Sooo I'm always bad at filling these things out.
I'm your average semi-otaku guy, I currently hold weekly anime meetups in Austin, TX (pm me for info!), play mmos and I like turtles. I also enjoy learning to cook japanese recipes, I make a killer pot of curry, or a delicious batch of melonpan, and even have a little bit of sushi rolling skills.
Ummm what else. My favorite anime of all time is One Piece, a lot of people never give it a chance, but without a doubt it has the absolute best storytelling I've ever seen in an anime thus far. My favorite 'classic' anime is Hunter x Hunter, and I still hold hope that another season will come someday, or at least they might finish the manga if the mangaka doesnt kick the bucket first (crosses fingers). I watch/read a pretty wide variety, as you can see from my lists, and I tend to have manga ADD, (around 60 current active mangas >>) I dwindled off on my anime watching, but it's picked up again now that I'm hosting the meetups.
Always looking for new friends IRL to watch anime with, or gather groups for conventions, so if you live in my area, feel free to drop by sometime! =)

Naturally, I laughed as soon as turtles were mentioned. Thats alright, I like laughing. Its nice to meet you and someone so close to home too :) I go to Austin several times a year so maybe I can attend one of your meetings sometime.
