I think this is one of the best animes I've watched as of recent. To the people leaving reviews about just the comedy and romance part..... I suggest you watch the entire series, because this series is much deeper than what meets the eye.
I think what I thoroughly enjoyed about this series was how they didn't rely on borderline anime p*rn to keep the viewer entertained, they do so with hilarious facial expressions and action packed scenes. I think it's also quite refreshing to see the main character's potential love interests not forcing themselves on her in a crude and undesirable way that many
...
harems/reverse harems tend to do. They're all appreciative of her friendship and they respect her. This is something that is really rare to see in a romance related plot where often times love interests tend to cross boundaries in attempts to "woo" the main character. They never complain about being "friendzoned", in fact, they're grateful to be Anzu's friend and to be by her side and completely respect her feelings and decisions.
SPOILER WARNING
This anime really does a great job at handling comedy, romance, as well as serious issues that revolve around sexual assault and trauma. Anzu is probably one of the most entertaining protagonists who isn't your typical cliche. Like yes, she can be seen as "not like other girls" but her character is much more than that because she shows through her actions that she stands by every word she says. She's a caring character who understands the struggles and challenges her friends go through and always tries to be there for them, she's also not the type of character to pry on the private lives and trauma of someone -- she waits until they're ready to trust her to open up.
I think a critical plot in this series was about how normalized it is to blame the victim in any sort of situation in where it is an invasion of their privacy especially the trend of not believing in male victims, especially how Kazuki's dad blamed Kazuki for having a stalker when he was quite literally a middle schooler. He's a CHILD being blamed by being preyed on by an older woman. He's told to "man up" and that he's a "people pleaser" because he let it happen. I think this series depicts Kazuki's trauma extremely well, not in a very cliche way at all, but in a way where the viewer understands the weight of trauma that incident has caused him to avoid interaction with women in general. I think it's also important to note how women can just be predatory as men and it's seen explicitly through the women that want to hit him up in public irregardless of how visibly uncomfortable he looks.
Sidenote: One of my favorite scenes was how when the boys asked about Saki's cup size, she immediately asked about their d*ck size, and I thought that was one of the most progressive things I've seen in anime. Women and girls are sexualized so much in the anime industry, I'm genuinely surprised they handled common harassment like this extremely well.
I'm genuinely excited to see what this anime has in store for us the next season. I'm thoroughly surprised that an anime that seems like a surface level romantic comedy executes such serious issues well and handles them with maturity and an important message: The trauma that you go through is valid, your feelings are valid, find someone that you trust to share those issues with. Never doubt your emotions.

For someone who has been waiting to see this movie for months, it was definitely a let down.
There were an extreme amount of plotholes within this movie that didn't really make sense.
I thought they were taking the concept of Beauty and the Beast and pretty much make it relate to our futuristic society where you can experience things online and live "another U" essentially, which was what the movie was trying to push the entire time.
Here's a few things I wish that they did, I wish they flushed out Suzu and Shinobu's relationship, I feel like I only really got to see Shinobu
...
towards the middle part and I still don't really know this guy like at all. Like his lines felt really bland and flat, it was repetitive with no emotion, while it seems that Suzu seems to like him but they barely had interactions leading up to her liking him and it was already a prestated thing which I don't like personally because I feel like there could've been development there so that the viewers can see from both Suzu and Shinobu's POVs that they have grown to like each other and etc. That way, it'll feel more authentic rather than "this is just how it is".
Another thing I didn't really appreciate was the sudden turn of events where the "Dragon" (Beast) was actually a kid protecting his sibling from their abusive father. I feel like this type of situation needs to be a movie on its own instead of a random subplot point that genuinely does not make any sense. Am I missing something? I wish the movie fully focused on Suzu becoming more confident in herself and not needing Belle as a disguise anymore (which they did), yet I wish they also made it clear in regards to her relationship with her dad that gets barely mentioned and how their family was before her mom died. Like yes, in the beginning, there were small scenes and pictures here and there but I personally do not think that it was enough to tell us how important it was for her mom to be in the picture.
Overall, I feel like the beautiful animation and music was a waste in this film that could've had a clearer story and message to us as the viewers. Please just focus on one important plot point. I still have no idea if this movie is even considered a romance when there were clearly scenes where it was leading a lot of us to believe that "Belle" has "fallen in love" with the "Beast" and vice versa. I just feel extremely weird after finding out it was some kid with an abusive father? Maybe flesh that out a little bit more instead of just putting that random plot point towards the end? Yes, have mystery as to who the "Beast" actually is, but give the viewers enough hints so that it doesn't just feel all thrown together at once for no reason.
Look, I loved the music and animation. The story could've done so much more to tie in everything together. I'm just disappointed.

This manga is very cute, if you like a character like Tamaki-Senpai from OHSHC (Ouran Highschool Host Club), you might as well love Yanagi.
In this story, it talks about how Yanagi was the best of the best at his school, popular with the ladies, just a popular little boy with high scores, and a very wealthy young boy with a wealthy family. Until one day a quiet girl named Kuro transfers to his school. In one of the first tests that Kuro takes, she gets a perfect score, leaving Yanagi close to her percentage by just a few points. He tries to make her fall
...
for him, but little does he realize, Kuro doesn't care about him nor even want to be near him. In every sport, activity, Kuro would always beat him. Yanagi would always want to beat her and this kept going on, and he would always be in Second place. When they graduate, Kuro had already decided to go to a public school since she couldn't afford going to a private school like Yanagi. Little does Yanagi know, he transfers to the same school as her and tries to beat her. In short, they grow up together and Yanagi falls for Kuro, without realizing it.
Kind of like how you would relate to Tamaki's feelings towards Haruhi in OHSHC.
If you like comedy and romance, some cute scenes, this manga is perfect for you!
Or in short, if you love OHSHC you will love this one too. Especially Yanagi! ;)

For this overall anime, I actually really really enjoyed this series.
Both Magi Season tell a great story that can bring you to tears of happiness and tears of feels that strike you right in the heart.
As always, the art and animation was amazing! Story was overall beautifully done.
Even though, this season was mainly focused on Aladdin, I do wish to see Morgiana & Alibaba's training and what happened to them when Aladdin was in Magnoshuttat.
I really hope they make a season 3! This anime series is truly something that I would recommend anyone to watch. The Fan service is mainly based on comedy.
...
So for those who don't really like fan service in anime, I really do recommend this anime! Great story, wonderful character designs, amazing fighting scenes, hilarious moments, this anime has everything in one!
