| It looks like this show continues to deal with themes associated with death. Being confronted by such an important character for Jusetsu definitely causes some pressure. This episode gave me an eerie vibeand the expectations for Jusetsu seems to be always so high for her talent. |

| A request from the Flower Princess Huaniang to Shouxue, and her signature is the flower whistle that she wore, which is a sign of bad luck. And true enough, with Emperor Gaojun in tow, she breaks her story of her formerly deceased lover that lost his life to a doctrine, it's definitely a mystery. But things like magic are perchance in such historical times like these, and these instances would've raised a red flag, as such for one Ye Qingcheng that could shapeshift since she is a sorcerer under the assumed name Luan Bingyue, causing havoc specifically towards Shouxue herself. The Raven Consort and the Emperor like oil and water, it's a perfect symbol of their current relationship as one that would not gel nicely for more interactions. |

| Sub naming still stuck a massive one i see. But hey, let's focus on the positive parts of this show, like our tsundere Ryuu being a chosen one, by the golden cock ... yes, i said it. But more importantly, IMAGINE rejecting the emperor, lmao, but i guess good on her, now he'll be pestering her even more. Now, is this how this'll be ? New episode, new case and so on ? Like, this weeks "client" is the Flower Princess. Also, they really, really love that animation of Ryuu "casting" a spell, don't they xD, three episodes, three times we've seen it. |

| The first episode in spite of its visual beauty felt just an overture to a bland court intrique drama but after the third episode I have began to take a liking to this series. |

| I wonder if every consort have a cool title. Now I hope Xingxing will be properly explained. Because a bird that feathers become arrows, is awesome. That after credits scene, I hope isn't concerning. |

If the etiquet of this fantasy world court was more close to the etiquet of the period it is based on they would never refer to each other by names (that would be considered very rude or indicating intimacy), but only by titles. |

| I'm enjoying this in relation to others in the stellar Fall '22 Saturday animated line-up. I like the glamorous, languid feel in the culture of the inner-imperial circle. Love the explanation of the accession of the role of the Raven, the arrow, the bird(?). It's fun fantasy magic, too. |
| Yet another love ended too soon but once again their souls are now resting and it makes me happy. I am a bit concerned about Luan Bingyue and what he plans to do considering what he said about lost souls and that he found another use for them. I assume he came all the way there to take revenge of his people and is now hoping Shouxue will help since she's family. I'm taking a wild guess that he will do something to force Shouxue to cooperate with him. |

| I'm really liking this new series, and I'm cheering on Emperor Koushun x Jusetsu. One can tell that he's really smitten with her and she's just terrified to let anyone get too close -- especially now with one of her own people showing up out of nowhere with a decidedly evil agenda. One day, Jusetsu, he's going to make flowers bloom in the darkest parts of you and you're going to smile genuinely like you once did when you were an innocent child. The animation is lovely, the stories are intriguing, but I'm really pretty freaked out at that giant moth character in the OP and wondering where that thing is going to fit in the series. |

| Nice episode. We got a little more of Shouxue's past after her mother's death and how she was taken in by the previous Raven Consort. I once again feel awe at how every woman in this anime is so pretty. The Luan thing has still not passed it seems, I have a feeling it will come up again in the future. I also think that Shouxue's real identity might be revealed to the public sometime. Another episode and another lover get to meet their passed lover if only briefly. 5/5. |

| So this is becoming a mystery anime with the Raven Consort being asked to solve various requests, and that's fine. However, it does look like we may get some background/history on the Raven Consort per the emperor's request. Speaking of the emperor, that was harsh how the Raven Escort slammed the door in his face, damn. |

It also has the main heroine which helps different people to talk with spirits and relieve them of suffering, anxieties and fears connecting them to the people they love which they have. | Can someone who knows the basics of Chinese explain me which the honorifics that they are using here since the subs are fucking bad (like using names that aren't matching the audio wasn't enough)? I tried typing into Google what I'm hearing but I can't find anything useful. Like Jiujiu is using something like "nyannyan" or something to Jusetsu and other people. I can't find Japanese subs for this so checking it this way can't be done too. |

Niang niang (娘娘) has several meanings, including queen/empress and mother, but in this case, it's mostly used to address imperial concubines. The emperor's servant also calls him "dajia" (大家; Japanese pronunciation you hear in the anime is "ta cha / ターチャ"), which is used to address the Emperor, like "Your Majesty." |

| It was a nice episode. But why? Like why? Why would they mix Chinese and Japanese words? It's a different thing to read names differently, but to call the consorts Niángniáng (Chinese) instead of the Japanese version (hime or ojou sama or something else) while the Emperor is called Mikado (Japanese) seems weird. There was no such mess up in Kingdom anime though |

| Ah, so the Raven Consort is chosen by that bird (might be Fenghuang from Chinese mythology?). It's great she was taken care of at an early age, but considering she was isolated at a young age for so long it makes sense how she talks and acts. On another note, makes me wonder if the previous consort was also from the last dynasty. Darn I thought that if Ou Xuanyou is dead then that might be his soul passing from person to person during the episode. Having it turn out to be one of her ancestors makes things more interesting. |

| I just swooned at the way she described her deceased lover and when she finally got to "hear" him. I'm enjoying the interactions between the protagonist and the emperor. |
