Great mecha action and good twists. Code Geass is super entertaining throughout, while Break Blade gets gradually better over the series.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
add

Madoka is basically Bokurano with magical girls. In both shows, children are tricked into joining what is essentially a death game with no hope of survival, fighting to the death against enemies of humanity for the sake of a greater good. Bokurano is more focused on psychology and maintaining a feeling of realism, while Madoka is more artistically oriented. Bokurano is longer, with a much more complex plot and cast, while Madoka is more focused, placing the spotlight on 2 main characters and 3 side characters.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

As shōnens, both are refreshingly unpredictable. They're filled with comedy, yet turn extremely dark in the blink of an eye. Some arcs focus on complex, large-scale conflicts. Both feature villains who do extremely immoral things, often for good (rational) reasons. Differences: Magi focuses more on the characters trying to solve conflicts, while HxH is more focused on survival. In HxH the battles are much more tactical and mind-gamey, and boss battles have much more hype and buildup.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch
add

Two of my absolute favorite mech anime. Both feature semi-realistic giant robots. In both, a soldier (/ rebel leader) attends a high school while hiding his identity. The conflicts involve mind games, strategy, close combat and/or politics. Code Geass has more twists and turns and is more packed with content in general, while FMP is more focused. Both have great comedy.

Both feature tons of brutally dark scenes, but the tone generally remains neutral thanks to copious amounts of comic relief. The plot tends to be fast-paced and unpredictable. Both have great visuals and beautifully executed battles.

Two of the most entertainment-packed series I've seen. Both have extremely realistic, tone-neutral character writing. In both, the plot is in a constant flux, filled with twists and turns, shifting fast and unpredictably. The battles/conflicts place an emphasis on tactical, strategical and political aspects.

MHA S4 has a badass antagonist, similar to some of the more menacing major villains in One Piece. Side characters have surprisingly emotional backstories. In general, both are strongly motivational shonen series.

The initial part of the battle against the main villain reminded me of Hunter x Hunter. The way it was executed was absolutely beautiful; definitely one of the best fight scenes I've seen in a while.

Both are motivational shonen series. One Piece tends to have stronger antagonists and the conflicts tend to be more epic, while Boku no Hero Academia has far better animation and is much more focused.

Midoriya and Gon have similar fighting styles. The enemies are menacing and require strategy to defeat. Hunter x Hunter is much "darker" and more unpredictable, while Boku no Hero Academia is more motivational.

Shingeki no Kyojin
add

Battles against bizarre enemies that initially seem straightforward to defeat, but turn out to be extremely dangerous and unpredictable. Other similarities: tons of characters dying, characters losing hope when facing an overwhelmingly powerful enemy. Differences: Gantz has a much slower pace than SnK. The characters in Gantz are 'normal' people instead of soldiers. Gantz has much more sexual content.

Both are realistic anime based on baseball. Both feature exciting scenes, an unpredictable plot and excellent comedy. As for differences, DnA has a much stronger shounen element to it, with a huge and yet amazing cast, great music and an impressive number of scenes that really get the viewer fired up, while Oofuri is more technical, unique and original, and all in all has a very realistic feel to it.

One Outs
add

Main character who outsmarts all of his foes (and allies). One Outs is basically all about strategies and interesting psychological tricks, and very entertaining for those who enjoy the 'battle of wits' aspect of Code Geass, Death Note and other similar anime.
