Also, I figured I'd mention that I liked your review for Armor Hunter Mellowlink, it sounds like a great strategic anime for me to check out. Of course, VOTOMS would come first when considering what your review revealed.
I should write some reviews sometime too, I used to have my own site after all, so I can certainly say that the art of reviewing anime is very fun! ^_^

How's it going chief? Has life been good to you?
I've recently scored myself a cheap Mushishi boxset, which means I'll get to join you and Kim in the fun of that series. I have to admit I really liked the synopsis for it.
Also, I discovered the big issue with my computer, it has a nasty virus that isn't letting me reformat it (even when I put a disc in, it doesn't accept it). So I'm going to fix my brother's computer by getting him a fan for his processor, and when this happens I can use his computer to watch all the new stuff you guys have been talking about. I really want to see Natsume Yujinchou a lot, so I'm hoping I can get the funds ready for it.
In case you're wondering, me and my brother are twins, and yes, we both share an apartment together! XD (we've been good friends our whole lives)
See you around! ^_^

Greetings Mr. Mushroom! I have made another blog finally, though it was a rather exausting first attempt at a new column titled Extra Magic where I go into detail about a series I really like and try to express what made me appreciate it over time. My first column is on a personal favorite named Hyper Police.
I'll be looking to try more segments like it with other anime, but feel free to take a look and let me know what you think of it. You don't have to read the entire segment if you don't want to, it's just me asking for some feedback is all. ^_^
See ya around!

LOL I didn't just watch it I just added it to my list. I actually watched it a long time ago. Although technically I didn't watch all of it I didn't watch any of the filler episodes but I decided they don't count.

I wouldn't be surprised if Champloo ended up being a disappointment if I ever saw it, Bebop is a tough act to top if you want my opinion. XD
I'm usually pretty passive with my ratings personally. I've found some cool stuff in an anime I've given a 5 or even a 6, it's just the sad reality that the animes in question never really stand out on the whole due to a number of flaws or general dislikes for what it did.
I can also relate with a series having a few standout episodes that overshadow some of the achievements of other episodes on the whole. Nine times out of ten though, it feels like these series I'm referencing happen to have an issue with kicking a lot of ass in the beginning before sliding to a grinding halt at the end. XD (or in some worse cases, the series flew right off the tracks and didn't know what it wanted to do with itself)

Much appreciated, I will look into the animeblogger and throw out my uselsess anime knowledge (or opinions at the least) for the world to see. ^_^
Bebop definitely was an excellent series, how was Watanabe's Samurai Champloo by the way? Just curious because I've always wondered how good that series was.

I would like to apologize for littering your page with endless comments by myself, I seem to be filling it up with my Gunbuster mugshot almost the entire way down! XD
I'll make sure to ease up on the comments for a while, though I'm currently in the process of looking for a good platform to create some blogs, given your feedback has given me some rather useful ideas for expansion to say the least. ^_^ (I appreciate the support!)

I must bow to your superior Cowboy Bebop abilities, they are impressive! ^_^
I have the rough outline down, but you're really good with those details, I should really watch it again sometime. I still remember how mindblown I was by the action when I first saw spike open a can at the beginning of the Red Eye episode, that episode had some great coreography. Also, I even thought it was amusing when Spike met a real cowboy much later in the series, in which he kept hunting Spike down instead of the Teddy Bomber.
Also, it kind of seemed like there was a unique track for each episode when it came to Yoko Kanno's work on the series, that music did a good job setting the mood for whatever situation it was mixed into.
I can certainly say my strengths of memory come from the works of certain directors, in particular Mamoru Oshii, and some older 80s anime I've seen many times over (Angel's Egg and Robot Carnival for example).
The Bebop movie was pretty cool too, it was nice to see the series get the motion picture treatment.

I knew there would come a day where my memory would fail me! XD
However, you being a Bebop fan, this revelation makes sense to say the least. ^_^
As evidenced by my Director's blog, it seems I've forgotten about Bebop for some reason, and likely because it's been about six years since I've seen the series (I seriously need to buy myself a copy and rewatch it). It's an awesome series from memory, and I didn't have a problem with the ending to be honest, in which I've met many people who have disagreed with it. Also, I did enjoy the action sequences a great deal, as director Watanabe knew how to mix up gunplay with hand-to-hand combat to great effect.
Now that I think about it, Mushroom Samba is definitely such a uniquely bizarre episode that recalling it probably would've been difficult for most people who've first experienced it. XD
Pierrot le Fou was a crazy episode too though, I thought it was intriguing that all Spike had to do was shoot him in the leg to take him down, and as he was on the ground crying, a parade was suddenly approaching him...>_>

Ah yes, speaking of Cowboy Bebop, your username gave me memories of the said episode. I thought the hallucinations from the mushrooms were funny, but the one part I can never make sense of in my head was that guy dragging around the coffin, in which he seemed pretty messed up (but funny). I remembered laughing so hard when he told Spike he was going to put him in it, and then a truck ran through it! XD
Also hilarious was when the guy dragging the coffin got an ice cream headache, which was equally "out of nowhere" to say the least.
I appreciate the feedback on the blog by the way! ^_^

Hey there, I just made a blog on my 10 favorite anime directors, and I made sure to include the guy who did Baccano! His name is Takahiro Omori, and he's third on the list in case you were wondering. ^_-
If it wouldn't be any trouble, I was wondering if you could read it and comment on any segments you liked or even just some general feedback is fine. You don't have to read the whole thing, but I guess I'm curious on how I did for a long blog such as that one.
Any feedback is appreciated! ^_^

I appreciate the heads up with the licensing info, and once I get my sound reconfigured, I will make sure to check it out in the way it was intended! :D

Got some problems with the sound on my computer, so checking out Baccano! will have to wait for a bit...though I seem to notice that a lot of sites have it listed as "Licensed" for some reason, which sucks because they're not saying who the heck licensed it. : (
Do you know if it really is licensed by chance?

Thanks for the compliment, I do love me some Gunbuster, that's for sure! :D
Ghost Hound would probably be up my alley if its anything like Lain, so I guess I'll keep that in mind. Also, I agree that REC was a nice escape from most Romance anime I've seen, that's for sure. I only hope that someone else out there wishes to try what it did, as far as providing situations that are not the norm to say the least.
And I know I'll enjoy Baccano! when I see it!

I didn't realize to look for it earlier, but when I recommended Lain and REC, I suddenly noticed you've already seen REC (and gave it the same rating too! :D).
So in place of REC, I will recommend Spirit of Wonder just to stay in the same relative ballbark.
