"On account of my belief in that no anime is ever truly and ultimately 'unwatchable,' I intend to score aforementioned productions with a number no lower than a 2. Provided the rating mechanism with which users of this site utilize, and due to my affirmation in the validity of aforesaid preconception, I have therefore compressed and altered said system's 'score range' from '1-10' to that of '1-9' marks - in order to meet my own personal preferences," is what I would like to solemnly promulgate - given that MyAnimeList.net had not resolved this somewhat tedious circumstance by substituting "[1] Unwatchable" with "[1] Appalling," to which I am most grateful.

When I recommend anime titles, or hold discussions relative to aforesaid shows, for or with another person - primarily, but not limited to the masses situated within the expanse of the forums - the implementation of the phrase "in my opinion," even during occurrences in which the aforementioned byword is not straightforwardly enunciated in a given form of text ["in my opinion," in instances such as these, is consequently thought to be understood], is quintessential and done so recurrently so as to clearly inform any one individual, either associated or foreign to this network community, that the suggestions or comments I have provided, in any or all occasions pertaining or relevant to the previously mentioned scenario, are earnestly presented via an approach conspicuously considered to be ultimately subjective. If, whenever, I perform said actions in an objective manner, then that, per se, would refer to another utterly different process.

I fervently abhor those who are incapable of either possessing or practicing the intelligible ability to simply respect another individual's views and opinions - the sole exception being when said persons are engaged in formal discussion involving the utilization of most, if not all, levels of constructive critique. The very essence of a ''good show,'' after all, is both interpreted and conceived incongruously in accordance with the perspective and differing predilections of each critic.

Well, thanks. A lot of what makes Gurren Lagann so great is absolutely plain to see (it's accessibility and massive fanbase has a lot to do with this), in that, plain and simple, it is extremely over-the-top giant robot fun. Of course, in countering the arguments against it, that's when things get a bit wordier. It's been said that you have to "turn your brain off" to enjoy it... which is simply not true. If you think that's what needs to be done, then you're missing the point... all you need do is simply revel in how willfully and whimsically nonsensical it is.

With that having been said it has been about 4 or 5 years since I watched Gurren Lagann so I may need to watch it again for clarity's sake.
