Yup and the gender roles are so solidified, the guys are always cool and rich for some reason and then the girls are naive and incapable of doing things on their own? It really is all kinds of frustration (¬_¬)

I love all of those mangas! Uka from Honey lemon soda was my favorite female lead last year in any manga I read in 2018. It's still a process but she really is growing as a person and I'm excited to see how she ends up (◠‿◠✿)
And Yona is one of my all-time favorites no question asked there, I love her ☆

Hopefully, the stories will progress over time, I mean they probably will. Things become popular and then overdone and when they notice that people get sick of certain tropes they tend to avoid them and out of it grows a new type of romance genera.
Or maybe not? Shojo manga has been the same for past 10 years if not more. I'm still trash for it tho (ㆁᴗㆁ✿)

Oh yeah, I do have that app, I've used it a little bit. I have read at least Love like cherry blossom, that is some good romance (◠‿◠✿)
I have webtoon as well but I think it' really hard to find good series on that one for some reason, the quality of the stories is not the best on those apps either mostly quite generic but what can you expect when it is free (･ω･)v

I remember reading the first volumes of high school debut, however, me as well got very tired by the main character and ended up putting it down, oops (≖︿≖✿)
I've read a couple webtoons but I think most of them were Korean, maybe I have to check out the Chinese ones as well.
I LOVE Yona of the dawn, I also always think about it when I think about romance manga even if it's not all that romantic, still so good (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
