Hiya! Afraid not. With all the recent cuts to libraries, I ended up losing my job. :(

We weren't trying before the Wedding. We just stopped using protection.. and what I meant by "not doing anything different" was that we're not going out of our way to do "it" at particular times... and she doesn't lie with her legs in the air afterwards... lol

DIY aye? I don't mind doing a bit myself. Once we get into the new house I'll have to go into overdrive to get it all done for moving in. Living at home is taking it's toll. Need to go on a diet after all of mum's fatty dinners. On teh other hand I have started working out. Nothing extreme like. Just going for walks and doing exercises (push ups, sit ups etc). I thought that if I started a routine just using what I had (no gym) required, I'd be able to do it everyday (which I have). :D

I know what you mean with the bed hight issue. You get used to a certain hight. The bed I'm in at my mam's is higher than my own (when I was in my house). So it's harder to pick stuff up off the floor without having to lean over (usually the laptop). Small thing like. :P

Man... can't be arsed! Only 15mins to go untill freedom, but it's 15mins too much. Roll on 5.00!

You should speak to Chaos and maybe he'll give you more responsibility around the site. The important thing is to always think about making the site accessible to casual fans. When I was active, I would always try to keep it so that the community would never seem too daunting to outsiders/guests. There are people browsing the site all the time, so you just need to give them the opportunity to sign up by creating threads and discussing things that they can easily slip into. IMO, the most important board was always the news reporting board because that's where the majority of guests will click through from, so, it's quite dependant on there always being at least one quite dedicated news reporter (which doesn't seem to be the case with AUKN right now.)

Regardless, stick with it. People will come and go, but as long as the site survives, there's always the chance for things to improve.

And yeah, I'm working 9 to 5 as a website developer :)

As you may or may not be aware, my ban was handled quietly; without any ban notice being made. Many didn't even know I had been banned. And the reasons for this go beyond simple forum politics.

For a long time, I've exchanged messages from a user known on AUKN as 'fabricatedlunatic'. We became friends many years ago now and it was me who told him to join AUKN. It was also him who played a key role in my ban; conspiring with Rui out of spite.

To begin with, his messages were normal--we chatted about anime, manga, games... normal things. But after awhile he became... strange. It started with links to pornograpgic material, depicting anal sex in graphic detail, and continued until he only wanted to talk about anal sex. He begain to scare me when he talked about how much he wanted a daughter; presumably, with me.

This connected with AUKN and Rui shortly before my ban. I told fabricated I no longer wished to converse with him because of his increasingly strange behavoiur. This earned me aggression in the place of disturbing discussions about sexuality. In one of my last messages to him, I told him to stop playing the role of a drama queen online when he's a bearded 30-something man, in reality.

Things took a turn for the worse, following this message. What happened was this: he shared my messages with Rui. Normally, sharing such a message wouldn't result in such a harsh penalty, but Rui was angered by the message I'd sent. Why? Because 'she' isn't a she, as 'she' likes to make out, and as I've jokingly highlighted on numerous occasions. My comment hit a nerve because of the persona used by Rui online.

Fabricated admitted much of this conspiracy behind my ban in a recent message, where he revealed all of his scheming to me. He was hoping for an angry reaction but, in truth, I stopped caring about AUKN long ago.

...So, to answer your question: Rui would never unban me because 'she' felt personally insulted. If you were to ask, I'd assume the response would be - even after all this time - that there's no way I'd be allowed to return.

I did derive joy out of keeping the forums alive, once, but now you'll have to carry on the fight, in my place.

(Btw, I wouldn't recommend sharing this, unless you wish to be perma banned yourself. I'm only explaining this to you so you can understand my position.)

I click around the AUKN forums and main site once or twice every few weeks. I built it from nothing (including the layout; those orange borders! Man, that layout was so stressful to design but it still looks nice today) so I'm quite attached and proud that it's still ticking over today. You probably joined the site at a time when I was starting to fade, so I came across as quiet, but from 2004 until around 2007, I was on the forums pretty much 24/7 :D

It's great to see you've stuck around on there along with a lot of other people. When I handed the site over, I just wanted to see it survive and man, you're still all keeping it thriving. It makes me proud :)
