Our story takes place in like 1780 or whenever was the last time someone above the age of 40 wrote a love letter. Our boy tries to defeat the league right after just getting his starter and get flat out rejected not by the champion but by the guard at the entrance that always performs that useless badge check.

Unfortunately for him Red/Green wouldn't be released for another 200 years or so so no dokokashira door for him. Forced to do things the old fashioned way, he proceeds to stop being the generic male mc from every other romance that everyone hates and hit the gym. ...

Henshin Ganbou! caught my eye a cloudy Tuesday when i had nothing better to do.

The first thing i noticed about it, was that it was written by the same person who wrote Bakemonogatari. The second this was that the art was above standard, for a one shot, that is. Those 2 things was enough for me to read it.

Story: 6/10

Henshin Ganbou! is a story about our main character Sunaki, who is a backup player on the baseball team. Sunaki places a love letter in Hiroi's locker and hopes for the best. Hiroi is known as the "class madonna" so his chances are VERY slim.

Henshin Ganbou is a decent romantic one shot about a young boy trying to impress the girl he likes.

I like the simplicity of the narrative. The characters don't tease the readers or beat around the bush when it comes to sharing their opinion. It creates a story that's easy to understand and follow.

The art is easy on the eye and something you would typically see in a romance.

The comedy is well placed and executed, and after reading the story to the end you realize why certain elements were utilized
