My first contact with anime was when I was really small, but I only found that out years later, so that really doesn't count. My proper first contact with anime was sometime in mid-90s, when I chanced upon Crying Freeman while channel surfing, badly dubbed and on a weak tv channel. I saw the naked bodies and all that blood and I thought, cool! XD I've never seen anything like that in a "cartoon" before. Since then, I've had a "binging" relationship with anime, I'd watch non stop for months and then have a long break, come back and overdose and stop again XD
A little about me... Seems that I'm destined to wander from country to country, living a little here, a little there, born in Poland, moved to the States when a mere child and now living in the UK. I've been working for a couple of years at a company producing 3D visualisations. I'm an avid photographer with a special interest in toys, I've amassed a good sized army of Pinky:st figures and I also own some fashion dolls, such as Pullip and Blythe. I'm also a bibliomaniac so my place is littered with dozens of books, manga and magazines; I watch a lot of dorama, DVDs of which already filled up two shelves.
Another job/hobby, one that doesn't pay with money but I get lots of satisfaction and one that takes up a lot of my spare time, is running online communities. I'm the creator and admin for the biggest English speaking website and forum (possibly the biggest in any language, but I don't like to brag ;D) dedicated to Pinky:st figures, http://www.pinky-street.com . I also started and am working on a community for Asian fashion doll lovers.

the hot chocolate went really well!! i'm never buying from the package again! actually i've had hot chocolate for the last 4 days XD but it's just addicting and the weather is so cold..and yeahhh <3 thanks for giving me a great recipe!
i don't do a lot of cooking but i do a ton of baking. but i think i should start to cook way more since...i just feel like i should know how to make a few decent meals haha.

shounen is entertaining :D i read them all the timeeeee. i hear Dogs is really good. it's on my list but i just havent gotten to it yet -.-; i've been spending most of my time playing ff9 lol. but have you ever gotten that feeling? where you just want to take a small break from manga and anime and return to the real world for a bit? :)

that spiced hot chocolate sounds amazing. im going to give it a try with my roommate tonight! although it was hilarious, we had to convert the units because we dont use the metric systme. that bothers me..seriously. why dont we just use the metric system? i mean the rest of the world uses it!! and the spices is not too big of a deal ^^ i'm out of the dorms now, i'm a 3rd year so getting spices is pretty easy. i'll try it out tonight and tell you how it goes :D i hear from some of my friends that they add coffee to their hot chocolate too. i think it sounds amazing. chocolate and coffee <333

shame on me..but i've never actually made hot chocolate from like scratch. im cheap and use the packaged ones lol. how do you even make real hot chocolate? just melt it? some milk??? tell me one of your favorites! i want to try making them :]

european fashion is lovely though. i think of all these coats and boots and the wind in the hair look haha. maybe i'm just romanticizing it.
that sounds like the good life. i already drink too much tea and coffee though. but it certainly feels different when you KNOW it's freezing cold outside. i love hot chocolate..i love chocolate in general. i should go pick some up since i'm out ^^
i actually havent seen anything good lately..which is sad since the new season started. but i hear fairy tail is doing well..or ..mm the one episode that is out is decent haha.

LOL i just got the weirdest mental image ahah. it reminded me of my friend's school..i can't remember where it was from but apparently the guys were masturbating in the showers and clogged all the pipes. so the board put up a sign telling them to stop masturbating in the showers. i almost died from laughing.

I feel like a typical teenager right now, with 'I hope that my mom doesn't see my possibly kinky wallpaper' idea on my mind. I really love YK's artwork, and although I've been searching for a mangaka with even slightly resembling artwork (it's obvious that there are many mangaka who use almost similar styles) - and the closest I've come so far is Suzuki Tsuta, whose work I really love.
I'm not sure, but I've found the information at LJ Yoneda Kou community. It would be a shame, as I've really grown fond of her djs.
Hahah, I know exactly what you mean~ It's such a bother that I sometimes just switch to my 'fujoshi-mode' and just see everything in THAT way. That happened, for example, while I was flying from Delhi to Münich and watching the latest Star Trek movie; it didn't matter that Spock HAD a girlfriend - my mind just went *snap*. I'm happy that it still hasn't happened for LotR, as I cherish it as a symbol of my childhood. I just can't see the slash there, although there are numerous Legolas/Gimli, Sam/Frodo and-so-on canon references. I prefer to be oblivious~ I think I'm pretty close to the point of no return, but I'm still able to keep my mind straight and see everything as it should be seen (though, that's terribly relative - I'm aware).
Huh, funny - Bleach is probably the only fandom where I fully accept the slash. I think it's probably because I had seen well-drawn Bleach yaoi fanart even before I started reading yaoi manga. Sometimes I even think that Kubo is giving us bits of yaoi fanservice now and then, but that could be just my fujoshi-side's thoughts (still, I can't get my mind off of those 69 tattoos). I even read fanfiction, but it's mostly fer teh lulz - yaoi fanfiction (especially when it comes to Bleach) is very often written by horny illiterate teenagers and is a pleasure to make fun of. I spork fanfictions with a girl from fandom so often that it could be called a hobby.
True, it happens - tho I'm wondering whether that is a product of some canon implications or is it just a question of being a yaoi geek.
I'm really sorry D: The reply is so lengthy and I have no time to reread everything in order to fix possible mistakes D: I would have replied earlier if I wasn't obliged to tag along on a weekend trip to Austria. I love her djs, even though I had never thought of KHR characters as sexual beings before I read the first one - and now I'm completely drawn in. I think I still wouldn't be able to read any of KHR yaoi fanfiction, so I haven't even tried yet.
I should reread the djs I have in the correct order, though I'm not sure for the alignment of the most of them. YK community at LJ has been of great help <3 It's so sad that Nitro Koutetsu is shutting down >_<
