Hiya. I'm Katie. I'm 20 years old and I've been watching anime since about '97-'98 when Pokemon, Digimon, and Monster Rancher were the coolest shows ever; back before I knew what anime was, and before I had realized that I was actually watching anime. I eventually fell in love with Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, and Rurouni Kenshin, to name a few, which aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami and [adult swim] time slots. I guess you could say that was when my interest in anime grew into a full blown hobby and passion.
A friend introduced me to bittorrent in 2004, and then to the wonderful world of fansubs and manga scanslations. And I've been hooked ever since. I watch a hell of a lot more anime than I do manga though. I watch a lot of anime weekly, but the only manga I read religiously anymore are Naruto and Bleach. Everything else is kinda on a whim during random times. Never been much of a book reader anyways ;D
While I really only care to watch the original Japanese with subs now, I still have an appreciation for the dubs that I grew up watching that got me into anime in the first place.
Genres I typically go for are comedies, shounen, shoujo, action/adventure, and drama. I like a lot of Shounen Jump manga titles, so whenever a new anime comes out for those, I jump on it immediately. (Pun not intended)
I'm also a pretty big video game player. I love RPG's and am totally infatuated with the Final Fantasy series. Namely Final Fantasy VII. It's been my favorite game for the past 10 years, and Compilation of Final Fantasy VII = <333

your logic makes a lot of sense and i never really thought of it that way...it looks like the fillers do indeed suck... :( thank you for telling me about them and where to start watching...that saves me a lot of trouble on searching where the fillers end/begin... :D
i find it kind of funny that a simple comment about how the pillows is an awesome band somehow turned into a cost/benefit analysis of watching naruto fillers...lmao...

i think a lot of mangas end up rushing the end of it. i hate that.
geez, i do think Ayame liked that girl. They should be together. They both so weird. ^_^
but i juist can't get past it. Kyo with Tohru and Yuki with that girl. That makes me so sad. I DONT WANT IT THAT WAY. you know? But i guess ill have to live with it or find a million ppl who feel the wya i do and have them write to the author so they will change the ending =D
Tohru's dad was so cute, i read that chapter where he meets her mom. I felt so sd when she died. I think Tohrus mom was going to commit suicide but im glad she didnt!
Yes Yuki had a hard life but I think Tohru's story is just more touching. Sigh. I really dont want it to end that way
OMG Kagura! haha she hit Tohru. wow, i want to read it now. =p

Cause i always thought Kyo x Tohru x Yuki should be like a 3some =/ sounds weird. I mean no one should end up with any of them but i just dont see Tohru and kyo together. Maybe MAYBE tohru and yuki but I can't see Yuki with anyone else either. ANd what about kagura? Didnt she "love" kyo?
wouldnt you grow distant if some kid was controling you, and locking you up and beating you? Ha i think i would. I feel bad for Akito but it's hard to call "him" and her.
YAY fot Haru and Rin! but what about Yuki's brother?

im still mad about kyo being with tohru. i thought tohru told the story about the boy and the hat and said that was her first love?
i'm suprised akito can be talked down lol. she seams so unpacient. why is she so angry? cause she was forced to turn into a boy or cause she was suppot to die cause she the head of the family?
what about hana dose anything happen with hana. she just so weird lol.

okay, okay! you've convinced me...i'll skip the fillers...i take it that the fillers are super duper crappy (probably even worse than all the lame jokes involving sakura's forehead in the beginning of the series)...you've prevented me from torturing myself (a naruto savior!)...i hope you're happy...although i'll feel ashamed if someone asks me if i completed naruto... v_v;

hehe...that is indeed a good suggestion...but alas, i always try to watch all episodes of a series...otherwise, i wouldn't be able to feel right when i say "i completed naruto" because i know i cheated and skipped a bunch of crappy eps...lmao...i dunno...i guess i'm just weird... *shrugs*

w00t! i think it's safe to say that you win hard for liking the pillows...they're so amazing and i <3 every one of their songs...their latest albums haven't been as good as their old stuff though... :( you're also awesome for liking final fantasy...HOWEVER, squall leonhart > cloud strife, that's just common sense! lol...
the only thing that bothers me about your profile is the fact that you have sakura as a favorite character...ugh...she was so annoying and pretty much useless through half the series...which reminds me, i really have to start watching naruto again... :)
