Mixed Feelings
Akagami no Shirayuki-hime or Snow White with Red Hair is a nice change from the typical shoujo genre. In the past while watching or reading other shoujo works, a common point is to have the main heroine and her love interest go through some kind of strife in their relationship. This device can easily take up a majority of the plot over the course of many episodes, and really affects the delivery of the story. Kuuchuu Buranko is a bit different in the way that it presents itself when you compare it to the typical anime that you might see. In a sense its more like the works of Satoshi Kon in the way its plot is written but its a bit more mild in the way that it messes with your mind. However don't let that put you off, because this is a neat little gem that's well worth the time to watch.

The show is overall episodic while loosely connecting the episodes, not through plot but through other aspects. So basically every episode is for the most part ...

The Castle of Cagliostro is a gem, directed by none other than Hayao Miyazaki himself. For those of you who have seen some of his other works like Castle in the Sky or Princess Mononoke this should come as no surprise, despite it being his first film.

The art style may seem a bit dated to some, but despite its age, it really gives the film life and is a treat for the eyes.
