i totally agree with you on what you said! I've seen some anime that have crappy dubs, but i would switch them with the japanese dub. I for one find it stupid and redundant to release an anime on dvd with only subs and not dub it! who knows, if it were dubbed, it would be pretty good (though it will differ from person to person).
And i have to say, you have one hell of a collection! it's bigger than mine!

that's simple:
I'll watch an anime (in either japanese or english) to see if it's good or not, if i like it, i'll buy the dvd. I'm sometimes not a patient person so waiting for an anime i like to be licensed and put out on dvd is not my thing.
