Such a weird but wonderful show!! at first I was a bit concerned with how the nudity would sexualize the female characters, but as pretty much everyone ends up naked at some point, and some male characters for the entirety of the show, I didn't end up minding or feeling uncomfortable about it at all. The idea for the story is kind of silly and weird but the way everything played out made it really exciting despite its premise. One of my favorite animes!! some of my favorite stories are the ones about everyday, mundane lives- especially the ones of girls as they grow up!! coming of age stories about girls are so less talked about and I love ones that don't revolve entirely around boys. this anime highlights school life and graduating and friendship so nicely and lovingly!!!! so perfect :( art-7 Not bad! just good. I like this sort of style a lot, but it doesn't really stand out either. It definitely doesn't deter the show overall though. The whole concept for this anime is so creative and interesting. So complicated, yet easy to follow. I love the different revelations throughout the show too!! So good!!!! Art- 10 Really cool style especially in the witch labyrinths. I loved the collage look and their use of famous paintings- I don't know if they used any others but the use of the Picasso paintings as the floor in one scene was such a great idea. Sound- 9 ...

Just super repetitive BUT that being said each episode was so so funny despite how stupid it was. Art - 7 The style is adorable and suits the show very well however... the boobs... they disturb me... and the creepy shots are funny to me but also. creepy. And women's bodies just do not look like that! I know it's an anime but.. come on Sound - 7 ...

SO so good. I was so interested in the story from the beginning that I honestly just couldn't stop watching all night long. The only reason I would give it a 9 is because I thought the character of Near seemed kind of pointless? I don't want to give spoilers, but it just seemed unnecessary and like a replacement character. Art- 7 Theres nothing wrong with the art, it's good, and some of the character designs I love (Misa and Ryuk!!), as well as the effects added for the deranged actions of some of the characters. But, sometimes the art was just a bit off? and ...

Beautiful anime with a really interesting and complex story and lots of good characters!! The show is so well thought out and perfect in every way. And the feminist message!!!!! My favorite thing in the whole world!!!!! I was really happy with how it ended both in the anime and in the movie. Very confusing at points but part of what makes it such a special experience to watch is trying to figure everything out. SO perfect! I wish the manga was just a bit more explicitly gay but still. The art is so pretty and beautiful theres surprisingly diverse characters for a manga (and also anime!) from the 90s. And I find the story so interesting and beautiful. I loved Anthy's story so much and I love how much personality the female characters have. During the anime I was confused pretty much throughout the whole thing but after reading the manga everything made a lot more sense. I would recommend reading before watching the anime. So good!! Gives me the same vibes as Dykes to Watch out For by Alison Bechdel!! I love stories about lesbian and bisexual women that are positive :) and I loved reading about them growing up. So much more realistic and sweet than a lot of yuri mangas I've read in my opinion. Also the art style was so unique and cute and I loved the main characters. The only part that I disliked was a possibly transphobic joke?? I wasn't sure but if you plan to read keep that in mind. I also really enjoyed reading the notes from the author, you can tell
