After watching both seasons of New Game I thoroughly enjoyed the series, however the 2nd season didn't quite match the enjoyment I felt while watching the first season.
It is important to note that this is mainly because of the addition of the 2 new characters; Momiji Mochizuki and Tsubame Narumi. Throughout New Game!! I found the majority of the cast from the first season far more interesting and fun to watch than those two in particular. The second season also felt more story-driven. By this I am not referring to a more serious tone, but rather a direction outside of office itself.
On a
...
disappointing note this season didn't produce as many high points and memorable moments as the first season did, but it is still enjoyable overall. On a positive note this change in direction allowed the friendships of some characters to further develop.
I have no clue whether a 3rd season is in the cards, but if it is I eagerly anticipate its release.

I'm currently on episode 8 so far, however I feel I need to state my opinion of the show thus far. This may be updated in the future, but for the most part many of my opinions of the show are unlikely to change.
Stating Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, I had fun with the non-serious tone of the show and much of that has held throughout thus far. However the show has a few glaring problems that even casual watchers will have a tough time avoiding. For starters the protagonist, Mahiro Yasaka, is the most unlikable main character out of any anime I have ever watched. He
...
makes generic ecchi protagonists look like Romeo and Einstein rolled into one. Not only is Mahiro stupid in every manner possible, he's also an ungrateful cretin who constantly complains about his life, he pushes his problems onto other people, can't solve any simple social situation himself unless it involves beating on a girl. Not to mention he has the shortest memory imaginable as he seems clueless to the intent of other characters which have been stated by said characters no less than 1 minute ago in the episode IN FRONT OF HIM. Throughout 8 episodes he has had no character development, however let's try to focus on the rest of the cast. Don't expect anything, just your typical bunch of archetypes, in comparison I like the rest of the them a lot more than the protagonist no matter the flaws they seem to have. For the most part I like Nyaruko, however her blind affection toward Mahiro start to wear thin after a few episodes. Also I'm not lying about Mahiro, at one point he's threatened that he will become a gay sex slave and at this point I was cheering for it to happen, unfortunately for the show and its characters that plan didn't fall through.
Moving onto the story... I don't review very often and even I can predict the majority of the plot twists and who's going to be involved in the development. Honestly this isn't a show you watch for the story, but even then the writing is absolutely attrocious. The sound and art are average with no glaring issues.
If you decide to watch this show, turn your brain off, expect the obvious and just try to enjoy the show for what it is. Otherwise don't bother.
Also Mahiro is worst MC.

After watching this series my second time I feel I need to write a short review about this season of Digimon.
Sound:
The soundtrack here is outstanding (if you ignore the opening and ending themes). Lots of stand out songs which have been burned into my memories, plenty to choose, all of which I enjoy.
Art:
I felt I needed to mention this since it is one of the weak parts of the show. I feel some of the attacks and actions could have looked even more epic, but a lot of it was either speeded up or just not given a finishing touch. I
...
also noticed the eyes would randomly teleport before the head would move into the correct position. Despite the lazy art design I thoroughly enjoyed this show.
Story:
The story itself I feel is quite strong, I love that this anime pulled in a couple of digimon factions that we had never seen together before. However I couldn't help but notice the inconsistencies which occur in the show. One second a mega level is destroyed by an overwhelming attack, but next episode the same attack doesn't destroy champion or ultimate level digimon. This inconsistency occurs throughout the show to the point that I was questioning what the writers were thinking. Literally on the final boss, its attack defeats multiple mega level digimon, but then its attacks are stopped by mere champion levels.
Overall I love Digimon and I feel this show saved itself from the disappointments of Frontier. One of my favourites of all seasons of digimon.
Final score: 7/10

Our story follows one, Brandon Heat, aka Beyond The Grave, along his path from fellow hoodlum, to undead footsoldier all surrounding the Millenion Organisation.
Well, I guess this is my first ever review. I just finished watching GunGrave for the second time and this anime is easily one of my favourites. I will try to provide my honest opinion of this anime as possible.
Before I express my opinion of the story, I suggest that if you have never seen it before, you should skip the first episode as it displays a massive spoiler which for me personally took away from one of the most important
...
scenes in the entire series.
Anyway the main story is split into 2 halves, the first being Brandon Heat's and his friend, Harry McDowwell's path into the Millenion organisation. Harry is fueled by ambition for power, while Brandon simply wishes to stand by Harry's side and provide happiness to his friend, Maria. The latter half of the show, without giving away too big a spoiler follows Brandon along his path to find out what has happened to the organisation since his unfortunate departure. The 2nd part is more orientated on supernatural elements rather than simple crime-thriller and drama material presented in the first half. I among many prefer the first half of the show as it is often felt disjointed from the second half.
The art in the show is mediocre at best, very often character art has very little detail, and only real detail is visible during the action scenes. The sound is also a mixed bag. While SFX are crisp, the soundtrack is often hit and miss, especially in the latter half where some songs sound like failed fusion of two or more styles. Other parts of the soundtrack including the OP and ED are harmonious and enjoyable to listen to. The voice acting is also very enjoyable. While some voice actors leave something to be desired, many of the voice actors including Steve Blum as Balladbird Lee completely knocked the ball out of the park. If you question whether you should watch this sub or dub I would personally recommend giving the dub a chance before sub.
Overall this being my second time of watching, GunGrave will always be in my heart as a great anime with wonderful characters, a few heart-wrenching moments, and storm of bullets. Overall I give this anime a 9 out of 10.
