Well, the Future Devil wasn't exactly as I was expecting. I don't know how Aki's death is going to be, but for the Future Devil just wanting to be present, it must be quite a show, since he only wanted to be in Aki's right eye. This Devil is an interesting character, and I think we are going to see more of it in the future.
I forgot that Special Division 4 is now composed with all of the survivors of the other units, so I was wondering where all of the Fiends came from. We got the Shark Fiend, the Violence Fiend, the Spider Fiend and the Angel Fiend. They all seem really powerful, and all of them being together is actually a bit worrying, but it seems all is under control. Our usual gang then proceeds to search for the Snake girl and the Katana Man. Aki found some men in the middle, but no worries, because Makima took care of them.
Honestly, what's Makima's deal? She's really powerful, and I wonder what she offered to the Devils for that.
Also, it's revealed that Makima knew that her units would be caught in an ambush, but she didn't prevent it, which really makes you wonder her true motives. I believe she has a bigger plan, and that the sacrifices were needed. This also explains why she went drinking with them the night before, it would be her last time to see them. Makima's character is really interesting, and I can understand why she's so popular.
Makima's scene with the Yakuza was intense, and she really showed them who's the boss there. With only a stare she killed one of them. I didn't really understand the eyes part though, was it supposed to be some kind of trade, or just a threat? Got a little confused with that.
Aki found his way to the Snake Girl, and wow, the Ghost Devil is still alive, and is almost killing Aki. I suppose he isn't dying this episode, but I wonder how he's getting out of there. I think it may have something to do with Himeno, because the Ending of Episode 8 hinted towards that, so Himeno's spirit might be connected some way with the Ghost Devil, and the truth is, the Devil's agreement with Himeno was to protect Aki, so the Devil isn't really doing its part of the agreement, even if it has been quite some time since Himeno is gone. Also, the Future Devil's powers ended up being useless? Why did they make Aki make an agreement with it, if it's not giving him any advantage in the battle field. Yes, he can see the future, but if it's only like 2-3 seconds it's not going to be that useful. I think there's something more to the powerd of this Devil, let's see.
Only one more episode of Chainsaw Man left :(
Can't believe I won't have anything left to see, considering the popularity of this anime, and that it was already released in 2022, and still no second season? The movie is coming out I guess, but still.
Also, we got a new Ending, with Queen Bee this time around! I'm a big fan of their opening in Dororo (one of my favorite opening in anime), so I was really excited for this ending! The song turned out different from what I expected, but it's really good! I thought it would be more darker with some unusual sounds, but no, it was quite upbeat even. Either way, another great ending for this anime. My expectations for the endings were low, considering there were 12 of them, but they have been really good so far, the only one that I haven't added to my playlist was the ending of Episode 3 (although I wasn't a big fan of the ending of Episode 7 too).
On my way to see the last Chainsaw Man episode now!
Edit:

Didn't think about that, it would be a really interesting use of the Future Devil's dynamics honestly! It can really be just a future outcome, and not what happened! |
