With Nietzsche it is recommended that you start at the beginning of the so-called "modern philosophy", that is, with Descartes.
The list, in chronological order, would be something like this: Descartes - Hobbes - Leibniz - Berkeley - Hume - Rousseau - Kant - Hegel - Schopenhauer - Mainländer - Emerson - Feuerbach.

I think that with them you could already understand it for the most part.

Te comparto estos bellos pasajes de Herman Hesse: / I share with you these beautiful passages by Herman Hesse:

"you have your own mysteries. I know you must have dreams which you hide from me . . . I do not want to know them but I do say this-live them, these dreams of yours: act them out, erect altars to them I It will still not be the entire solution but it is a way. Time alone will show whether you and I and a handful of others will renew the world. But we must renew ourselves every day: otherwise it will be hopeless. Think about it! You are eighteen yean old; you don't chase after women of the streets; you must have dreams and wishes of love. Perhaps they are of the kind that frighten you. Don't be afraid. They are the best you have. Believe me, I have lost a great deal by doing violence to my dreams of love when I was your age. You shouldn't. When you know about Abraxas you cannot persist in that attitude. One should be fearless and consider nothing forbidden that our soul craves for."

"The person you wish to murder is never Mr. So and So. He is only a disguise. When we hate someone we are hating something that is within ourselves, in his image. We are never stirred up by something which does not already exist within us."

Espero que te gusten. / I hope you like them.

Wow, they told me it's a good novel, maybe one day I'll read it. Yes, Nietzsche is difficult, but not,as some would say, because of his themes, but what themes he talks about, he uses many themes from different authors and "subverts" them or takes them to their maximum to, using Heidegger's term, destroy it (Destruktion). That is why it is important before reading Nietzsche to know what preceded him, from the Pre-Socratics to Schopenhauer it would be good to "understand" him properly.

Likewise, I hope you continue to enjoy those books.

Que bueno saberlo. Vaya Gundam models suena chévere, supongo que es un esfuerzo de varias horas.
Y ¿como has estado en la lectura? ¿Algún buen libro últimamente?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good to know. Wow Gundam models sounds cool, I guess it's a multi-hour effort.
And how have you been in reading? Any good books lately?
ArteEstetico Aug 12, 2021 5:54 PM
¿Como estas? Ha sido un tiempo que no se de ti ¿Como has estado?/
How are you? It's been a while that I don't know about you. How have you been?

You said that LoGH is horribly animated, but is that true until the end? So far there has been a very mild improvement from how it was at the start and I've heard that the animation gradually gets a lot better and is quite good at the end. I mean the OVA did run until 1997, so there has to be technical improvement.

I agree literature classes are boring, but they have always been. What's changed is the internet. The internet provides us with instant gratification on 10 different tabs at once and constant distractions. Normally, when you get older your attention span is supposed to get longer and you can appreciate a lot more different types of art and entertainment. That's why some things are considered distinctly for "mature" tastes. That's how it's always been....up until the last few decades. I can tell you for a fact that my attention span has gone significantly down from when I was a child. Back then I could easily concentrate on one thing for many hours at a time. That's no longer the case. You can clearly see the difference anywhere. Watch any anime from the 90s and compared to anything from last year it would seem manic and hyperactive. Similarly, watch any movie from the 60s and you will notice a distinct lack of "eventfulness" or even just explosions. It isn't just that there wasn't the technology for it, there simply wasn't the demand for something like that.

You can notice the trends here on MAL, too.
Anyone older than 30 on this site will have LoGH, Berserk 1997, Mushishi and Cowboy Bebop rated at 9-10/10 and anything by studio Trigger at 6/10 at most. Then look at my list. I'm one of the worst cases/best examples of the result of that trend. I say that because a lot of the things I rate get their rating mostly based on "how much stuff happens" in a set amount of time and everything else to do with the characters, plot, setting, art have become secondary to my enjoyment of things.
JizzyBizzy Jun 28, 2021 8:38 AM
Unfortunately I'm not a reader, I just hate it. It's a problem most people in my generation have. So in all likelyhood I will never read the novels, even if I end up really liking LoGH at the end. I will also never read the monogatari novels, either.
Even if I do it it will be just so that I can say I've done it and give it a low score
And even if I had read the novels for these shows, I'll still watch the anime because because I want to have seen all the top rated and most praised anime.
JizzyBizzy Jun 27, 2021 11:40 PM
In fact I will finish everything in the top 50 and then the top 100, eventually, even as they constantly change.
JizzyBizzy Jun 27, 2021 11:39 PM
Check the rating. I'm pushing myself to get through it just so that I either get to the "really good part" or just have the ability to say that I've watched it. I also don't like dropping shows. I remember us having a conversation about the monogatary series. I've been watching it for a year and I've only gotten through 37 really painful episodes. I decided to put the second season on hold but I will eventually come back to it. I'm definitely finishing LoGH, however.

Loki may have pulled a LOT of shit, but at least he was comfortable with his sexuality.
literaturenerd May 30, 2021 5:49 PM
One example: Loki gets horny, but wonders how it would be to be the catcher instead of the pitcher. So he transforms himself into a mare so he can be fucked hard by a stallion. Then Loki gives birth through his horse vagina to a spider horse with 8 legs. When Odin sees this, he proclaims that the horse looks badass and decides to make it his official battle steed!
