Was wondering how Star Ocean was going? Thinking about buying it, hopefully it's as good as Tales and Lost Odyssey. Looking at picking up 1 or 2 360 games over the next 2 weeks! Friend is sending me down Alan Wake as well!
I can use anime examples! things like Love Hina and Nagasarete Airantou are good examples. Or most non anime children's cartoons :P I guess I dont hate it. I just dont prefer them much. I like a storyline.
My first anime ever was Sailor Moon as a little kid xD Saturday morning cartoons. I had barely any I watched. X-men was one. Had a story to it :P But one day I was watching cartoons with my little sisters, and they were watching Sailor Moon. It was like an animated T.V. show. Had a storyline, character development. I was amazed 0_0
But I had no resources to even attempt to watch anime until.... 14 years later or something xD Roughly >.>;;
It's the overly goofy slapstick I normally cant stand. I want to be able to at least pretend what I'm reading is happening a liiiitle bit xD I want a story, not a Bugs Bunny cartoon :P So I guess comedy is good - but unreal goofy, slapstick, blah blah the entire thing destroys the experience for me :P
I cant think of a good example offhand in manga at least. Whenever I try to explain this to people they end up thinking I hate anything with some silly or goofiness to it :\
Lets try this again! xD I live din Nome, Alaska for 8 years. tiny town. Only way in or out is on a plane... Roughly 2,000$ just for a round-trip to Anchorage and back....
Shoujo and romance rock! xD As a suggestion you might want to look up - Honey and Clover, Kimi wa Petto (Tramps Like Us is the English name), Skip Beat, NANA and Honey Hunt. Kimi ni Todoke is a damn good manga too @_@
None of those have magical girls though :P I lean more to the side of serious, with comedy as a factor, not a genre though. So that stuff isnt toooo goofy. If you like goofy :P But they still all make me laugh my ass off xD
