I have to be honest - I had low expectations of Nana when I started watching the first episode. I've watched a bunch of anime that left me speechless, and had taken me through such emotional rollercoasters, and I didn't expect it to be near as good. If only I had known, the power of NANA.

NANA is a wonderful story; it's so realistic you can easily imagine yourself in the characters' shoes, you can identify with one or several of the characters, because the things happening in this anime, are realistic - these things happen to everyone during their lifetime.
Sometimes you'll find yourself so frustrated you literally want to throw your TV/computer out the window. Sometimes you're so happy for the characters that you laugh to yourself. Sometimes, you feel their sadness, and you feel your own heart aching. Such is the power of NANA.

I can't complain about the animation; it sure was good. It wasn't perfect, nor is it the best I've seen, but it was very fitting for the plot and the characters. The soundtrack was amazing with such catchy songs, well-thought out plotline that never got boring. They have such amazing talent, being able to create such a magical masterpiece as NANA. This is an anime I will be sure never to forget.

I think I'll try reading the manga now. It's not even finished, but I still want to read it, and experience it all again. Like previously mentioned - such is the power of NANA. read more

This is literally the best anime I have ever watched. Although I haven't watched as much anime as a lot of you people out there, but still.

I got caught already in the first few minutes when you get to know the main character and his story. I have watched some of Visual Arts/Key's anime series and I have to say that they really know how to get the viewer's attention and how to please us. Fantastic music, a great story line that continues in the next season (After Story) and a bunch of colourful characters to get to know and love.

I can't really think of anything in particular that I disliked with this anime. I never thought that anything could've been done any better, I was too busy with thinking positive things about it and constantly saying that it's a masterpiece.

Because it really is. It might sound weird and ridiculous but it really changed me, the way I think about things and how I act towards people. If you haven't already, please watch this fantastic anime and prepare for an emotional roller coaster as you will laugh, cry, be confused and perhaps angry at some times. read more
