The manga seems to suffer from a lack of foresight from the author. Basically the premise is that a girl is stalking/bullying to the point of psychological abuse. Now this is fine if you accept that you want to read something with that plot. I don't know why others are complaining about this part since it's very clear what the manga is trying to be. Now this part I enjoyed because it was basically Nagatoro-san on crack and with a more interesting cast of main characters. Mixed Feelings
To start off, for anyone who have watched the previous installments of Hibike! Euphonium, both season 1 and 2, you'll find that this new sequel doesn't deviate much, if at all, from the seasons in terms or storytelling or theme. It's pretty much a speedrun of Hibike! Euphonium condensed into 1 movie with new characters added in. There is nothing added in the movie that truly breaks from the mold already established by both previous seasons. ViVid Strike! (Anime) add
Vivid Strike has been one of the best shows of the Fall season. The story was extremely well done and kept me engaged. It never once lets up and in fact gets better and better.

One of the problems I have about shows with massive hype battles/fights, is that the last fight isn't as great as one of the previous ones. It leads to a decline in expectations and a sour taste in a "not as great as it could have been" ending. Vivid Strike is the exception to this problem.
