Hayate no Gotoku has always and probably will always be one of my favorite animes and mangas; Finally the third season has been released and I still love it! This anime is not for everyone because it lacks much direction and rather has many slice of life aspects surrounded by comedy and somewhat of an underlying plot. Similar to Detective Conan in that matter-many episodes go by in an individual type of way while the big picture with the characters moves along slowly. In Detective Conan its Conan's trails on the whereabouts of the Underground Organization while in Hayate no Gotoku its the developing harem surrounded by the clueless Hayate-this is indeed the ultimate comedy!
If you like comedy, if you watch other anime, especially if you enjoy slice of life, if you enjoy romance, if you want to laugh this was the anime for me and hopefully for you too! So go back to Hayate no Gotoku and watch it from the beginning. Now starts the review on Season 3.
The first season was by SynergySP. The second season was by J.C. Staff. Now this season is by Manglobe. Some of us feel very scared when as we wait for the next season that will either make it or break it. Luckily so far the different studios have not failed us and after watching the 3rd episode I'm glad that Manglobe has managed to keep up the good work!
Story: (9)
Hayate never had much of a plot, but the underlying advancements are the story to me and right in the 3rd episode we already get some advancements with Hayate and Hinagiku a definite plus for me. It seems they are moving the story on nicely. Actually it is said that the original author Kenjiro Hata wrote some of the story based on some ideas that never made it to the manga.
Art: (7)
I don't know but the art seems to have been getting weirder every season. The characters look a little freaky in this one with some attempted 3-D perspectives on the faces (none of which seem to be working for me). This isn't too important, expressions are portrayed just as well as ever.
Sound: (8)
The opening and endings are good. They didn't leave a super impression on me but then again none of them really have (in the hayate no gotoku series). Its a series that doesn't really need great music but still has decent music.
Character: (10)
The characters have been there since day 1 and are the main reason I watch this anime. They introduced a new character whom I do not really like but it would seem that she's part of the proceeding story-line. The old characters are as great as ever.
Enjoyment: (10)
Just the release made me very happy-but after episode 3 I found a smile on my face. I always enjoy Hayate no Gotoku and hope things stay that way.
Overall: (9)
Hey this anime is comedy and lacks many things. I give it a 10 but it can't be considered a "masterpiece" I guess. It is to me. read more

Overall I give Bakuman season 2 a 10! Maybe I'm just biased, but to me it deserves it.
If you enjoyed Bakuman Season 1 then you MUST See Bakuman Season 2, anyone who enjoyed Bakuman Season 1 as much as I should agree with my rating of 10 for season 2.
Some anime's are good, and their second seasons are just a drag, but with Bakuman, season 1 was great and season 2 is even better! The story continues from season 1, even after season 1 I wanted to see what happened next and I still feel the same now in season 2 at episode 6.
Story: 10
Unlike many anime's Bakuman is realistic. It shows many hardships throughout the story that the characters go through, just when things get better a new tragedy occurs. It really says something about real life, the realistic plot is one of Bakuman's greatest traits and it helps as get into the story even more when we feel the hardships as the characters feel them.
Characters: 10
Almost all the characters in Bakuman are very well developed, we understand them enough to feel what they feel on screen. I find when things start going well for a particular character I'm smiling, and when things start going bad I get concerned and can't even stop watching to go to the bathroom because I want to see things get resolved!
Art: 9
Well the art is a little different from other anime's but by no means does that make it bad, but rather good. I especially like the art within the art-that is the art that the Mashiro (the protagonist) draws.
Sound: 10
The sound is great, it really helps bring the audience into the story and characters though I don't notice as much as I notice other things in the anime, I'm sure that is because of my inartistic brain, I do however know that the sound is what controls the moods of the story.
Enjoyment: 10
I enjoy this anime a lot and I believe you will too, as long as your not a violence loving maniac. I would give it a try, and if your not hooked by the first episode I'll be quite surprised.

I stumbled upon Kenji manga when looking for good manga to read one day and boy was I lucky. Kenji is not very popular, and is not for everyone, the manga goes through much history and plenty of detail on aspects of martial arts. All this information is intertwined with a great story, but if your not into an informative session this manga is probably not for you.
Kenji manga is a manga that revolves around the main character Kenji and his experiences. Ever since Kenji was little, he loved martial arts because of his grandfather who was a master and taught him. Kenji would often get into fights because of his mental state of mind as a child but becomes more mature and less rash as he grows older. His grandfather one day leaves to China in search of his fellow martial artist peers, and leaves Kenji to train with what he has taught him. Kenji than spends the rest of his life pursuing a life of martial arts and at the same time he searches for his grandfather who never came back from China.
I believe the story of Kenji is outstanding, a great thing about it as well is the fact that most of it is realistic with few exaggerations. The art is not the best, some may not like the drawing but to me the small strangeness in art does not distract from the story (strangeness because some of the people look like gorillas). A good part of the art however is how the movements of the martial arts are drawn, the author takes his time to show step by step the movement of techniques. The character's are great, each character introduced plays an important role in Kenji's life, some being rivals and others being friends. Every girl in the manga however seems to have some type of attraction towards him making the characters a little bit unrealistic but each is introduced thoroughly and doesn't generally just disappear.
Enjoyment of this manga I give a 10 because I look forward to all the chapters, every fight you want Kenji to destroy his opponent and that doesn't always happen, but the next time Kenji will never fail to surprise both the audience and his opponent. Overall I give this manga a rating of 9, mainly because the drawing isn't beautiful, and informative lessons may not be loved by all. To me its a 10, to you it may be a 7, but if you ask me its worth a try.
Last notes: this manga came out a while ago but no one took interest in making translations for it until recently, the manga is now being translated by few people and is contently coming out every other day. Currently the manga is just recently reaching volume 13 (on 5/25/10), and in a month it should be near volume 15, so if your going to read now would not be a bad time to catch on. read more
