Little Busters! EX
add

Out of all the seasons of Little Busters, LB!:Ex is propably the most similar to Angel Beats, mainly because of the first "Arc" of Ex. We have a girl fighting against some kind of force on the grounds of school, the main guy helping her out and then them trying to find something in the underground of said school - meanwhile trying to dodge several traps etc. The similarities go on like that but to keep this spoiler free I won't go into more detail on this - you know what I mean by Angel Beats and the first Arc of LB!:Ex being pretty similar anyway. The other seasons and arcs aren't just as obvious with their similarites but still, since both are tear jerkers with kind of over the top characters and supernatural elements, you might enjoy one if you enjoyed the other.

Sora no Method is basically the same as AnoHana, except SnM being a bit more childish and not having any romance in it, the plot and character setup is pretty much the same though.

Both are about a phantom thief stealing things while being hunted by the police. The main characters act a little similar during the heist but their motives are a bit different. In both, however, the life as a thief runs in their family. Both shows involve romance but it's more of a subplot in Magic Kaito and plays a more important role in D.N.Angel. They have supernatural elements as well, though more so in D.N.Angel. D.N.Angel is a bit darker while Magic Kaitou tries to be more comic.

The main character is a thief who steals items that are possesed by evil while being hunted by the police. They both have a friend hunting their alter ego and a cute little "sidekick". (As long as you consider Finn cute anyway xP) Both involve angels as well. Also both main characters are a little clumsy at times. This makes the mood and the atmosphere quite similar. Both shows involve a lot of romance which gets complicated because of the double personality of the main character.

Those shows kind of gave me a similar feeling while watching. The plot isn't very similar but the character setup and the overall vibe of the shows kind of resemble each other. First off, you have a male main character who is kind of hung up on childhood friends that supposedly died. He is surrounded by a lot of girls that are quite strong fighters and own special abilitys (GnB) or weapons with special abilities (AgK). They include fanservice quite a few times and some of the girls are similar in their behavior as well. Both have some gore in them but also include some rather light hearted moments and "slice of life"-ish aspects.

Wake Up, Girls!

If you are looking for a music anime that isn't just happy and fluffy all the time but has a rather realistic ring to it, these shows might be for you. They aren't exactly similar in their overall topics, but in this aspect, they can be comepared. Wake Up, Girls is about a group of girls trying to make their way into the idol industry, realizing how harsh this industry actually is and therefor giving an insight in the japanese idol industry in a way not a lot of idol shows tend to do. It is still quite fluffy but it's more realistic than the average idol anime. In Nana, you have some people trying to become sucessful with their punk band and while we do get some insight in the music industry as well, it's mainly realistic in it's portraying of characters and relationships. Overall, Nana is still a lot more serious than Wake Up, Girls, but still, if you like some realism in your shows, and enjoy anime about music in general, you might like both of these.

Hanayamata
add

Both shows are slice of life anime about a bunch of cute girls. The "main" girl joins a club even though she doesn't know much about the subject of the club, but they have a little trouble creating the club due to a lack of members and advisor. Yui from K-On can be seen as a mix of the both main chars in Hanayamata since she is not very confident, like Naru, but she's enthusiastic and lively like Hana. K-On! is about music and Hanayamata is about Yosakoi dancing, also K-On! is a lot more lively overall. However, both shows mainly aim to being "cute" and have slight Yuri subtitles due to a lack of male characters.

If you liked the dynamics between the two main characters in one show, you will most likely enjoy this part of the other one as well. For once we have the boy who is rather boring, kind of helpless and pretty uninteresting at first, but gets a sudden development (even a very similar one). Then we have the pink haired girl who helps the boy survive and becomes a romantic interest (not so obvious in GC). While the girls are quite similar in their role, the character is extremly different actually. Other than that, they have a lot of action scenes, some unexpected twists (more so in MN) but overall the plot isn't as consistent. However, they can be extremly entertaining if you don't care TOO much about a few plot holes.

They focus on love, friendship and growing up while being at the same time extremly cute and very sad. The male leads share a similar attitude with Jinta (AnoHana) being a Hikikomori and Tomoya just seeing life as dull and boring and not believing in himself or a future. The most obvious similarity in my opinion appears between the first Arc in Clannad and AnoHana as a whole. They share a kind of "ghost" theme, a girl that is very similar and the theme of forgetting somebody and granting a person's wish. Honestly, the similarity in plot is striking. However while Clannad tries to break the tearjerking moments with well placed comedy, AnoHana tries to be more serious of the two. Yet obviously neither show aims to be entirly realistic.

Both have a school setting and a romance where one of the girls is basically THE definition of "yandere" and the boy doesn't speak his mind (or, quite frankly, is an idiot). There's gore in both shows (though in Mirai Nikki a lot more). School days rather focuses on the romance and the drama, while Mirai Nikki has a plot that revolves around a survival game, though the romance is still important for the way the character act. Both can be a bit disturbing at certain parts and both are kind of hit-or-miss shows with a lot of people loving them and a lot of people not liking them at all.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.

Both are drama/slice of life anime that revolve around a group of friends growing up, an accident involving one of these friends and how this accident affects the relationship between all of them. Love triangles appear in both shows and result in the friends driffting apart, though while Kimi ga Nozomu Eien focuses on the love like relationships and "drifting apart", AnoHana is more about those friends finding back to each other. AnoHana has slight "supernatural" parts while KNE tries to be a more realistic show. Both shows have a very sad and kind of melancholic last episode and the girl involved in the accident is a little similar in both shows as well.

These two are pretty much the same (the first few episodes are extremly similar) with K-On! being about a group of girls trying to form a band and Free! being a group of guys trying to form a swimming club. Both are very light hearted and simple shows and the characters are extremly cliched and moe in both. They also share the same producers.

Both Anime are Drama that have a kind of 'fantasy' theme to them and a huge focus on the romance aspect. The main girl is very similar in both shows (in a way of being naive and overly moe) and the cast itself has a similar setup as well (2 girls, 3 guys and similar relationships imo). Also at some point both focus on a somewhat important event, those episodes felt especially similar but overall you get a very similar feeling watch those two.

I started watching K while looking for something similar to ZnT and found that it was indeed a good choice for that matter. In both shows, the main conflict occures between opposing groups who are able to use supernatural powers and circulates around a mysterious murder. Each group is led by an especially powerful or important person. Also both shows work with time leaps quite a lot. Some of the characters are kind of similar (while not from the way they look, rather from the way they act or develop, e.g. Mahiro & Yata or both of the main characters). I also got a very similar feeling watching those shows, especially in the middle part. However, ZnT keeps you guessing a lot more and is overall much better developed. In my opinion the art style is a little similar as well but this might be arguable.
