with a society split in two - the skilled elite and the normies. The peasants are generally stuck where they are without abilities to help propel them into adventuring or ... more lucrative work. Then there are the best of the best, the Holy Knights, who use their power to put the commoners in their place. Sounds kinda interesting, right?

Unfortunately, that's about it. This dynamic isn't really expanded upon, and as you can guess, the MC gets a skill that lets him power level and make a difference - but he doesn't actually do anything to change the society that he suffered in for so long.

Maybe another season will redeam it. But as it is now, it's a 12-episode romp through "what if I become powerful and the prettiest girl in town noticed me."

Just another random fantasy action anime, doesn’t do anything better than any of the rest. Full of random cringy dialogue, and plot points that are just buns. Character designs are decent. The setting seemed decent, animation was completely mid. A lot of strange choices with these ones, another of those anime that make you say how the hell did they decide doing this one was a good idea. There seem to be like anywhere of 5 to 10 of these each year that are just so bad and go no where that make you wonder if they just like to set their money on fire ... or something. I’m not sure why Crunchyroll carries this thing.

No real reason to watch something like this over anything else. If you like this go watch solo leveling, or that slime one, they’ll blow your socks off.
