It would have been hard for him to defend against all his hypocrisy, but Digi's behaviour pretty much showed him to be a hypocrite too. I too was disgusted by his comparison to GAR and lolis. Finishing Bloodborne leaves you with an immense sense of satisfaction. So few other games provide it.

I think he's able to compose his thoughts fairly well, for someone who doesn't use a script.

The Snob and Digibro had their final showdown. It was fairly anticlimactic.

Even when he does talk about other stuff, I feel he usually does so in a pretentious way. There are people worse than him, though.

I just think convoluted scores are a waste of time. I don't even see how it's possible to measure the quality of a show in that way. It doesn't make sense. A show is more than the sum of its parts for a start.

It was an enjoyable show. Not as amazing as some people make out, but enjoyable nonetheless. I was surprised to see it only had 26 episodes. I expected it to have 38.

I hope Bob is able to find a proper identity too, and I hope he drops the scores. Speaking of the Snob, I had a little back and forth with Digibro about him. Digibro hates him and says he's one of the worst anime critics he's seen in his life. The guy has quite an ego too. He openly says that he thinks he's much better than most other anime critics. I can appreciate his honesty, but someone who focuses that much on aesthetics has no business making a statement like that all. I noticed he done 5 20 minute long videos on comparisons between Psycho Pass 1 and 2. I've only watched a small bit of one of them, but it's clear that the vast majority of it was spent on aesthetics. That's just ridiculous.

I found those 'side stories' immersed me into the world better. Most of them did add to the plot in some capacity too and were engaging in their own right. There was a few that probably could have been cut out, but most felt fitting.

I agree that Tenma was a bit too righteous, but he definitely didn't remain static after episode 9, which was Bob's complaint.

Johan's presence was felt, even when he wasn't on screen. When he was on screen, his charisma was magnetic. As a character in his own right, he may not have been great, but as an antagonist in the story, he was perfectly fitting. The vast majority of villains aren't great characters. That includes the Joker. Meruem is a great character, because he's more than just a villain. The same applies to Griffith.

Honestly, I think Bob has been a bit influenced by the Snob lately. He's trying to be too critical and at times, it just comes across as very forced. They're both friends now, so it does make sense.

Yeah, I did. I wasn't very pleased with that at all. I figured he'd complain about the pacing, as he's done so before with other anime, like Berserk, but what he said about some of the characters made me feel quite angry. I am glad he at least liked Lunge, who's probably my favourite character, but the review didn't sit very well with me as a whole.

Princess Tutu is the only anime I know of besides LoGH, that features classical music. It's certainly nice to listen to.

Gungrave could of been the modern version to Berserk, oh well it was still pretty good though. Jojo is just dumb GAR fun, can't really hate it.

Yea idk I've seen Rori criticize LotGH before. He needs to though because that show has it's fair share of issues. It's amazingballs and I never change my score but it's not perfect.

I feel the responsibililty of ranking favourites and scoring is the most tedious thing about it. I've decided to make my scores invisible for now.

It's certainly very well directed. I have to give it that.

Glad you like them, which ones have you seen? I'm going to be writing a HxH review tonight. Haha I wouldn't say it like that but I do respect him. Not many people have the balls to call bs out like he does. Even with titles he like, he still doesn't sugar coat them. Like what he did with Proxy recently, despite giving it a 9 and having it in his top 10 he still criticizes it.

Yea the monogatari franchise is possibly the best the harem genre would ever have. witty banter and metahumar goodness but that's about it. Without the flashy visuals and dialogue it's as typical as a harem can get. It's like a weird hybrid of Mushishi folklore stories set inside Tatami Galaxy's setting with a basic harem for the plot. But honestly if you don't want to finish it then that's fine. Maybe you'll revisit it later when you're in the mood for nutty screwball storytelling again. But as it stands Monogatari 2nd season is the only other highlight besides Bake so nothing you should feel rushed to watch anytime soon.

The monogatari series was a mix bag. The best titles were Bake and Monogatari season 2. Honestly if you liked Bake then season 2 might be to your liking but if you didn't like like Bake that much then the rest of the franchise won't change your opinion. Other than season 2 with 26eps most of the others are just 4-5 episode in length. So if you want to finish the franchise it wouldn't be hard to do. Again it all depends on how you felt about Bake (since Nise only just glorified fanservice).
