I had high hopes for season 2, was looking forward to all the unanswered questions presented in season 1, but this was a huge letdown!

Even though I'm still watching season 2, I had to write a review for season 1.
It is a good anime with a great plot and great potential, but is poorly handled by bad editing skills and almost no background music/sound. I understand why this show scored so low. For me, the main problem was background effects, music/sound and bad editing. Some of the scenes are dragged unnecessary long. And the lack of background effects makes it seems even longer. The most sound u hear in the background are ventilation/air condition noises from an office building or the wind blowing.. sometimes it even feels like you are sitting ...

I must admit I was really excited to watch this show as I have seen the BBC Sherlock series and loved it! And the fact that this is so high rated, I guess i put my expectations too high... Awww what a heartwarming story!
This anime is pure enjoyment! Warm bright colors, beautiful music, amazing and pretty art! Kyoto animation really delivers the best Best part is, its all real! there are no supernatural powers or exceptional skills. its just as real as it gets! Story is a bit slow at the beginning, and I wished they showed more flashbacks of MC past and Masa-san's life. But I guess its more in the manga? I'm really excited for the movie! Hope its a sequel and not a recap of the first season! Hope they make more seasons as well I think I've found another comfort anime

I am sooo glad i found this anime! Being a sucker for historical, cultural and edo style anime, this show was a perfect match!
I cant get enough of the historical Japan. The amazing old style homes/inns, traditional clothing and food, the customs and lifestyles of old era are my weakness🥺somehow life felt so much simpler and easier in that era. Ohh how I miss this show! I finished it 6 months ago, but still can't get over it! Absolutely LOVED this show!!
Imagine if you could get the chance to live your highschool moments again? i would definitely do it! If possible maybe go back to my uni days coz that was the best time of my life 🥰 This show really focus on the obstacles and difficulties each and everyone of us faces in the daily life, specially as adults. So i finally managed to finish this series! And watched the entire last season in one day 😅 Soo here I come to cry my eyes out 😭😭😭 I just have to write this review so i can get it off my chest😪😥
This is a review on ALL 3 seasons! I have seen very few anime that made such impact on me. I feel very emotionally attracted to this show for many reasons. I had really high hopes for this show, but it was really disappointing.
MINOR SPOILER WARNING!! I havent seen the 2003 series nor read the novel. I gave up after 3 episodes. It was so boring that i really couldnt bother to complete it, even though i hate leaving things incomplete :/ The show is episodic, which is a style i like very much. But there are too many unexplained matters. Like the bike Hermes can speak? how and why? Same with the dog Riku from episode 2. There is no background story of who Kino is? maybe they do reveal it later in the show? Some people ...

At first i thought this show was kind of boring and could not understand why ppl would rate it so high. But I must admit that after 4 episodes this show grew up on me.
Still its a solid 7 rating for me. Main reason for that is because of the main character. I found him a bit annoying and boring to be honest. Like his listlessness really annoyed me.
