My opinion may not be shared by most of MAL users, because Crayon Shin-chan is rated PG(-13) in American countries and is for "Everyone" in my country, so everybody here sees it as an anime destined to children.
I'm not going to write a long review for this one, it's going to be plain and simple. Shin-chan is a 5 years old boy that disturbs every one, he's obviously and logically childish, he's pervert, addicted to television, his mother is really incredible to stand this impossibly irritating little boy. The show is full of under-the-belt jokes as well as troubles between adults because of Shin's way
...
of telling stories to others et cetera.
It's simple fun, and manages to stay fun. It is a long-running anime full of fun.
Note for those who read the manga but hadn't seen the anime, they are totally similar.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is one of the best anime to ever come out IMO. It starts as a fun slice-of-life show to extremely rapidly turn into a dark, mind-torturing, incredible psychological thriller.
The story is absolutely astounding, I always liked the "arc" thing, here it is made of perfection, win, and roxxance, to use vulgar and big terms. And I'm weighing them. All the mystery surrounding Hinamizawa makes you think as much as the main character.
The animation is basic, not much to talk about it. The sequel deals better with this issue. But as it is basic it is also agreable to view, so
...
it's not a real problem.
The voices of each character are... it's like, there were no seiyuu, the characters are talking as if it ONLY was the characters talking. Not a thing to reproach. I personally LOVED the musics. The opening is addictive and matches the show's mood, the ending although being sung in English by a Japanese singer -- and seiyuu (Rekka Katakiri) is quite good. The cicada sounds used throughout the anime is the best sound effect that could be chosen for this series, it makes you anxious, curious... Just perfect.
The characters look normal at the beginning, but as soon as something weird or discomfortable happens, they show their real selves and are really scary every single time you see that. It's crazy how great it is.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is without a doubt one of the greatest psychological thriller/horror anime. Not a bit exaggerated, scary for real, a priceless storyline, just stop staring at this page and buy the DVDs.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is one of those absolutely, totally, ridiculously non-sense anime. And this is what makes it really funny as hell.
Sakura-kun is a simple boy who struggles to live a decent life after Dokuro-chan, a crazy clubbing-to-death angel that came and started to live with him, for no apparent reason.
To resume, the story is stupid, as you can see in the synopsis.
The students look totally normal and basic, with the exception of the one turned into a monkey and the teacher, with his weird face and goggles, well in fact most of the adults look disguting, so are Sakura's face in critical situations. Sometimes
...
Sakura's mind will be shown with some hilarous metaphors using an adult character, or the angel and devil thing (well, here it's a vulgar Sakura and a graduated Sakura).
Well, the changes in art style are in fact most of the time the reason for the fun in the show.
The opening couldn't fit better, Sae-chan sings as she voices Dokuro-chan. The voices and sounds used during every episode make the show even funnier. The ending is kinda sad compared to the delirious anime, but as it is really relaxing and cool I will forgive Sae-chan because you can't dislike her.
Well, if you want to laugh after a messy day or because you're wanting to forget your hard times, BTDC is ALWAYS a good anime to watch. If you just want to see some funny random anime, no other can be better. If you want to see some serious anime or a great storyline for a funny show, don't even look for it.
And the sequel is even funnier (but two times shorter), be sure to check it out.
