While the two works are quite different from each other, both at the same time share some common themes, mostly: the division of a human society and a demonic society with a child protagonist. The Promised Neverland is not as minimalistic as Totsukuni-no-Shoujo, but I found both to be excelent narratives that explore such a concept.

Both manga deal with the same themes of being trapped like a canary in a cage. The difference between both however is that The Promised Neverland is more of a puzzle manga than Attack on Titan, which is an action manga.

Both involve a conflict between humans and monsters (or demons, in the case of Sandland), and are quite comedic in tone. A good share of action, and a idealistic ending.
