It would be a sight!! I really hope we'll get to see that in this season and not have to wait for another year to see something like that animated.
samashi20 Feb 22, 2022 9:01 PM

This took me out LMAO
Imagine MAPPA actually animating that, I would literally roll on the floor laughing LOL
z_ach Jan 14, 2022 12:25 PM
Well i think 1 to 10 is fine with me but, decimals would be a nice feature although, i don't think they would add them anyways.
z_ach Jan 14, 2022 8:11 AM
oh i was wondering why alot of people don't rate anime thanks for letting me know!
z_ach Jan 12, 2022 12:47 PM
why don't you rate anime?

Satoshi Kon really showed his full potential with Paranoia Agent. It's nothing like what I usually watch, but that didn't make it any less enjoyable or intriguing.

It was around this time last year that I watched Banana Fish. It was a ride, and I really didn't know what I was signing up for when I watched it. All I can say is that I hope you can appreciate it. When it comes to JJK, I just think it's really generic, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's actually one of the most successful generic shows out there, but I just can't seem to get into it. The premise is really interesting and different from what I usually watch, but I had issues with the power system that didn't make any sense to me. It felt very inconsistent. I think the author rushed the development of Yuuji's powers and skills part. While I like Megumi's character, I think Yuuji and Nobara have a long way to go. The side characters are far more interesting and better well written than the main cast for me. And finally, I don't know how to describe this, but a lot happens in the first season, yet it feels like nothing happens. I'm pretty sure the side stories are building up and setting the ground for what's yet to come, but I still feel like it got me distracted, and at some point I felt lost and had to remind myself of what the original plot revolves around. Other than that, I do expect some of these aspects to get better in future seasons.

So the LoGH is receiving a reboot. It started airing in Spring 2018, and so far they've released a total of 24 or 25 episodes. The next season scheduled for Spring 2022 is going to be a long cour. Production I.G is taking its time with it, but I have no problem with that. It'd be nice if they could keep the same production throughout the entire show. After watching those 25 first episodes, I can easily say it's a classic. The plot is entangled and you have to really understand what's going on and each character's motives and objectives to enjoy the show, and that sort of engagement with the story is one of my favorite things in shows which is why I made the analogy with Attack on Titan. If you get into it, you'll really be consumed by the plot. The music and animation are superb, it's an easy and enjoyable watch.

Yes, I watched the Spy x Family PV too, and I'm really excited about that show. Many are patiently waiting for it, and the manga is highly rated. There are quite of few shows coming out in 2022, it's going to be OUR year as anime watchers.

Yeah, I really don't appreciate how some try to force their opinions down our throats. I totally respect it, but you don't have to be passive aggressive or word it in a way that implicitly attacks others who think differently.

Honestly, out of the shows I'm watching right now, none of them stands out. They're just fine, nothing special. I would recommend Sonny Boy though, which came out last season. If you're into trippy shows like Paranoia Agent, I definitely recommend it. It's a contender of anime of the year in my opinion. It's open to interpretation, and can be viewed and understood from different perspectives which I love. To Your Eternity is another good show, but it's not finished yet. Maybe wait a couple of more years before you watch it.

The one show I'm looking forward to though is Chainsaw Man. I have a feeling that it might be edgy, but I heard really good things about the character writing. I'm excited about it because one of my friends says that characters are very well written. It's also one of the very few action anime scheduled for 2022? Still not sure if it'll come out next year or the one after. JJK is another action anime that MAPPA is probably trying to release as soon as they can, but I'm not into that much. OH OMG, I almost forgot about THE most important show I look forward to after Attack on Titan. Legends of the Galatic Heroes, the new adaptation! I'd DEFINITELY give it a shot, it's not completed, they're still re-adapting it. The first half would be complete after next season airs. Let me tell you, if you want politics and good characters, plus some space action, this show is for you. The writing is very good, it's very realistic and well crafted. Lots of it can be projected onto real life situations and instances. I personally had a blast watching that show. I can't really compare it to Attack on Titan, but they're both one of the most exciting shows I've ever watched, even though LoGH doesn't have any spectacular action moments and it doesn't rely on shock value as much.

Let me know what you end up settling on. I'd be interested in knowing what you think of any of those shows. What are you looking forward to next year other than AoT? I could use some more recommendations lol.

