Veeeerrryyy wholesome slice of life isekai manga. It's short with only 3 volumes but I think the author was able to develop the characters well enough for one or two of them to be at least somewhat memorable. The art is also super good, but the quality of recent manga has been great all around so maybe I just can't tell.

Of course there are some isekai tropes that are overused and bland, but I think the experience is better than the MAL score it got.

It's wholesome, cute, and easy to read. Nice pickup if you don't want to commit to something longer.

Genuinely don't think this is the worst thing ever. The art is awesome and the tension they try to create is really there.

Fun thriller read for a 4 volume manga, the main yandere was a well written and developed character imo. Definitely not the highest quality writing, lots of overused tropes and predictable plot points and it felt slightly rushed with not a very defined ending.

Really my expectations were super low seeing this 5.8 average here but they were surprisingly blown away. It's definitely mid but not dogshit.

Great harem romcom, some funny but slightly repetitive gags and a lot of parody things from japanese culture and otaku culture. Decent character development and interesting setting that hooks you to find out what happens next.

Now, what the fuck. This manga got AXED 15 VOLUMES IN?????????? THE LIGHT NOVEL FOR THE LAST FEW VOLUMES ARE NOT TRANSLATED. There literally WASN'T an ending to this series in the manga. Absolutely nothing happened. They just forced the arc to end and didn't develop on sooooooooo many things they introduced in earlier volumes.

Only way to find out the true ending of the series is to read summaries ... written by bloggers online of volume 11 of the light novel (which they read in japanese). I've read many mangas that got axed before but this one is crazy to me. 15 volumes in, an anime adaptation and soo much left in the tank.

The process of reading it was good but now I just feel empty, I'm never gonna witness the ending of this series other than the 4 paragraph summary I read. Absolutely disappointed.

I really like unique concepts in anime and this being an original show not based on another source really helped it imo.

The show felt really complete and played within the 13 episode confine of usual animes very well. Things didn't feel rushed and a lot of the lore was explained. I think the character development was done well for the main characters but it is true that almost nobody else was developed. I think with the number of interesting scenarios and mysteries that the show presented in the short amount of episodes, it is done very well. Somehow character development is something that reviewers ... can't understand, if done well an anime could be good with fewer characters developed. I don't think this anime would have been better if I knew all the backstories of all of the supporting characters, just knowing the MCs makes it less bloated and focus more on the situation at hand.

I also think the sound design in this anime really peaked my attention. Intense moments are made more intense and the amount of OSTs used throughout is pretty impressive.

Overall, a unique experience with thrilling moments, mystery, sci-fi, and gore is why I think this anime is great.

WOW this was better than I expected after having read the synopsis. A big aspect to romcoms that a lot of people dislike is when the mc takes too long, hesitates or just pussies out of situations that would usually progress the romance. I felt like in this manga the mc is NOT a pussy at all but when he messes up you can really understand him and the justification is usually satisfying.

The "side" characters where not annoying and actually helpful to the development of the main plot while being unique on their own. Some of their actions are still kinda cliché and expected ... but overall I think they fulfill their job pretty well.

The part I liked a lot about this manga was the way chapters are structured. Since it's usually just 4 panels per page, the comedic creativity makes it really great in many cases. The author is also able to really fit a lot of detail and content into each page and chapter.

In the end, I feel like this manga covered soooooooooo much in the span of 8 volumes. The ending was super satisfying and fluffy, didn't feel rushed at all. The characters were fun but got serious when it needed to be.

The World or Her was a really enjoyable experience even if it was littered with clichés and fan service.

Fundamentally, I would say that the manga does not have any real innovation or especially outstanding features to it. It's just that overall I had a lot of fun reading it. If you like series' that have a lighthearted and slice of lifey comedy feel to them alongside some cute romantic moments, this is a really nice start. Some supernatural aspects and a linear storyline keeps it still enticing. The character development was done decently well, I felt like one of the main characters was slightly ... rushed in development due to her only "coming out" in the last volume or two.

I feel like this series has a late 2000s harem vibe to it, just a lot of slice of life and comedic "arcs". Loved reading it.

Gave it that score because I feel like it's just a little too cookie-cutter to give it a better score.

I have just finished episode 10 of Violet Evergarden and thought it was a great episode so I went to see on MAL if the ratings changed at all from this episode alone. It might have because before I saw it at 8.3 ish and now it's at 8.44.

After checking the ratings I decided to check the reviews see what that got to offer. I was expecting lots of 10/10's at the top or at least half positive half negative. But instead I found literally all the top reviews to be negative and people have for some reason all found it helpful. Well you know ... what fuck the guidelines cuz this is about to turn into a rant.

