Alright so after two decades hearing there will be a movie about Sherry and Gin.....yeah it made my day and made me get all excited for all kinds of news again. I had a lot of hopes and ideas on how this movie would turn out. Welp.....it surely did not turn out how I had expected. Which should have been logical but it is a little disappointing. I truly had hoped we would get something similar to movie 25.

It was very well animated and all typical Violet Evergarden.
We have tears, and emotions and laugh and smile. A full variety of any emotion. However I am deeply disappointed how this was adapted. I do know that KyoAni never truly stuck to the original novels but in this case.....I wish they would have done so. The story is fine, its nice, but it has not the special something it got from the novels. Many things are chanced or left out and give it a good impression if one does not know the novel story. But if you do know it, you will be disappointed. ... |