Honestly, just thinking about the toxicity and the excessive nitpicking is exhausting and daunting. I'm most definitely not looking forward to it, but it's unavoidable. It feels to me like fans want to hate, but the story is pretty solid, so they let it out on the animation. I don't mind criticism at all, but it's the trolling and the immaturity that comes with it that makes it disgusting. Like, you can express your opinion in a peaceful way without personally attacking others who disagree with you or bashing the animators. The biggest problem with this fandom is that they just don't accept difference in opinions and views, and this applies to haters as well. They're just there to act like they're smart. There's so many things wrong with the fandom, I can keep talking about it on and on. In general, if it feels like someone is trolling or just spitting out BS, I hit them with sarcasm or just troll back. Though I try to avoid making it seem like I'm trolling to avoid warnings/bans. I also came into terms with the fact that some are watching AoT to primarily hate on it or out of spite. They chose that approach, and it's shame. As for the people who genuinely hate it, I respect their opinion.
"Oh Eren's back was hunched over slightly! They didn't use my favorite OST that I imagined in my head over and over again in that scene! MAPPA killed AOT and their animators are lazy!"

This kind of comment not only earns an eyeroll from me, but they also get called out lol. It's just ridiculous. Comments like "I can draw it better." or "I could've animated it better." piss me off too, but I don't let it get to me. Sometimes, the OP wants to get a reaction from you, so I ignore them. Other times I give in, but I try not to get involved in toxicity or take part in it. My approach will be the same next season, I'll be very active on the forums because, fuck it, it's AoT FINAL (for real this time) part. I can't wait to see how the story ends and what final takeaway messages it will convey.

I HIGHLY doubt they'll go anime original. Isayama himself knows better than that, but so many manga readers say that they can fix the pacing and dialogue to make it better, and I'm sure Isayama would contribute in that.
samashi20 Oct 17, 2021 12:44 AM
Pretty much what you said. I'm satisfied with the fixes and improvements they made. It really shows how much effort MAPPA is putting into delivering the second part. The first thing I noticed was the blur filter that got lifted. I'm glad they got rid of that. The color saturation looks a lot better without it, so that's one significant change they made. As you said, the CG is more blended with the background. It definitely looks more natural and fluid, especially when compared to some scenes in episode 6. I like the attention to detail as well. I noticed that the titan shifters' models looked more detailed and lively, and I loved the addition of 2D animated titan shifters. I don't have issues with 3D animation, especially when it's good, but having a combination of both 2D and 3D is always welcome. I didn't spot any off-model characters, so hopefully we won't see any more of that in the second part. If anything, I felt like all characters looked a lot more like themselves. This preview kind of confirms the leaks from a month or so ago that stated the production is going well. One thing I'm worried about a lot is the second half. The day the trailer came out, the anime website also posted a statement by Isayama where he apologizes to animators for making the second half extremely hard to draw. He admits that, he himself had trouble drawing it. And the leaks also mentioned that the animators were having a hard time with the second half. So his statement can be understood as confirmation to those leaks. Considering how the ending was not very well received by manga readers, I'm expecting anime-only opinions to be very polarized. So bad animation will only make the landing of the ending worse.

For this part, I'm expecting the animation to be more consistent, but I don't know how well the second half is handled. I'm just going to put some faith in MAPPA, and see what happens.

Honestly, Monke has always been disturbing to me, so I really don't pay attention to how bad or good he looks. I just try to avoid looking in the first place lol, which is why I have no idea how good the improvement he received are, but I'm glad he looks better to many.

Hello!

I know we haven't spoken outside the forum replies, but we've interacted in a couple of threads about Attack on Titan, and I believe you're a fellow anime-only fan of the series. I wanted to ask if you had the chance to watch the trailer/preview to episode 76, and what you thought of it. Do you have any expectations for the second part in terms of animation at least?

It's sad that the hype died. In the past, just for the first look of Eren season 4, you'd get over 20-40 replis in 2-3 hours but this time it barely crosses 10.

Of course the hype has died down, we're still half a year away from the final season and there hasn't been any substantial marketing recently. It'll fire back up once we get a trailer

Yeah, just like how the Yuri on ice movie trailer woke up the fanbase lol.

i usually love more the older ones but it s better to start with 2011
georgecretuu1 Apr 8, 2021 4:00 PM
hey! sorry for bothering :D i am from the forum about HxH 2011 or 1999. As a guy that watched both, you can start with which one you want. Currently, the 2011 has the Hunter Exam, Heaven Arena, Yorknew City, Greed Island, Chimera Ant and Election arc into an anime format. the 1999 doesn't have the chimera ant and election arc. if you want to start with 1999, after u finish it u can start 2011 version, around episode 75