Story 10: As someone who didn't read the light novel and who DOESN'T CARE about the light novel I have to say: The foundations of this anime is **FANTASTIC** fantasy world, Great war, Kingdoms lots of great settings. The anime talks about Violet living as a doll after serving the military and living through tragedies. People are saying that "every episode is just trying to squeeze the feel out of you" well first off there's so so so many "good" anime's out there that does the same thing and the entire foundation of Violet Evergarden is practically based on that (this is a sad drama anime believe it or not). Every episode might look like a filler but it really is not it develops on Violets character ever so slightly in various ways and all the CHARACTERS FITS IN TOGETHER (GETTING TO THAT LATER). Literally don't get people who hate the story it's quite simplistic, straight forward and interesting. This anime talks about serious topics and sad events that does happens in real life such as: Orphanage, Losing a loved one in war, Illnesses, Integration etc. I have no complaints on this story and I truly **ENJOY** (GETTING BACK TO THAT) it.

Art 10: Astonishing. The settings just compliments this even more. Kyoani has been putting out great works recently in forms of Animes and Anime movies.

Sound 10: Amazing as well, fits the atmosphere and makes everything just more enjoyable.

Character 10: ANOTHER THING PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT WELL GUESS WHAT no. The characters has stuff that Violet never ever felt as a person and stuff that she can relate to. Such as having family, Being in love, Losing a loved one, Having a break down and many many other feelings and emotions. Also the characters kind of match up with the situation of Europe during and after the wars.

Enjoyment 10: Sad moments, happy moments, tense moments, Character development, many many many other aspects made me wanting a new episode every time I finish. This show really really struck me.

Overall 10: I might be biased because I started writing this review from my enjoyment alone. That might be a good thing or a bad thing you can decide. I was really mad and angry about the other reviews which is also why I started writing this review so overall if anyone is pissed or angry about my review well uh dm me a response on MAL or Jessechugaga#6564 on discord. Hopefully some people got to read this xd.

I was really anticipating this anime when it was announced. I saw the cover art and was really anticipating some really ecchi stuff which I enjoy (Porn sells).But instead got a bit disappointed with the lack of everything.

6 for the story. Meh rushed because of the constant change of a girlfriend and holy shit shoichi is a tryhard.

8 for the art I mean you cant not love dem thighs

3 for character these were the most shallow, uninteresting ,clichéd and underdeveloped characters ever.Shoichi had NOTHING going for him and he has a boring hairstyle and is just all around ... annoying weeb. The girls in this series are the same too with a bitch, a shy gamer grill and a childhood friend...

Meh still was looking foward to what happends on the end so 8 for enjoyement.

6 overall because sure I was watching the show every week bu still didn't like it that much and wasn't that rememberable after only couple of weeks.

Ok Ok Ok I decided to write this review because of the criticism that this anime got for the wrong reason which made me rant on my own discord server...Anyways let's get started

I gave the story an amazing 10. Let me start by attacking the criticism i've read upon. For one people are criticizing the story for the ecchi scenes that are in it, which I have to admit,are a bit over the top. I didn't find harm in these sex scenes because if you actually freaking watch and understand the STORY of the anime (aka plot) you would know that the sex scenes ... should not be hot to you, it has deep meanings tied in with the plot which talks about a lot of the issues of some relationships and unrequited love.As you should know when they have sex or something they talk about a lot of stuff and at the end they never do it.In that time they advance the plot and makes you think more seariously about this anime.

7 for Art. I have no idea why people liked the art of this anime.There's so many anime out there that has better art than this and it was in 720p all along. Like no even kidding this is the most clichéd art and really basic but it doesnt mean it's bad like hentai art with some colorful scenes.

9 for sound cuz it sets up the mood pretty well but lacking sometimes.I really loved the opening and ending and as the weeb I am I played the opening and ending the whole way through the anime ;)

10 character because of the constant character devellopement which is really well spread out.Some people criticize the character devellopement because there's way too many characters to worry about, but my opinion is that every single side character devellops the main characters background I mean that's what they're supposed to do as supporting characters...It is also very constant how they move back to the main characters instead of distancing from them like in to love ru.

10 for enjoyement cuz I freaking loved the anime I mean the fact that I made it my first review because of the critisism people gave it should mean something...Also it made me look foward to every friday afternoon waiting for a kuzu no honkai episode which made my march go really fast.

Overall 10, you might be here like "Oh yea Jesse just wrote like a whole entire essay and he gives if a clichéd 10/10? Wow I just spent my time for nothing" first off fuck you and secondly I told you I was just attacking the criticism and I dont think it's bad to give an anime that I was looking foward to every week a perfect score because I really think it was a masterpiece that deserves more love.
