Poor Nora. :´( R.I.P kitty cat... </3 This was such a sad episode.

Well, at least that puppy got a loving home. He's going to have a long and happy life ahead.

However, Nagi's situation seems to be quite worrisome. She needs an organ transplants as soon as possible. She's running out of time.

I really cried watching this episode

But I'm quite confused about this series.
I did a quick search and it looks the anime story takes place 10 years before the game's main story (grown up esola is a real beauty btw xD) but since I don't know much about the game and all im confused about Kaito...

His description says he's and android but in the anime he isn't? I don't know what is happening i hope they'll explain everything, but im enjoying it

The oversized neighborhood cat Nora always residing beside Chrom, and it warrants a full-on investigation of its tracks. A lost puppy abandoned by its owner, and rather in a world such as this, it would be transferred to a shelter. But a kidney failure from dehydration, loss of appetite and an old age, Nora's expecting the last of its days.

Nora's natural death, there is some possibility of taking care of it to avoid dying, and KNoCC tries their hardest to think of a way to save Nora. And even if they couldn't save Nora, at least they did a service to take care of it at home, together with Chrom.

Cats have 9 lives, and Nora lived its best life at home, invoking emotions for Chrom.

If this unlocked experience doesn't help them get pass Tower's level 3 then I don't know what'll help them anymore.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time a dying pet inspired a hit song >_>

Joking aside, this was an interesting turn for the plot. For a hot second I thought Chrom was going to study his way into working for the vet, but no. The androids are even less experienced than I thought, if they needed the death talk, but it is an important milestone for all growing people. This was well done, as stories learning about death go.

Back to our antagonists, apparently artificial organs do exist in this world, and the doctor spoke like they were an option for Nagi. Is big brother jackass refusing them because they're not from humans?? Bigotry truly is irrational.

I thought Chrom was going to study his way to becoming the doctor's assistant as well.  He probably as much if not more book knowledge on animals than anyone in the vet hospital.

The doctor said the hospital doesn't use artificial organs (just re-watched to double check).  He's not that much of a jackass, unless, of course, the reason Nagi is in that particular hospital is because they don't use artificial parts. Unfortunately, I think he's either desperate enough to fall prey to that vulture or stupid enough to think he can play the vulture.  Either way, Jackass is a fair assessment. LOL

This was a really good episode.  I'm happy it didn't have any singing in it.  Watching them androids embrace their newfound "emotions" and evolve is interesting.  I find it especially interesting watching the confusion and curiosity of the Officer Bora increase.  I'm thinking he'll go 2 ways: 1- turn into a crazed does not compute droid and try to kill our protagonists not realizing he has developed "emotions," or 2- he will evolve much in the way they are.

That's what I hoped, but by the end of his research, it seemed like he'd grabbed all the books related to cats, not kidneys or feline illnesses. Apparently he does not know how to optimize his research :/ I was also surprised that the vast majority of his research was via physical books and not over the internet (library archives, vet med resources, etc). That might also have limited his results, given how frequently medical textbooks become outdated by new editions.
The setting is technologically advanced, but there's no ubiquitous internet or personal databases for the androids to grep data from. Seems an odd thing to leave out of your android story.

Oh okay, didn't catch that. Thanks. But yeah, I guess Kaito had to fall prey to the hate group for plot reasons.

Chrom came out of the library with tons of books, since when are you allowed to borrow more than like 3 at once?
the cat likes him the most it seems
well, cobalt is too noisy and doesn't know anything about cats, so he is out lols

lmao, since Chrom's parameters are based on knowledge... as soon as Cobalt said "you don't know everything", Chrom went straight to ask Esora for a quest, he won't be happy until he knows everything

well a good part of this episode is about the team stalking a cat, not thtai mind too much, i like cats, and it's probably a good taste of what i'll get when i watch cat based animes later like ... Chi's sweet home

lol they couldn't kep following him, so they went back home, and the cat was already there, fun

there's the police guy and some kids with an abandoned puppy, the police sure likes talking hard lol the kids couldn't understand 1 word, but good thing they tookthe dog and he didn't need to die

talking about deaths, the cat is quite old and with a kifney problem, there's a chance of him dying soon, oh no, why would you do that right after we had a nice episode about him?
well let's hope she can treat him then, he could live a couple moreyears in the house

androids don't know about deaths, since they can just reboot after a shutdown
the police can never understand emotions, for him, since the cat has an high chance of dying, wasting time in the library is pointless
he even went ahead and bought a ton of books, at this rate he can't pay the rest again lol

after searching a lot and not finding anything, the white haired dude that appears sometimes, gave him a book that probably has the answer
after reading it, he decided to bring the cat home, possibly because animals like to be near the one they like, so even if he dies, he rather die at home with chrom watching over him

well, that's done, and that's not what i was expecting when i started this episode... this one was really sad, even Chrom learned the meaning of sadness, their "heart" keeps evolving

lastly, back to Nagi, she needs the organs, and the bad guy is trying to buythe brother with a possible organ donation ... but what's the price to pay? will he need to use his popularity as a singer, to turn viewers into bad people? that doesn't sound good
fav "new" girls from winter <3 (2 extra girls this time, but 36 seasonals so whatever) ... click sig for older seasons and more possible picks

Would you believe I typed more than that?  All that comedic gold gone.  LOL
Yeah.  I hope I haven't mapped out the entire season for myself.  It seems really generic.

Chrome isn't the most interesting character and the plot was a little somber with the cat sitting on deaths door.

Still liked that it taught the androids the meaning and fragility of life.

I'm not familiar with the game's story or how much it explains the hearts, so I could be spouting total nonsense, but I'm thinking that they could be a way to utilize the essence of a person whose physical body has deceased: the hearts are kind of like artificial transplants but instead of recovering a body, they're used to recover a mind and the inaccessible part of them is memories from their old life. First there was Kei looking like a famous sentai actor from ten years ago while having his parameters set to prioritizing children and now a 16-year-old cat being attached to Chrome specifically with that talk of "the verification process being incomplete" at the end there... These events can't both be a coincidence – something happened in the span of these ten years that forced these four to start life anew as androids and I'm definitely thinking they're some kind of test subjects for the heart program with the white-haired guy in charge of watching over the experiment. Also, the saying about cats having nine lives could be a reincarnation allegory related to the mains being reborn as androids.
