honestly it was a case where i just was sooooo frustrated by the main character! i know it was an exploration of depression and isolation, and there were some nice moments in that journey, but the mc was just... such an asshole lol and then when he assaulted that girl without the story really addressing it at all that kinda sealed the deal for me. and once i despised the main character, it was a lot harder for the themes to hit hahaha your mileage may vary! the animation was quite good, it's just that character spoiled it so much for me. (also it was one i watched with a friend and we were having fun roasting him, so that surely contributed lol)

Ase to Sekken is not romcom btw, its adult relationship romance and probably one of if not the best on that theme, it's seriously so good.
