Overall:
Yup, 7. Everything is good but nothing exceptional. It's a good read if you're just looking for something to pass time. Actually, there are many parts that are confusing,maybe because it's short. BTW,it'll be raining with a score of 7.

Story: 7
The plot is a bit dramatic (especially the start of the story) since it is about a heroine losing her brother swearing she wouldn't cry anymore. It's about accepting death and moving on then meeting new people. This concept is obvious in the story but I think the way it was presented was not enough to move me.In my opinion, you won't feel the ... heroine's sadness unless you get to know her brother too. He didn't get enough exposure so I didn't feel any attachment. Well then, about the romance part...this is where I'm confused. They move on real fast that I don't understand what they're thinking. You'll just be like," did I miss any chapter, what is with this development?" For a short story, I think many events and characters are put up together that the story can't focus on one. Many people may have been disappointed with the ending and I'm one of them. It didn't really conclude what happened between the 3. At the beginning of the story it says everyone will eventually die then at the end it's like it's saying life goes on (I find these two ideas contradicting O_O) But maybe, that's the mangaka's point?

The drawing is fine I guess, though I tend to get confused with the guys during the first few chapters since they are somewhat similar but it improved as it progress.

Character:7
In general, you'll be seeing development with all of the characters. There won't be a flat character, they're so dynamic. Like I said, they constantly change especially the 3 main characters. The way they were introduced is different on how they really act. They are somewhat inconsistent with their characters particularly Miki. A guy who is just fooling around at first then becomes serious is not new but in his case his inner feeling are not properly conveyed that the way he acts is a bit confusing. Jun, since he's the silent type is also one who's hard to understand. So if you like the silent mysterious type, you may root for him haha The way they get jealous is kind of cute XD The heroine, Hikaru is optimistic and honest (most shoujo heroines are like this haha She's one who doesn't sugar coat) Yeah, real honest that she told Nene off. I like characters like Hikaru who can be honest, saying what she thinks is right. The other supporting characters were also given a little exposure and had their own stories but like I've said it's too short that it can't focus on their feelings.

I may have pointed many flaws but it can't be helped. There are only rare occasions where there are minimal plot holes in a story. I still enjoyed reading it, you know? You might too.

Hana-kun to Koisuru Watashi (Manga) add

Just finished the latest chapter (as of now) and thought of making a review. I tried my best to not show spoilers so most of it are opinions and not exactly facts. Here it goes:

Story:8
At first, the story seems like just an ordinary one- about two students who barely know each other but starts to get to know one another after an incident. But in this manga, it's time to unfold the untold story of a class rep. The one who's always a side character and has an unrequited love. I find the development of the story interesting and it's not exaggerated like other ... manga. It does have similarities with the others but it has its own unique charm. It's a bit fast paced but it made sure to highlight the points and important scenes. It's almost like reality but not a complicated one.What I also like about it is that the thoughts of the characters are well conveyed whether in words or actions.

Art:8
The art is similar to most manga out there but it's very good. You can distinguish which character is which unlike some where only the hair style changes haha

I love the characters!
First, Nanase - she's smart and studies well, the typical class rep. I'm sure you've seen characters who studies hard and so they have given up on love (I also like those kind of characters though) but she's different. She isn't insensitive and she knows how to express it. I like how honest she is and open-minded. She knows how to cry of course but with good reasons, not just random. Then, there's Hana-kun- he may be called a "delinquent" but not like those tough looking guys you see in shounen (those muscle men XD). He's actually pretty normal though he may do some reckless things. And he's in fact gentle though he doesn't know how to express it at times. I really like guys who change for the better for the person they love.As I've said,they are innocent and I find it funny because even Hana handles it in a clumsy way. The rest of the characters are all nice be it guys or girls. You won't only love the MCs but also the supporting characters.

Enjoyment:9
There are only few slice of life manga/anime that had affected my mood. I'm not easily moved so I don't cry. After reading a certain sad chapter, it made me feel depressed even after sleeping. I'm amazed haha It's not that sad but since I have supported and loved the couple it feels like my heart can't take it anymore seeing you sad. Poor Nanase :( So obviouly, I enjoyed it. It doesn't need to exaggerate things to give a good story. Showing an innocent, pure and funny romance is enough for you to enjoy.

Story:
Since it's romance I figured that there will be plenty of cliched scenes and concepts. I'm not wrong but it's "clichedness" is not that annoying. I somewhat liked because it is like a compilation of scenes that I would like to read. To add, though I said it's cliched, the theme is combined with new ideas made by the mangaka. It's like you know what will happen and it will happen but is accompanied by something unexpected. The "I'll be by your side protecting you" act of the guys is what I really like. I know it appears in most manga but it somehow ... gives a different feel. It's like all sorts of protecting and saving had been done. The story mostly revolves around the MCs and not much about the external factors like friends and family. They were shown but with little information about them.
Art:
Typical shojou manga. Not that great but good enough.
Characters:
The heroine(Wakamiya Hikaru) is such a crybaby but it's an important attribute of her since her smile and her tears are the two love interests' weakness. We have Honda Takara, a somewhat serious and slow guy who doesn't have interest in girls and Ichikawa Arata, a perverted prince. Not that ideal, right. But as the story progresses, you can really see that she is actually making a big impact on the guys personalities. You will see that they are growing and maturing with how they act, think and talk. I don't know much about love but I think the dialogues when they express it are not exaggerated unlike some with 3 pages just lamenting on a lost necklace or whatsoever (You know what I mean?)
Enjoyment:
I really enjoyed it since I like the "protecting" thing. It showed that to a man, a woman can make or break you.
Maturity:
There are some adult themes but it's more of a fan service I think. You could just ignore them, most anime and manga have them.
What I LIKE: I liked the tsundere part of Arata and the slowness of Takara. It's funny yet so cute of them. Since the idiotic attribute of the heroine makes the story interesting, I can say I half-liked her. But after choosing the guy I want her to end up, I was like " That was great Girl! Now I like you better!" ;) It showed how a guy should treat and respect a girl.
What I don't like: Too much fan service of Hikaru. The story will still progress without showing Hikaru in her undies. As much as possible, I want a romance story about high schoolers to be innocent since they are still teens. There are still some flaws and some questions unanswered or briefly answered.

I don't know if it will also suit your taste but as for me it's good enough :D
